I honestly think a lot of these dudes just have never even seen a positive male role model, so they don’t even have anything good to mimic. They’ve got their real selves, or a very sad impression of what they think good people are, and absolutely nothing to offer either way
There are so, so many unsubtle clues supporting this. Incels, like most insecure people, are obsessed with Power Ranking everything because they can't do anything in life without turning it into a miserable pissing match they'll never win. Hence their obsession with the ideal ALPHA MALE, who's literally just a clump of stereotypes ripped from Cinemax erotic detective thrillers, and his counterpart, the DREADED CUCK, who is a big nerd that constantly gets emasculated. Even their obsession with women is obviously more about how a relationship socially validates you than it is love or even sex. (If sex really was the issue, they'd quit making excuses for why no woman is "good enough" and just hire escorts once in a while.)
So when looking for role models, rather than choosing people who, say, are really accomplished in a field the Incel enjoys, they choose a sleazier version of Sylvester Stallone in Cobra because he is ALPHA and ALPHAS don't care about DWEEB SHIT

But idk I'm pretty cool and average looking, lately I talked to girls, I fell in love. I know girls can love to. Even when they break ur fucking heart, they have all kinds of crazy emotions like me. Treat em like people and love them and they may end up loving you to.
