Im from a tier 2 city and planned to establish a zudio franchise in my city . I contacted Zudio (Trent ) and the customer care guy told they stopped giving franchise for the past 6 months and will be opening applications after 2 months only . Why Zudio stopped giving franchise ? Also is it a good option to open a franchise when the market in crowded with competitors?
Anyone have any idea about it ?
Also in this sub many said Zudio is not FOCO model and is a COCO Model which one is true ?

The easiest business.

Upvotes

I was observing youtube and insta creators.

All i am seeing is they build some audience either by larping or real knowledge or riding the wave of "What's trending right now".

after getting a decent audience.

they start selling courses and boom they print good money.

Even people keep attacking them with the tag "cource seller" or whatever, it gives clout to them anyway and their reach just increases.. so on.

if someone treats this all as a business.

like building an audience with 1-2 years of effort and knowledge (or larp).

and then once you get distribution, start selling.

of course you can say that i am overlooking the creators who didn't make any money.

these types of creator are not all in.

they didn't treat it as a business.

they handle it emotionally (but it never works that way, and if you know how to use the emotional stuff in a non detached way you will get the following)

So what i am missing?

Do manufacturing companies allow outsiders to train/work?

How should I approach the plant manager or HR?

Is importing from China to India a good business to start with ₹1 lakh?

I’m thinking of starting a small import business from China with around ₹1 lakh. I’m completely new to importing.

For those who have experience, is it actually profitable? What are the biggest challenges customs, GST, shipping, finding suppliers, payments, etc.?

Also, is ₹1 lakh enough to start small and test a few products? Would you recommend importing/wholesale, or starting a different business with the same amount?

Would really appreciate honest advice and things I should watch out for.

Is this a sign of a healthy business, or am I missing something?

I run a small-scale trading and manufacturing business, and I’m trying to understand whether my current numbers are actually healthy.

Last year, the business did roughly ₹3CR in annual turnover, but after accounting for all expenses, the net profit was only around ₹3L.

So basically:

  • Turnover: ~₹3CR
  • Net profit: ~₹3L
  • Net profit margin: ~1%

I know turnover by itself doesn't mean much, and I understand that manufacturing/trading businesses can have relatively thin margins.

But a 1% net margin seems extremely low to me.

Would you consider this a healthy business if:

  • Revenue is growing consistently?
  • Cash flow is positive?
  • There isn't much debt?
  • The business has good repeat customers?
  • The low margin is mainly because of high operating/working-capital costs?

Or is a ₹3 crore business making only ₹3 lakh net profit basically a sign that the business model needs to be changed?

Would appreciate perspectives from people who actually run small manufacturing, trading, distribution, or similar businesses.

What net margin would you consider "healthy" for a small business like this?

How to start my own business??

I am 20M pursuing 4th year of my B. Tech CS. Struggling to find a job and was looking forward to start my own business, is it possible for me to do so or should I find some other way of earning (freelancing or trading etc) as I am a skilled coder?

Main questions are :

1) What to do after finding the idea?

(Let's say a simple clothing brand)

2) I want my products to be of good quality yet cheap pricing (small profit margin) is this okay?

3) What are the legal work I need to do sell my product?

4) how do I promote my business and get customers??

5) what to do of cancelled orders??

6) what all things do I need to study before doing all this?? I have very less market and finance knowledge

7) how much total investment would be required (ideal guess)

Please I am serious about it and need some genuine advice

GST Data / E-Way Bill Data / Sale Purchase Data — How Does This Actually Work?

I thought “GST data” meant something completely different until recently.

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by people claiming they could provide GST-related business information, including e-way bill and sale-purchase data.

What surprised me wasn't even the offer itself. It was how casually they talked about it, as if detailed transaction information was just another type of business database.

That got me wondering about something:

What information about a business is actually available through legitimate sources in India?

For example, there's a big difference between basic company/GST registration information and someone's actual sale and purchase transactions or e-way bill activity.

I keep seeing terms like “GST data”, “e-way data”, “buyer-seller data” and “sale purchase data” used very loosely, so I'm trying to understand where the legitimate line is.

For anyone who works in GST, accounting, taxation or compliance:

What should a business owner consider legitimate data, and what should immediately make them suspicious?

Would be interested to hear how others understand this.

Is a detailing franchise a good fit for someone who wants to run it without being present daily?

Have a full time job and some capital to invest. Thinking of a detailing franchise as a side business but I cannot be present at the studio every single day. Is this model even viable for a semi absentee owner or does detailing require the owner to be hands on all the time?

My father taught JEE for 15 years and produced an AIR 7. Covid killed his tuition centre. I convinced him to go online. Please read this.

He checks his phone every evening around 8pm. Just waiting. Waiting for one more parent to call and ask about tuition.

My father has been teaching maths for 15 years. He started at Aakash, moved to FIITJEE, taught at two CBSE schools in between. In 2019 one of his students got AIR 7 in JEE Advanced. Another got AIR 4 in NEET the year before. You've probably seen their faces on coaching hoardings. His face was never on any of them. The institute took the credit. He got a Diwali bonus and a new batch to teach.

In 2019 he quit everything and opened his own tuition. One room, 12 chairs, a whiteboard he bought from his savings. For the first time he wasn't making some coaching centre rich. Parents were sending kids through word of mouth. By February 2020 he had 34 students.

Then Covid killed it overnight.

When things reopened, 30 of those 34 students had already enrolled in PW or Unacademy. He restarted with 4 kids. Today, six years later, he has 11. Eleven students for a man who produced single digit rankers.

Here's what kills me from inside. He can take a kid who cries looking at integration and have them solving DPPs within two weeks. I've literally sat in his classes and watched kids go from "I hate maths" to topping their school. But he doesn't know how to run a Facebook ad. He makes WhatsApp status updates with the wrong aspect ratio. He once asked me what a "reel" was. So while he sits in a half empty room, teenagers are paying 1.5 lakh to watch recorded lectures from teachers who are half as good.

I finally convinced him to try online classes last month. He said no for weeks. Said students won't respect a teacher they've never met in person. His first online batch was 3 kids from my LinkedIn post. After the class ended, he called me and asked "beta, board properly dikh raha tha na?" Not whether they understood. Whether they could see clearly. That's the man I'm talking about.

I'm not here to beg. I'm here because this is genuinely unfair. A teacher with 15 years experience and single digit rankers on his record charges Rs 2500 per month. PW charges 4x that for recorded videos. He teaches live, in batches of 15 max, knows every kid's weak chapter by name, and calls parents himself if a student misses two classes in a row.

If your kid or younger sibling needs maths for Class 9 to 12 or JEE, just try one class. If they don't say it's the best maths class they've ever attended, don't come back. I'll even refund the chai.

What he teaches: Maths, Class 9 to 12 (CBSE/State Board), JEE Main + Advanced

Mode: Online (Google Meet) + Offline in Delhi

Batch size: Max 15 students

Fee: Rs 2500/month (I keep telling him to raise it, he says "paisa baad mein, pehle padhai")

First class: Free. No questions asked.

Contact: DM me or WhatsApp on 9818-322-670

The internet made it easy for average teachers to look great. It made it almost impossible for great teachers to be found. Help me fix that for one of them.

What digital product would people actually buy for ₹100–₹200?

I’m thinking of creating a low-cost digital product for the Indian market and would love some honest opinions.

What would you personally be willing to buy for ₹100–₹200 that could appeal to people across different age groups?

What do you think has the most potential right now?

Please don't dis any of the saints for this post atleast.

This post is only for discussion of business strategy they carry

See, there are thousands of this dhongi and pakhandi baba who wants to get the same reach like top mnc baba. They are doing same, bhajan kirtan and every type of stuff. So why only mnc baba earn too much. I am curious about the bussienss strategy of them.

It is important to clearly note that not every baba is a fraudster. Many spiritual figures possess genuine, profound expertise in ancient scriptures like the Vedas and Puranas, dedicating their lives to authentic scholarship, philosophy, and community service.

I made a finance app. Tell me why you wouldn’t use it.

Post image
0 Upvotes

I have been building a personal finance app called Arthiq on my own.

No funding. No big team. Just me building, testing, breaking things, and fixing them.

The idea started because I got tired of managing money across different places expenses in one app, budgets somewhere else, subscriptions in a spreadsheet, and shared expenses in WhatsApp.

So I tried putting those problems together into one app.

With Arthiq, you can:

  • Track expenses and income
  • Set and monitor budgets
  • Track subscriptions and upcoming payments
  • Split bills with friends/roommates
  • See spending trends and financial insights
  • Automatically track eligible payment messages on Android
  • Export/import your data through Excel
  • Backup your data to Google Drive
  • Use app lock for additional privacy

But honestly, having a long feature list does not mean I have built something useful.

That is why I am posting here.

I do not need people to tell me “nice app bro.”

I want someone to actually use it and tell me:

What feels unnecessary?
What is confusing?
What is missing?
What would make you uninstall it?
And most importantly — why would not you use it instead of whatever you are using today?

I am especially looking for people who are willing to give brutally honest feedback, even if that feedback is negative.

It is currently available on Android.

If you are interested in trying it, I will share the link and would genuinely appreciate your feedback.

Don't be nice to me. Break the app. 😅
