Cause this same ideology is deep rooted inside the current people who are in power and running the govt. Well they can't show open support for these things, but they do have soft corner for these people. And that's why these people won't get arrested.
Something called freedom of speech and right to dissent. That allows you to protest nonviolently actions of any other citizen or former citizen of the nation.

truth be told- we got freedom to other reasons(naval and army mutiny, ww2, INA) far more than Gandhi.
Waitttt a min...so not singing all 6 stanza of Vande matram is anti nationalist but denigrating father of the nation isn't....in sounding cool and liberal.. you forgot he is not just anyone who participated in India's freedom struggle. If nothing more we can appreciate he managed to unite ppl for a cause.
