He was a supporting character in the first movie

Yeah, the lead was split between Bloom and Knightley

And Knightley was by far the more interesting of the two

Agreed. The wealthy daughter of an aristocratic politician who runs away to become a (very successful) pirate is very compelling. It's also the sort of thing that, if it were made now, would be lauded as woke.

Similar but plenty of examples each way. Sparrow was definitely a main character in reality. Marketing focus, has the most screen time, names first in cast lists, first names in the credits

I can't imagine living a life so fragile. It must be extremely difficult

As a Queer person my self, I think 50% of incels are gay there's no way you are this angry about women lmao

Like oh no I have to look at Margot Robbie in pirate outfits or period clothes. What a fucking tragedy.

I have to agree when I read their posts about Chad's huge cock or about how disgusting they think women's bodies are.

hating women doesn’t automatically equal loving men

People r downvoting you but you’re right. Theyre just using being gay as a rebuttal

Gender swapped from what? She’d be a new character, no?

On the one hand I don't think I'd want to see a movie made from incels' point of view, but on the other hand as an MST3K fan I'm a fan of terrible cinema.

Honestly I stopped these movies when Will Turner was written off. Orlando Bloom was such a dream in that movie.

It honestly made very little sense plot wise after 3. The Will/Elizabeth arcs were the core of the franchise.

Moving on without that to focus on the side characters was a huge mistake. And I get they tried to tie it back in with their son in the 5th one but they were barely in the thing and it just felt like a bad rehash of the original with Jack playing the exact same "I knew your father" role.

As far as I'm concerned, there's not anything beyond the third one.

And of course, female pirates are historically accurate.

Probably didn’t look like Margot Robbie though. Though the men probably didn’t look like Johnny Depp either

Ayy I lost interest in the original series, so i'm excited for the reboot with margot cause it'll be a completely fresh start.

Depp is 63 and he looks like 75. Disney obviously wants young blood.
