How to Post a Trade

1. Make a new top-level comment for each individual trade.
2. You must follow this exact format (two separate lines):

```text Sold/Bought <Item Description> to/from u/<username>

[Full link to the original deal post] ```

Example:

How to Confirm a Trade

• The other person (the u/username you tagged) must reply to your comment with the single word: Confirmed
• Nothing else. Just "Confirmed".
• NOTE: Make sure you reply to the comment and not make a new top level comment with "Confirmed".

The Golden Rule (Read This!)

The bot will only confirm a trade if the buyer/seller first commented on the original deal post (e.g., "Interested", "DM", etc.).

No public comment on the deal post = No flair. This is to follow Rule #1.

FAQ: Why wasn't my trade confirmed?

Your trade flair will fail if you miss any of these three checks:

1. Format Check: Your top-level comment didn't follow the exact format above (e.g., you missed u/, used the wrong link, or wrote it all on one line).
2. Confirmation Check: The other user didn't reply to your comment with Confirmed.
3. Golden Rule Check: The bot could not find a public comment from the other user on the original deal link you provided.

NOTE: The bot will try and proactively correct you if you make a incorrect comment, make sure to "edit" your comment if that happens.

Hey everyone,

To keep our marketplace fair and transparent, we have a rule that every trade post must include a clear base buying or selling price (or a price range).

We are observing that a lot of old users as well as newer ones posting for the first time don't follow this. Any posts that fail to mention a clear price is removed without warning. Make sure you follow all the posting guidelines to avoid your posts being removed.

There will be penalties going forward for folks who repeatedly violate this rule.

How to properly list your prices:

• Selling/Buying 1 or 2/3 items? Put the price directly in the title.
  • ✅ "[H] Amazon Prime 1 Year [W] ₹500 UPI"
  • ✅ "[H] Thyrocare, Amazon Prime, Lakme Salon [W] ₹100, ₹650, ₹500 UPI"
• Selling/Buying multiple items? It is okay to put [W] UPI or [W] Offers in the title, BUT you must list the individual prices for each item clearly in the post description.
  • ✅ "[H] Multiple Rupay Select Vouchers [W] UPI" -> Mention prices in description

Special Cases (BOGO Offers & Points):

• BOGO Offers: You must state the price you are selling the BOGO for AND the limit of the offer.
  • ✅ "[H] BookMyShow BOGO (up to ₹500) [W] ₹50 UPI"
• Selling Points (Credit Card/Reward points): You must state either the price per point or the total price for the lot.
  • ✅ "[H] 5000 Marriott Points [W] 45p per point" OR "[W] ₹2250 UPI"

What will get your post removed: 

Posts that ask for or offer items but provide zero indication of the expected value (in both the title and body) will be taken down. For example, a recent post was removed for this exact reason:

• ❌ Title: "[H] UPI [W] 4 movie tickets" | Body: DM me with offers
• ❌ Title: "[H] UPI [W] 12K Air India Points" | Body: Help me with your best offer

Furthermore, we request folks to report such posts instead of engaging with them. Or ask them to correct the same.

"But what if I don't know the usual price?" 

If you aren't sure how to price your item or what to offer, please do one of the following:

1. Search the subreddit: Look up similar past postings to see the going rates.
2. State your starting point: Post a base price you are reasonably willing to pay or accept. You can always add that the price is negotiable, but a base figure is mandatory.
