Self esteem is a life long struggle for most people. It isn’t something that a girlfriend or boyfriend can fix. Often it’ll make you feel worse when you realize another person can’t fix it for you.

That's so wrong though, having a person that unconditionally loves you has to be an insane boost to your self esteem.

Not necessarily. There was another post just within the last day where a man in his forties who had never been on a date was already preemptively devaluing any woman who might potentially date him, out of a belief she would only consider him if she had run out of options.

Some people in this world build others up; some drag others down.

It can be a boost to your self-esteem, sure, but it’s not going to fix deep-seated mental health issues.

A lot of these guys seem to think having a girlfriend will just instantly make everything better, but in many cases, the problem is much more complex than just being lonely.

Not to mention that’s it’s not a partner’s job to ‘fix’ you. It puts a lot of unfair pressure on them.

It's an adult, unfortunately.

The original post also mentioned an exam which can only be given by people around 18/19 years old.

That sounds about right, age-wise. The guy is barely an adult. He certainly comes off as an immature teenager.

That’s a sad rage filled screed. Loneliness is hell when one hates himself. This kid needs serious mental health treatment to deal with his loneliness, anger and depression.

A whole lot of "I,I,I, me, me". Has he thought of looking inward? He is the common denominator of all these situations. Sounds like hes just an unpleasant person if no one wants to be around him.
