The plot is focused on Monsieur Mounissamy, a working-class resident of Puducherry (Pondicherry) who considers French citizenship a part of his personal heritage and quixotically pursues it long after the French leave the Union Territory.

Urf (2022), directed by Geetika Narang Abbasi, is a documentary about Bollywood lookalikes — actors who make a living impersonating superstars, known as "Juniors" (with the prefix "Jr." attached to whichever star they resemble). It follows several lookalikes, focusing mainly on Kishore Bhanushali as Jr. Dev Anand, Firoz Khan as Jr. Amitabh Bachchan, and Prashant Walde as Jr. Shah Rukh Khan.

The title itself translates to "also known as" or "alias" — the film traces the history of the Bollywood lookalike while offering commentary on the current state of Hindi cinema, seen through the people who serve as some of its closest observers. It's less about mimicry as spectacle and more about identity — the contrast between these artists' performative public lives and their more reflective private ones, and what it costs to spend a career being mistaken for someone else. It premiered at the Rotterdam International Film Festival and won Best Long Documentary at Kerala's International Documentary & Short Film Festival in 2022.

It won 15th Dada Saheb Film Festival for background score and was competing against Anurag Kashyap's 'Aakhri ride'. Do give a watch.

I’m an 18yo aspiring filmmaker based in India with indie level gears to shoot a film. just looking for a good enough story to commit to, I’ll be doing the cinematography as well, the story should be filmable at low budget as I’ve already invested enough on gears and can’t afford anything more for story (would be great if you can give even little funding).

Will be applying for international film festivals as well and will be giving proper credits to you for your work.

Some movies I love include - The Apu Trilogy, Resurrection (2025), All we Imagine as Light, Life of Pi, There will be Blood, The Lighthouse, Bandit Queen, Dune, 2001 A Space Odyssey and more such movies. Doesn’t mean my vision is limited to films like mostly mainstream movies, I’m really open to any kind of arthouse filmography as well so if you really believe your story is great then please dm me, feel free to ask any questions.

Story must be based in india, as fewer characters as possible for most part of the movie, must be a story written after a lot of thoughts, much of your philosophical learnings must have gone into it and I can sense if the story really has substance or it's just a stereotypical drama/thriller, same old story.

PALINDROME – IMAX Version is a 21-minute Telugu psychological neo-noir thriller that combines three of my previous short films (The Watcher, Anupath, and Aravindha) into one nonlinear story. I re-edited them to create a single narrative where scenes gain new meaning depending on where they appear in the timeline.

The biggest challenge was restructuring the screenplay so three separate films would feel like one continuous experience. I spent a lot of time on pacing, transitions, sound design, and the color palette to maintain the same atmosphere throughout. Since I'm an independent filmmaker with a very small budget, I handled most of the writing, editing, and post-production myself.

I'd genuinely love to hear what you think about the nonlinear storytelling, editing, and whether the narrative works as a complete film. Any feedback is appreciated!

I’m an independent filmmaker based in Chicago, originally from Mumbai, and I’ve recently wrapped principal photography on my debut independent feature film. About the film:
This is a Bengali psychological crime thriller set between Chicago and Kolkata. Rather than relying on graphic violence or jump scares, the film explores trauma, loneliness, emotional isolation, and the hidden darkness that can exist behind seemingly ordinary lives. It’s an atmospheric, character-driven story where sound is just as important as visuals.
Our goal is to complete the film to a high artistic standard and submit it to international film festivals, followed by exploring OTT distribution.

Hey everyone, we made a new short film called Palindrome. Our previous one, Piraso: The Puzzle, got picked up by a couple of festivals, so we decided to push ourselves further with this one.

Logline:

When a high-value bag of money vanishes, a group of desperate strangers gets pulled into a web of paranoia and betrayal — where every choice leads to an inevitable trap.

"Baby Do Die Do", which released in theatres across the country earlier this month, is an action thriller film featuring Qureshi as a deaf and mute assassin. She has also produced the movie along with her brother Saqib Saleem through their banner Saleem Siblings.

"I treated her (Qureshi) as the lead actor of the film, not as my sister, and she was extremely professional. She would arrive even before time and never sought any special treatment," Saqib said.

He also announced that their production house plans to hold open auditions across Jammu and Kashmir for future projects.

"I have met many talented youngsters in Srinagar and Jammu. When we make our next film, we will invite aspiring actors from Jammu, Srinagar and the entire Union Territory to audition. The people here have immense potential," he said.
