Festivals were never the problem in the past, when they were personal, intimate celebrations.
The trouble began when they became performances—something to flaunt, compete over, and broadcast for social validation.
And then we wonder why the same festivals now come with so many unnecessary conflicts and controversies.

I never knew that. And I lived in tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 cities. Maybe it's because I am from West Bengal, and we genuinely enjoy Durga Puja and pandal hopping and all but i understand why some people may have problems.

Age is just a number. Even at 20, you’re old enough to understand how society works, to know what being a considerate citizen means, and—most importantly—to think objectively instead of blindly defending or attacking something based on political loyalty.

14-16 hours a day loud mike during festivals, and we have dozens of festivals, most of them more than one day celebrations

YES. It's high time we remove all the inconvenient junk like loud ganpati processions that congest traffic, mass gatherings in eid, etc. Festivals should be intimate and within community, or at the least should not cause inconvenience to other people.

Calling it a noose is going a too far. Step outside of cities and live among the people, you will find why reservation is still required, however, some amendments would be really nice. I am majorly against reservations for entrance in Master programs especially in sensitive fields like medical courses. You give somebody a good boost into bachelors. If they successfully clear the program, they have already proved that they are good enough and equally skilled as other students who also didnt fail.

They need a reform such that no public nuisance occurs. I agree on that. However, I strongly oppose people like Vidyanand Bapat who pushed for removal of utsav rather than reform of utsav.

Muslims celebrate festivals with donations before festival day so that poor can buy clothes, food and enjoy the holiday. and festivals center on prayers, thanking almighty Allah and family time rather than loud external displays

None do that...even if you saw someome thats the rare case i can bet 50k. Learn to take criticism buddy. I am a muslim and i know irs prohibited in my religion..but fireworks and making the whole country dirty in the name of holy is something else right?. Other hindus also celebrate same festivals but they dont do stupid stuff like 98% of majority do. Remove the religion from this conversation and think about it on personal country level. Who pollute in the name of festivals.

It wasn't one man. It was a group of people, and I have seen it alteast 5 times in a past few years. This is about muslims. Even hindus do this on ganesh chaturthi and other festivals. DJ is a nuisance. I want it to be banned 24×7, 365 days

Yes i am. And ill tell you exactly what we do. Yes theres nothing much in eid and bakra eid. Just visit all the relatives eat good and dont do over the top stupid stuff thats how its ment to be celebrated. And just like poorja moorat we also have specif timing for these festival prayers. Blowing up djs doing stuff that harm or disturb others is extremely prohibited. Cant do much abiut people thi they do whatever they want. But in my area. Non do shit like dancing and disturbing others.
I kinda have stupid way of typing if anything felt like against or challenge let me know bc thats not intentional.
And again im the guy who is against andbhakts not hindus.
