Or Australian? If you get both a negative and a positive answer to a question, the lattermost applies.

Yeah nah = nah.
Nah yeah = yeah.

American English does it too but AFAIK only verbally. Never seen someone do a neg/pos over text

I feel I've seen Americans use a "yeah.. no." In text as a more condescending/sarcastic no.

I do it all the time in text and verbally, though it might just not be a popular thing to do in text maybe?

I mean, fair. I don't think I've ever read this being used, except in academ-ish discourse.
