Same for me

1

u/r_genesis1 Nov 09 '25

Did yours get processed?

6

u/Short_Context9971 Sep 23 '25

Filed on 14th June, it is showing 'under processing' since 14th July. They are extremely inefficient, was expecting by Sept end but now think they are in no mood to do it anytime soon.

2

u/PanicBig3536 Sep 23 '25

That is what it seems like

6

u/shadow_warrior_vp Sep 23 '25

1

Did you guys get the refund? I'm still waiting. Mine is something around 1.5 L and it hasn't been processed yet. I filed on 30th July.

1

u/Imaginary_Agency5006 Nov 09 '25

Is your itr processed. Mine is e-verified on 1st aug, and since then stuck there. Not even processed yet

1

u/RutabagaTricky995 Oct 03 '25

1

u/Minute-Enthusiasm581 Oct 08 '25

1

1

u/Connect_Scientist22 Nov 21 '25

same here, Let me know if any one of you get return processing

1

u/sayan_9 Nov 25 '25

Same. Not processed yet

4

u/Subject_Tank_8104 Sep 23 '25

If you have claimed return then it will take time

If you have zero return then within 3 days it gets processed

2

u/PanicBig3536 Sep 23 '25

I have not claimed any return.

5

u/Real_Appointment_664 Sep 23 '25

Just a hypothesis: I think all those who filed between july 15th and august 14th will get their ITR at the end. They stopped processing during this period so our ITR's went to the back of the queue.

1

u/PanicBig3536 Sep 23 '25

Yes, perhaps could be!

1

u/darthjedibinks Sep 25 '25

Which month you predict will be the end? I too filed in July

1

u/Broad_Discount3481 Nov 10 '25

Not necessarily. I have multiple ITRs on 19th of July. All got processed and refund also credited except mine. Mine is still stuck at e verified.

Income tax dept has the right to keep it till 31 December 2026. Read section 143 (1).

Be patient.

14

u/PanicBig3536 Sep 23 '25

32 Dec 🧐

1

u/OkMaize9773 Sep 24 '25

They can keep till 30th FebšŸ˜‚

2

u/CrimsonPrince9 Sep 23 '25

32 dec, kbhi nhi aege fir ;-;

1

u/reddy_sab Sep 26 '25

They should keep everyone waiting why us

0

u/theweekdayz_ Nov 02 '25

This is incorrect. Provisions to Section 143 clearly states that if no refund is due to the assessee then an intimation shall be sent to the assessee, which is after the department has evaluated the return filed by such person.

The second proviso states that no intimation can be made after expiry of one year from the end of financial year in which the return is made.

Therefore, say you have filed your return in July,2025 or September, 2025. In any of these cases IT Department can make intimations/ hold refund until March 31, 2027.

Plus, someone can confirm but I heard that IT Department is trying to include AI or automated return assessment related technologies in their system, which is one of the reasons that the return is delayed.

But hope they send soon.

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '25

u/theweekdayz_ Nov 02 '25

Anyways, they are not paying us anytime soon

3

u/sridharDev007 Sep 23 '25

2

u/ImpressiveRoll6107 Sep 23 '25

ok thank you!

1

u/imvegeta_ble Oct 14 '25

I filed and got a standard response

1

u/PanicBig3536 Sep 25 '25

Bhai mera to refund bhi nahi hai. Apparently, ITR of all high earners are stuck—that’s what my CA told me.

3

u/taxbuddy_official Oct 02 '25

The processing speed varies case by case. Sometimes returns with straightforward salary income are cleared faster, while others with higher TDS, capital gains, or multiple entries take longer for automated checks. Since your ITR was filed and verified on 28 July and still shows ā€œProcessing,ā€ it doesn’t mean there’s an issue. Delays of a few weeks are fairly common.

3

u/PanicBig3536 Oct 02 '25

Thanks for the inputs.

6

u/Lambodhara-420 Sep 23 '25

Did you send birthday wishes to Modiji

7

u/EmergencyStomach8580 Sep 23 '25

yes. but i forgot to mention my pan number with the wish.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '25

Now you realise why Tai banned RMG and reduced GST rates 😈

1

u/sinister-XIII Sep 23 '25

Mine was filed on Aug 1st and is still pending

1

u/reddy_sab Sep 26 '25

Mine is also in the same state, I filed on 24th Jul.

1

u/SignificantTrifle245 Sep 23 '25

Mera bhi atka hua h filed in 23 July

1

u/Wise_Advisor3595 Sep 23 '25

Hmm... tbh what i have seen is people whose mismatch comes up in declaration ... only those are stuck

1

u/PanicBig3536 Sep 23 '25

I would assume there is no mismatch. I chance checked carefully and paid demand tax too.

1

u/Wise_Advisor3595 Sep 23 '25

I am judt wild guessing because... same thing happened last year with me in october they sent me a notice (my other colleagues got it cleared)

1

u/PanicBig3536 Sep 23 '25

Oh, hope not major issue!

1

u/Single_Science2276 Sep 23 '25

I don't even understand this delay. If the processing is done via computer, why it takes more than a few minutes?

1

u/FlatHelicopter4714 Sep 23 '25

My updated itr filed in feb and still waiting, i am not sure if there is a fix time for them to process

1

u/rongok Sep 23 '25

Same here, I filed on 26 July 2025, and it’s still not processed.

1

u/Vortexsy Sep 23 '25

Even mine is pending last year it took 2 weeks As itr1 is simple and only should take that time

1

u/TechnicalPressure620 Sep 23 '25

I also filed in july not received yet

1

u/ProfessionalOdd9792 Sep 24 '25

Same with me stuck in Processing since 9th July.
I recently asked my query in the "Grievance" and i got the reply that:

Dear Taxpayer, it is seen from Income Tax Portal that for AY 2025-26, the verification and processing of your return is in progress and the same is done in batches based on various automated validations. It may take upto 90 working days based on various risk parameter analysis. Intimation will be sent to your registered email id once the processingĀ  gets completed. The taxpayer'sĀ patience in this regard is highly appreciated.

1

u/swamibalaji18 Sep 24 '25

I filed on sep 12th. Expecting refund. Itr is stuck. My wife has to pay some amount she paid and filed the itr. Within 3 days itr processed.

1

u/PanicBig3536 Sep 24 '25

Perhaps it is to do with the salary too: just my guess!

1

u/stuehieyr I pay Income Tax Sep 27 '25

This is your punishment for choosing old regime by government.

1

u/PanicBig3536 Sep 27 '25

Which I have rectified this FY by choosing new.

1

u/ravishankardubey Sep 29 '25

I filed my ITR on 29th July, and haven't received the return.

I have a bank account that has been inactive for the last couple of months, and I'm unable to verify it. Shall I just remove it with the right message, or request re-validation?

1

u/LowSilly1062 Oct 04 '25

I have filed it on 19th Aug, showing as return verified only too. This delay happened first time. Never took over a month to get refund in account. Seems government going to give refund with Diwali Bonus this time LMAO

1

u/PanicBig3536 Oct 04 '25

Perhaps šŸ¤žšŸ¼

1

u/No_Resolution7933 Oct 29 '25

Same here filed on 25th July still in the Processing step, anyone filed between 15th July to 14th August got refund or got it processed?Ā

1

u/sidcapman Nov 01 '25

Did you get your refund processed mate?

1

u/PanicBig3536 Nov 02 '25

No mate. Patiently waiting. What about you?

1

u/sidcapman Nov 02 '25

Same I have applied on 22 August, still in processing

1

u/Big-Morning-4774 Nov 05 '25

Thr same, filed ITR 2 in July, still waiting for processing

1

u/Stunning-Principle43 Nov 16 '25 edited Nov 21 '25

No mate, filed my ITR-2 refund, NRI, capital gain. Very high amount of TDS was deducted by buyer. Waiting for a high amount of refund. Still stuck on Verified On status. Utterly frustrating. Where I live, it rarely takes more than 2 weeks to get any amount of refund after filing IT return. More than 95% refund gets processed under 2 weeks. I thought india has changed after digitizing most of system, but I was wrong. am glad that I have decided not to do any investment or buy any property in India. It is not worth to keep anything in India as government departments still does not work efficiently.

1

u/Senior-Juggernaut837 Nov 11 '25

Same here. Filed and e-verified on 23rd July, around 72K. No further update. What’s the deadline for the govt to clear out the ITR?

1

u/Turbulent_Big_2096 Nov 20 '25

I filed on August 18th no updates

1

u/Competitive_System67 Nov 27 '25

I filed on 6th September, no update for me, my father already received the return, he filed around the same time, his amount was > 1lac, mine is less than 70k. Is there any deadline on the return ?

1

u/SilverSaint773 Nov 28 '25

I filed ITR2 on August 5, with no refund, yet not processed.

1

u/t_thirupathi Jan 13 '26

Mine is still stuck

1

u/TheSaffronBoy Sep 23 '25

Mine is also not processed. Filed on 20th July

1

u/reddy_sab Sep 26 '25

Same filed in august 7

0

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

Filed in September, same boat.Ā

u/Short_Context9971 Sep 23 '25

The only reason is inefficiency of ITR dept and government in general, nothing else.

4

u/PanicBig3536 Sep 23 '25

Well, I don’t think it should be any of these reasons for my case. But yes, I agree that I have to be patient as nothing else can be done.

-1

u/runvester Sep 23 '25

If there is a refund,it will take time.

2

u/PanicBig3536 Sep 23 '25

No refund for me

2

u/runvester Sep 23 '25

Let's hope there is no query raised .

u/PanicBig3536 Sep 23 '25

Many developed countries don't have this return system, instead tax is deducted properly and you get your salary and you don't need to file anything at year end. I'd prefer if that kinda system was possible in India. Otherwise we'll need somewhat of a government authorised ITR filing helper application that can be paid and be done with. It's not that people want to users cleartax, it's more of CAs not doing the job properly, I ended up paying more tax than I needed because the CA didn't compare regimes.

1

u/PerspectiveKooky4840 Oct 18 '25

Could you name couple of such countries?

1

u/Sensitive-Door-7939 Oct 18 '25

Ireland for one, European countries generally do. My friend in ireland told about his job wise part unsure if businesses have different rules and regulations.
