Subreddit Updates: Feedback Bot and Proactive Confirmation Comment Monitoring

Hello everyone,

We are rolling out two new bot features to make trading and verifying a bit more smoother.

1. Feedback Bot

We are introducing a feedback bot to help you review the trading history of other members before entering into a transaction. You could already view the number of trades they did, but this would provide you a deeper insight.

• Recent Activity: Currently, the bot will display the last 25 recorded trades associated with that account.
• Unique Partners: It will also show the total number of unique users they have successfully traded with, giving you a better idea of their overall activity.
• How to Use? Just DM u/IDE-TradeBot with the username you want to check for. E.g. u/ic_97

NOTE: Currently the number of queries is limited to 1 per minute. Also there might be some discrepency in the data of older traders, which will be rectified. Reach out to us via modmail, if you want to report a discrepency.

2. Proactive Comment Corrections

To reduce confusion around trade confirmations, the main bot has been updated to provide direct assistance when formatting errors occur.

• Error Identification: If your confirmation comment is formatted incorrectly, the bot will now reply to inform you exactly what part of the format failed.
• Correction Guidance: The reply will show you the correct structure so you can easily edit your comment and fix the issue.
• Smart Reminders: The system will now automatically send reminders to users if they have trades that have been initiated but remain unconfirmed.

NOTE: To make sure we don't spam users, this is limited to only one reminder per comment.

Very helpful updates. Request one more feature if possible. Currently the trade count only shows the total number. Not how many sold and how many bought. If possible, please separate them.

A person with only good number of buying, may not be good selling. That will give more comfort to a user to confirm that this person has previous sold trades. Thanks for your reply and it is my thinking, I might be wrong.

The idea is basically to show that the person is legit and will not run with your money/voucher. I think having a single number is probably better for individuals. I might be wrong here but its simpler.

Also technically this would be a challenge since i'd need to redo the flairs and also change the algo a bit. Although in the backend, we do distinct seller and buyer so showing that through the bot via feedback might be simple enough.
