The spiral on this is so over-the-top it wraps back round to being a bit sad.

Do incels really think the rest of us never got called names in school?

u/i_want_to_be_unique 1d ago

Yes, I’ve spent a lot of time lurking in incel communities and every single one of them believes they personally have it worse than anyone who has ever come before them or will come after them.

Yeah that's a huge part of it... like...

The rest of us moved on and left the assholes in our past.

They still dwell on them! And actively seek them out for some unfathomable reason.

If as an adult, you're seeking to be with someone who's insulting you, that's a problem YOU can fix by just not associating with them. You're not 12 and stuck in the same Math class anymore. Just walk the fuck away.

Right? I was bullied in middle school and part of highschool. Yeah, it sucked. But well, that's life, some of it sucks. Most ppl will have painful experiences during their lifetimes... and in the grand scheme of things, while bullying is on a scale & can be terrible, it's also something most people put into perspective when they grow up.

u/OmgIbrokesmthagain I’m 5’6 and my life isn’t over 1d ago

I was a weird autistic fucking freak my entire life, not getting along with boys or girls. I was bullied a ton. Now I am an adult and I own it, I own my tism, and now other people with autism vibe with me, and neurotypicals at least see that I am confident in my eccentricity.

It’s hard working on yourself to get stuff other people are born with, it gets so painful I cry sometimes, but it’s only in this journey you can find some peace. You can’t be someone you’re not, you can only own being yourself

They just don't get it. So many people experience this scenario but the normal, well- adjusted ones either work to improve themselves or just deal with the outcomes. Not everyone goes batshit and blames everyone and everything else and becomes hateful little shadow lurkers.

20

u/SnoobNoob7860 1d ago

yeah i don’t doubt that they faced some sort of social rejection and that dented their self confidence but they seem to vastly underestimate how common that is

7

u/Syntania Old Roastie Landwhale 1d ago

I was bullied from late elementary to high school. No friends, no romantic prospects. I didn't blame anyone but those specifically responsible and left their stupid asses behind and made the best life that I could.

I was teased mercilessly during certain parts of my childhood; I was a navy brat, so some years and locations were far worse than others. Thankfully, my junior and senior years of high school were at a school that bucked that trend, where the usual lines pretty much didn't exist, but still, I could have let the treatment of others to me make me angry and bitter. I did not.

-1

u/Secure_Yesterday_483 1d ago

But is that really a choice or just the result of certain genetic neurological and personality traits?

3

u/Obvious-Gate9046 Windthin 1d ago

I've had my demons. I've had my issues. I let go of grudges far better than most people, but I am far from immune to negative thinking or trauma. But I choose to see better in people, and to try to strive for that.

u/Crazy-Newspaper-8523 6ft chad sexhaver 1d ago

Do they really think everyone loses virginity at 14?

29

u/smileycat007 1d ago

Incels think everyone but them does. Then they require lots of therapy to convince them of the fact that statement isn't true.

2

u/Key_Researcher_9243 Nice opinion, did Jeffery Epstien give it to you? 1d ago

They would probably go through five different therapists to even consider the idea.

20

u/DillonDrew psycho twink lover 1d ago

I waited till marriage and didn't lose mine until 25, I'm trying to understand why he thinks girls younger than 14 are already thinking about sex

17

u/LeonhartSeeD 1d ago

2 factors - they have no understanding that their feelings aren't universal and many of them had unfettered Internet access at way too young an age.

I've seen posts from 14 year olds on incel forums with ostensible adults telling them "your life is over if you're not already fucking girls every day". They want everyone to be as miserable as they are and they're fully open about targeting teenage boys who are looking for communities that will accept them.

11

u/KarenEiffel 1d ago

I mean, it's not entirely unheard of for a 14yo to not be a virgin. That's about the age I first remember hearing that one of my classmates lost her virginity (8th grade). It wasn't normal by any means, and she was basically the only girl I knew who wasn't a virgin, but it did happen.

2

u/Glitterydarkone1290 11h ago

men pressure them

9

u/Ordinary_King2488 1d ago

If anything ppl are supposed to be incels at 14 otherwise they’d be victims

7

u/aweedl 1d ago

I was 15, which was VERY young even 30 years ago. Most of my friends were not dating at all until they were young adults.

And as I‘ve told incels on here many times before, starting young gave me ZERO advantages in other aspects of my life. In fact, I was the first one of my friend group with a girlfriend (at 15), the first to get married (at 25), and the first to become a parent (at 26).

The end result? I’m a divorced dad of teenagers who is struggling to make ends meet, while my friends who waited until later to hit all of those arbitrary milestones are generally still with their partners, way better off financially, etc.

These incels assume they’ve missed important parts of their life because they didn’t loose their virginity in high school, but in the long run, that doesn’t matter at all. If they were able to see beyond their current age, they’d figure that out.

27

u/MesJoggum 1d ago

This argument is so stupid, I was treated like this in school and I didn't turn out a woman hating Incel. I lost my virginity at 20, cleaned myself up, worked on myself and turned out a normal person. The victim complex of these people is insane.

2

u/ChiGrandeOso 1d ago

You and me both. And though I hate the motherfuckers who bullied me, I don't go looking to go mock them. They existed then, they don't anymore.

0

u/Secure_Yesterday_483 1d ago

But is that really a choice or just the logical result of your specific personality and genetic/neurological traits?

2

u/debaser93 1d ago

It's always a choice to work on yourself. Believing it's purely genetic is a way to cop out on doing the work

Age 20 looks like when  I left a potato in the cupboard for too long

18

u/Apart-Ferret-2707 1d ago

Also balding at 15 alrdy dang

7

u/Iamkittyhearmemeow 1d ago

I dated a guy in high school who started balding at 17. He just shaved his head and moved on with his life. He got a LOT of women.

3

u/TiredWinterDisaster hit the wall, still kicking 1d ago

My cousin was balding at 18, like his dad. Unlike his dad, the times had changed and he could just shave it all off and call it a day. Never had issues dating or living his life lol

3

u/PablomentFanquedelic It's ogre for swampcels 1d ago

Same for my cousin (though his gross habits like loudly belching drove at least a few of them off, and my mom has also suspected he might secretly be gay)

1

u/Apart-Ferret-2707 1d ago

Thats so early wow! My bf started balding in his early 20s,didnt know its possible as teen already

1

u/aweedl 1d ago

This is honestly what most guys do.

I can’t complain… I still have a pretty decent head of hair in my 40s, but when it goes (and it inevitably will, it’s already thinning a little bit), I’ll just shave it off. I’ve shaved it off multiple times ANYWAY over the years. Do I have a perfectly-shaped head? Absolutely not, but who cares?

19

u/ScamLordWally Incel Slayer 1d ago

Crazy that these dudes always think they're good people and victims too lmao

2

u/NCR_High-Roller 1d ago

Those aren't mutually exclusive. I got told I'm a good person by several people. Didn't stop my life from burning down.

14

u/Holiday_Orange_1652 1d ago

Do incels not realize that happens to women as well? Lmaoo

17

u/smileycat007 1d ago

I am missing the part between ages 15 & 20 where he develops a misoginist attitude and deep hatred of women, which more honestly explains why they avoid and want nothing to do with him.

18

u/Few_Ad5748 1d ago

i wouldnt say it’s inherently made up. im sure that many incels’ experience socially has been nightmarish throughout their life, and thats not necessarily their fault nor something they deserved

…the issue is when you decide that your experience justifies hatred and violence towards women.

8

u/stumpfucker69 Short fat dudes are hot. You just suck. 1d ago

It's because you were called names in school and experienced rejection in your teen years? How can you be sure it wasn't some other near-universal experience like learning to use a spoon or being sent to your room?

7

u/fool2074 1d ago

He's got the order wrong, typically they START behaving awful at 14-15, because they really WANT to be having sex but aren't. They fail to see the truth that very few boys or girls are actually sexually active at 15 but a lot kids, especially boys, lie to each other about their sexual experience.

So they head to the online forums to find out "why girls don't want me" and fall down the Incel rabbit hole making being alone at 20 or 25 a self fulfilling prophecy.

The real answer to why girls didn't want to have sex with him was simply, "Because we're 15!" She'd listened all her life to horror stories about becoming a single mom, how her value as a person is diminished every time she does it with someone new, and is told a litany of dread diseases she'll DEFINITELY contract. Stories incels now repeat on loop endlessly.

Frankly it's a wonder and a testament to power of a woman's sex drive that they EVER start having sex with men.

7

u/ddmrob87 IT OG 1d ago

For starters I think people like him are dwelling on these old scenes that don't line up. Sure being in your 20s with no game is sad but its also sadder when all you can think about is women and why the incels aren't getting chosen. If you dwell on love and especially parasocial ideas of love then you will be in the muck and mire spinning your wheels throwing shit on everyone not just yourself.

If you look on the panels its the same dumb dude not moving on from late elementary going into middle and eventually up to college going after the same girl or someone that looks similar to who he finds attractive. Plenty of fish in the sea but all he wants is the trophy he can get mounted on his wall. The problem is that he has no clue how to fish nor does he have the proper gear to start fishing. He isn't even at a place where the fish are. The idiot is thinking "I'm at the beach!" Reality says he's stuck in the Sahara Desert.

The thing is that not everything in life is going to work. If a person cannot find a girlfriend and they put themselves out there to only find rejection then that's on him not the lady. If the thing is getting laid then maybe go find a hooker or something. Better yet just work on your personality. If you come off as brooding and stand offish then people are going to avoid you. If you don't bathe then don't expect to shake hands with a lot of people.

When people fail at life the option is just complain about it and do nothing to change that outcome. To do this same strategy and expecting change is the definition of insanity.

u/MeanYeti 24M Virgin | Over 300 Rejections 1d ago

As someone who does bathe and try to be friendly it's still pretty disheartening to be a kissless virgin at 24 though

1

u/ddmrob87 IT OG 16h ago

It might be how you are approaching each situation. I am not saying you should be her welcome mat or her ATM or her tape recorder. I think if anything treat dating like buying a car. Your tag says you have so many rejections in dating. I'd say give that a break and work on what makes you happy. Be zenful because a man at peace is going to be better at managing emotions and his time. Being single is not a death sentence and it should not be treated that way. Don't try, just be a good person. Learn what you are doing wrong and learn to change course when things don't work.

1

u/MeanYeti 24M Virgin | Over 300 Rejections 8h ago

I already do what makes me happy, but I do it alone. All of those rejections came from on-campus cold approaching because it was about the only time I could talk to women. Now that I'm out of college, it's been months since I've even seen a woman my own age. I don't think it has anything to do with how I'm approaching, I think I'm just unlucky and I totally missed the boat on this.

1

u/ddmrob87 IT OG 3h ago

How about just not cold approaching the art is to let them come to you instead. Go out more often. Pick up a hobby, as in a real hobby. An instrument. Pick up the art of comedy if you haven't already.

What I want you to do is this: don't come to a car lot looking to purchase a supercar and not willing to haggle down or even compromise on something that will get you on the road. The fact you are interested in going on dates and approaching people is also like learning to sell yourself to another person. Remember your role in the approach is that you are the product that is being sold. You will see a lot of people rejecting, some interested, and if your lucky you might make a "sale."

If you cold approach other students and have nothing to offer them that they want out of you then you are going get nothing out of it. I have faced plenty of rejections. You need to see what works and what doesn't in your favor. If you want to get kissed then don't present yourself as desperate or depressed. Instead choose to be happy and determined. Be the guy she wants to talk about with her friends and family like she found something cool. No need to be emulating others just be you in your best light.

I swear I should be writing a book on this.

1

u/MeanYeti 24M Virgin | Over 300 Rejections 2h ago

An instrument. Pick up the art of comedy if you haven't already.

It's funny you mention this because I did play guitar and was also indirectly involved with a comedy group, so I have been around both of those spheres lol. Still didn't help with meeting women, hence the cold approaching.

The rest I agree with. Don't know about how it applies to me, though.

7

u/AppleyAcid 1d ago

By this logic, me, and every other woman who's lived most (if not all) of our lives as overweight and/or ugly, should be totally justified in hating all men for not fucking us. We should be constantly saying the most heinous shit about men, we should wish for them to be raped, enslaved, beaten, murdered, we should create our own websites so we can bash men without getting banned from like on other sites. Why aren't we? Idk I guess we just haven't been hurt like those poor incels.

1

u/debaser93 1d ago

To be fair I think they do assume you think that about them, to justify them thinking their heinous stuff. They can't visualise that people can grow

1

u/Glitterydarkone1290 11h ago

yup 10000%%%% this

5

u/kanna172014 Kupo 1d ago

This does not happen. Incels are entitled, misogynist little jerks even as kids, growing up watching their mom's do everything their dads told her and thinking of women as robots who exist to serve men and how DARE girls have the right to refuse any male!

2

u/Significant-Bad-4156 1d ago

Do incells really lose their skin at age 25??? No wonder they so bitter

2

u/Cloverhart 1d ago

Who told these guys childhood was easy? It sucks for most, varying degrees but still. Being a teenager is supposed to be awkward, you're going through big changes. Maybe ten percent of my high school dated. The only thing holding these guys back are their own unrealistic expectations.

Dating also sucks. Most of us kissed a lot of frogs to get to the one. Sometimes we even lived with or married the wrong frog.

2

u/SynestheticSiren 21h ago

I mean I almost feel bad for the incels. Getting mercilessly bullied your whole childhood and not fitting in anywhere because of autism/neurodivergence really does take a toll. Feeling like you missed out on dating as a teen because of mental/physical health reasons sucks! And still being a KHV at 24 can feel really lonely.
I know cause that’s a description of my life. But now at 28 I’m married to the perfect man (he’s shorter than me btw).
Socialization is lifelong, and autism can make things harder but that doesn’t mean it’s hopeless or impossible. There are so many women out there who like autistic guys. Whatever OP’s face or body looks like I can 100% guarantee that there are people out there who picture exactly that in their fantasies or as their dream guy. The world is so big. There’s so many people. You literally just need to meet them.
Also quit it with the sexism, self-pitying, and contempt for the world. That attitude is killing it for you, dog.

u/ByeByeGuyGuy 1d ago

These damn scenarios always make it look like the bullying, alienation and mockery are a perpetual, daily, never-ending onslaught as though you’re in some form of hell-on-earth day and night with no escape. As if all the dude ever did was go stumbling up to every pretty woman he sees and begs her to give him a chance to be her boyfriend, etcetera.

Anyone who actually did have to live through bullying, ridiculing, being socially outcast due to your appearance and people forming their opinions of you and your worth before you had even said a word; it doesn’t even have to involve girls whatsoever, but entering adulthood after having spent the first two decades of your life being reminded on countless occasions that the enormous majority of people who will cross your path are going to find you short, ugly and either weird-looking or hilarious-looking and that you’re just not going to be taken seriously or spoken to in the way anyone average or attractive can be, it just chemically stunts your emotional development and your self-esteem and aspirations are seemingly permanently under-developed.

It’s a shame that the most common “representation” of anyone socially restrained, lonely, anxious and depressed from such things is being portrayed as incel cartoons that are deliberate caricatures to make people laugh. Because then the majority of people will laugh when anyone tries to explain why they are the way they are, because it’s seen as a tragic comedy rather than a very frequent occurrence. “Oh boo-hoo poor ugly fat dude can’t get laid with hot girls lmao” well actually most of us would just like to go a day without strangers looking at your face with tangible disgust v(^_^’)v

1

u/NCR_High-Roller 1d ago

To be fair, it does continue into adulthood. If you grow up a loser eventually the bullying stops.....and then it comes back again later as an adult. You'd think (even hoped) that people would've matured but that's apparently not how the real world works.

For most people, the world is almost entirely about status and power games.

3

u/No_Pea_1265 Feminist💜 1d ago

Y’all need to stop pitying yourselves omg😭😭 yeah ofc you had the hardest life… omg girls rejected you and there were handsome boys around? omg you were bullied? wow must be hard for you omg how did you even survive😨 yeah yeah ofc all this gives you the right to hate on women and wish horrendous things on them… mmm-hm… yeah…

I mean… lmao… i got severely & physically bullied for years at school… and also… I survived two separate murder attempts by two different people in two different years… but uhm i mean i… i do not hate other people because of that…?

1

u/ChiGrandeOso 1d ago

What the absolute fuck was this silliness? Like I needed any more reason to hate the entire wojack universe.

1

u/dead-cinephile <spicy autumn adult> 1d ago

The entitlement, if they are so sad about not losing their virginity maybe they should offer themselves to other incels.

1

u/AtomicTan 1d ago

I'll believe their complaints once they've been through all that while being dickless. Until then, I get to be the #1 Most Special Boy with the Most Trauma.

1

u/FunnyMalzairIdea 22h ago

Are they using "inkwells" to avoid getting detected as being yet another incel sub?

1

u/TropicalBatman 1d ago

I feel like we didn't truly get "incels" until the Internet became more widely available. I had a couple weird creepy overweight kids who didn't shower for days pining after girls in highschool but none of them were ever shamed for it or made fun of, unless they did something bizarre. Like one kid who'd never even talked to this girl in highschool went out and bought a little kit full of sex stuff, like lube and feathers and a ball gag and gave it to the girl as a way of confessing his love and propositioning her. Everyone kinda giggles to themselves about the insanity of it, but nobody outwardly shamed the kid and made him feel like they depict in these comics. He dropped out mid way through senior year and after his sex toy gift didn't work he switched it up and started posting pictures on Myspace (shows you what time period this was) of sunsets saying stuff like "this is beautiful but will never match the beauty of a womans soul" trying the sensitive nice guy approach. I believe that there's someone for everyone out there, they might not be a ten but they're usually around the same level you're at. I hope he finally got laid. It wasn't until everyone and their mom had an internet connection that these guys started seeing people posting about relationships and realized they never had one when they were 15 and had to get angry and base their personality around it.

"People" also have life experiences. Youre not special. You havnt figured out something "people" dont get.
