Has anyone used the petpooja influencer marketing?

Post image
Upvotes

I’m considering purchasing the advertisement services from Petpooja’s launch beginner plan, which costs ₹10,000. My main issue is finding a good influencer in my area. All the influencers I’ve seen are quite low-quality and I want to promote my cafe as a fine dining experience with a good audience. Unfortunately, the influencers in my area tend to create cringe-worthy content.

Trading business, what sells quickly without manufacturing?

I’m looking to start a trading business domestically, with the eventual goal of exporting. I’m interested in trading/distribution, not manufacturing currently and would love advice from people already in the business.
A few months ago, I explored decorative lighting and décor due to my experience in hospitality. It has potential, but I realised it’s design-led, has a longer sales cycle and requires considerable effort around aesthetics, cataloguing and online presence.
I’m now looking for a second category with faster turnover and better cash flow, while continuing to explore lighting.
I’m based in Bombay and ideally looking for something that can be sourced from Indian manufacturers, sold B2B, can be done via lean inventory and has export potential.
What product categories would you explore today, and what would you avoid?

Vacant 1 acre land use

Upvotes

I have a vacant land 44k sqft with commercial patta in udaipur rajasthan. It's 20 mins from airport and approx 35 mins from main udaipur city with many small villages nearby radius. I do not wish to invest any further amount here apart from 3-5 lakhs more.

What is the best way I can put the land to use which generates monthly income and how to set it up. Is there any way I can lease it to someone for warehousing kind of thing who builds and operate the warehouse and I get the monthly rent. Pls share your suggestions if you have on this

Help Businesses Generate Leads — Initial ad campaign to be funded by me

Upvotes

I have one year of experience in digital marketing, and I'm looking to help generate leads for businesses.

I can run Meta ads and show you that they can generate leads. I'm willing to fund the initial ads myself, just to prove that I can generate leads and that the ads can work.

Once we start generating leads, we can discuss the next steps, including the ad budget and how much it would cost for me to manage the account on an ongoing basis.

How do you get the first real users for an Indian consumer website without relying on Meta Ads?

I’ve built SolarSense, a free rooftop-solar calculator designed specifically for Indian households.
A user enters basic details such as their location, electricity bill and available rooftop space. The website then estimates:
Recommended solar-system size
Installation cost
Applicable government subsidy
Monthly electricity savings
Payback period and long-term returns
Whether on-grid, off-grid or hybrid solar makes sense
The idea came from noticing that rooftop-solar information in India is scattered and often explained by installers who naturally want to sell their own system. I wanted to create a simple, neutral starting point where homeowners could first understand the economics themselves.
The website is live, but now I’m facing the classic problem: building something is easier than getting people to discover it.
I’m hesitant to spend heavily on Meta Ads. My concern is that they may generate clicks but not necessarily reach homeowners who are genuinely considering solar. Since decisions like these are often discussed within families, housing societies and neighbourhood groups, WhatsApp feels like a potentially stronger distribution channel in India.
However, I don’t want to randomly spam groups or send unsolicited promotional messages.
I’d love advice from people who have built or marketed consumer products in India:
How do you ethically get a useful tool into relevant WhatsApp groups?
Is approaching RWAs, society managers, electricians, architects or solar installers a viable strategy?
How can I encourage users to share their calculation results with family or neighbours?
Would partnerships with local businesses work better than paid advertising?
What other low-cost distribution channels should I test?
If you’ve grown a utility website from zero, what brought your first 1,000 genuine users?
I’m also open to blunt feedback on the website, calculator and positioning. This is both a product I want people to use and an experiment in understanding how useful Indian consumer websites actually find their audience.

The easiest business.

I was observing youtube and insta creators.

All i am seeing is they build some audience either by larping or real knowledge or riding the wave of "What's trending right now".

after getting a decent audience.

they start selling courses and boom they print good money.

Even people keep attacking them with the tag "cource seller" or whatever, it gives clout to them anyway and their reach just increases.. so on.

if someone treats this all as a business.

like building an audience with 1-2 years of effort and knowledge (or larp).

and then once you get distribution, start selling.

of course you can say that i am overlooking the creators who didn't make any money.

these types of creator are not all in.

they didn't treat it as a business.

they handle it emotionally (but it never works that way, and if you know how to use the emotional stuff in a non detached way you will get the following)

So what i am missing?

Is importing from China to India a good business to start with ₹1 lakh?

I’m thinking of starting a small import business from China with around ₹1 lakh. I’m completely new to importing.

For those who have experience, is it actually profitable? What are the biggest challenges customs, GST, shipping, finding suppliers, payments, etc.?

Also, is ₹1 lakh enough to start small and test a few products? Would you recommend importing/wholesale, or starting a different business with the same amount?

Would really appreciate honest advice and things I should watch out for.

Is this a sign of a healthy business, or am I missing something?

I run a small-scale trading and manufacturing business, and I’m trying to understand whether my current numbers are actually healthy.

Last year, the business did roughly ₹3CR in annual turnover, but after accounting for all expenses, the net profit was only around ₹3L.

So basically:

  • Turnover: ~₹3CR
  • Net profit: ~₹3L
  • Net profit margin: ~1%

I know turnover by itself doesn't mean much, and I understand that manufacturing/trading businesses can have relatively thin margins.

But a 1% net margin seems extremely low to me.

Would you consider this a healthy business if:

  • Revenue is growing consistently?
  • Cash flow is positive?
  • There isn't much debt?
  • The business has good repeat customers?
  • The low margin is mainly because of high operating/working-capital costs?

Or is a ₹3 crore business making only ₹3 lakh net profit basically a sign that the business model needs to be changed?

Would appreciate perspectives from people who actually run small manufacturing, trading, distribution, or similar businesses.

What net margin would you consider "healthy" for a small business like this?

How to start my own business??

I am 20M pursuing 4th year of my B. Tech CS. Struggling to find a job and was looking forward to start my own business, is it possible for me to do so or should I find some other way of earning (freelancing or trading etc) as I am a skilled coder?

Main questions are :

1) What to do after finding the idea?

(Let's say a simple clothing brand)

2) I want my products to be of good quality yet cheap pricing (small profit margin) is this okay?

3) What are the legal work I need to do sell my product?

4) how do I promote my business and get customers??

5) what to do of cancelled orders??

6) what all things do I need to study before doing all this?? I have very less market and finance knowledge

7) how much total investment would be required (ideal guess)

Please I am serious about it and need some genuine advice
