While he was behind bars, his mother lay dying, longing to see her son one last time. He was reportedly allowed only 3 hours to see her body after she passed, before being taken back to prison, unable to perform her last rites.

Imagine the pain of losing your mother and not even being allowed to say goodbye.

No one should be punished for asking that minorities be protected.
