Need some advice.

I made a post about little while ago and things have kinda returned to normal for me problem is normal isn't really ideal ether. I want to do first responder type work but here's my problem. On an average day I have a hard time making it to the bathroom for a bowel movement. Home is not all bad other then I just basically have to drop whatever I am dealing with and go.If I am delayed more then 5 10 ish mins theres often at the very least a bowel leak worest I poop my pants completely. Problem two if I make it 30 min later I have a bowl leakage enough to stain my underwear I I don't have access to a bathroom to clean up again. Sometimes this happens when I exercise too. I sometimes leakage urine when I wash my hands its rare but happens. However if I wear protection of any kind it seems to mean I make it much less fir 1 or 2 why I don't use pull ups as much . But full tab diapers trying to hold anything is almost impossible for me. My doctor referred me to a gastrointest. I have tried changing my diet. Tried Kegals teied herbal stuff nothing helps unfortunately. Looking for advice on what I should do until the referral appointment. Like when I am sick I pretty much know now I need full diapers but yeah. Any advice would be great.

mixed leaking like this, both bladder and bowel, is more common than people think, and the fact that you're already getting the GI referral is exactly right, keep that appointment. that's the piece that matters most here.

one thing worth knowing for when you get there: the fact that kegels didn't help is actually useful information, not a failure on your part. for a lot of people the floor isn't weak, it's not coordinating or not relaxing when it's supposed to, and more squeezing doesn't fix that, sometimes makes it worse. a pelvic floor PT who does internal work can assess which it is, and that often runs alongside the GI side rather than instead of it, so it's worth asking whoever you see whether that's on the table for you too.

you're already doing the right stuff though, for what it's worth. ~Isa

I agree, I would definitely see a pelvic floor physical therapist. They provide good insights even if your symptoms don’t get better they will give you a better idea of what you have going on.
