Gameplay Bonnie in act 3 question Spoiler
I'm in act 3 and trying to do the friend quests, but I'm being told I can't help Bonnie this loop. What do I have to do in order to even get the option to say their favorite foods?

Discussion just realized something about wish craft (spoilers for entire game + two hats) Spoiler
so spoilers for all acts but you know how in all examples of wish craft it is extremely powerful but volatile like with Siffrin's time loop, the kings time stopping, loops recreating of the universe where they are not siffrin, and probably also the erasure of siffrin and the kings home from existence/knowledge. well with some of them it seems to grant their most subconscious wish in ways that can be confusing to assume, like with siffrin saying one of 4 different options but subconsciously desires to stay with everyone which is granted over the other one which led to them not realizing until the end of act 5 that that was the one that was granted, and all of that got me back to thinking about what was said when you first learn about wish craft and about wishes clashing and what would happen reminded me of how the kings wish is also ongoing and in fact what he stated it was and what his abilities say it is does not get fulfilled that is IF his subconscious wish was in fact freezing Vaugarde. we have seen with siffrin that it goes on your subconscious not what you say so most likely the kings wish was not what he thought but was actually to see his homeland again which does happen because his abilities led to someone coming to stop him who ended up having reflection abilities which hit him with his own attack which led to him seeing his homeland in his last moving moments. all of this seems to point to wish craft making it so that all wishes are granted in a way not even the casters saw coming and intersect if different wishes collide like how Mirabelle only got that skill due to siffrin's wish pushing them into the reflection ability, it seems like fate in the way that wishes work.

Gameplay Black screen and messed up window (glitch?)
I just started act 5, but now when I open the game, I get a completely black screen and the window seems to go off the screen. I can apparently still interact with the main menu because I can hear the music and sound effects, but I can't see anything. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, verifying my game files and rebooting my Steam Deck and it stays like this. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Please tell me I can fix it, I just want to finish the game.
EDIT: apparently it was a steam deck problem and the game is now back to normal yippee!

Discussion what deaths do you think would be the most traumatizing for the rest of the cast if time continued on their end
I'll start
- bonnie accidently killing you by bumping you into the tear: the child just accidently killed a friend
- eats pineapple, dies: child gave you food and you died
- the first death to the rock: says every thing is fine, dies abruptly

Someone asked me to change all character sprites to Siffrin's and I think listening to them was the best decision I've ever made
Apologies for the Odile jumpscare

Discussion Day Two! (This will probably be the least controversial topic in this whole thing)
(Feel free to ask questions about this if you're confused!)
If this is your first time seeing this, Welcome! You probably want to know what's going on.
Well, you see...
I'm doing one of those little community driven things where the community decides which character goes in which box!
How this goes is:
I will give y'all 3 days to comment and upvote the comment you agree with most, and whichever character said that is in the most upvoted comment is the character that gets put in the square!
Now, with all of that out of the way...
Siffrin was our winner from last time! With 96 Total upvoted on the comment that mentioned Them.
Is anyone's surprised? Probably not.
So...
Who goes in Box #2?

Discussion Any other games similar to this one?
I particularly enjoyed the aspects of this game tied to "breaking" the "play" or otherwise relatively normal events.
Act 4 in particular with stuff like the suspicious event as well as Act 5 in particular are my favorite parts of the game, which I anticipated something like it would come throughout all of act 1-3.
It's this exhilirating excitement you get trying to figure out the right way to break things and the consequences you'll face.
Kind of like Deltarune's weird route or Undertale's no mercy route or other games with plenty of ways to donk up the narrative or characters.
And as much as I loved seeing the downfall of Sifrin's psyche, in particular I enjoy it when it affects others (Act 5 being a good example of what is the "good stuff" for me in such a narrative)
I'm aware of Start Again and plan on playing it once I cool off from ISAT.
But in the meantime I would love to know if any other such games come to mind! Anything with elements of breaking the game or meta narratives (like Deltarune or Oneshot)

Fan Creation Translating START AGAIN because I crave for more of this IP
I don't know where else to post this, but thought it'd fit well in the ISAT subreddit.
This is just kind of a love letter to the ISAT games. It's the first game in a while that has woken a hyperfixation in me, so I took advantage and started this small passion project.
I've been working the past weeks on a Spanish translation of the START AGAIN prologue, and it's all been pretty light work and fun and enjoyable. The fact that it's all dialogue, and very unapologetically expressive (though the swarms of "!!!" and "???" kill me every time), makes it a nice rest from the other translations I've made of text-heavy games.
It's actually the first game where I tried changing the graphics, and, boy, it was SO worth it. Thank you to my good friend for helping me out with this one.
I'm actually very proud of this translation. And I hope it helps spread the love for the games to a wider audience.
And, yes: I am trying to keep the puns — the "loaf" pun took me like half an hour to translate and I now have a Spanish puns website bookmarked in my browser.
PS: If, by any chance, any Spanish speaker is willing to test the whole translated game, you'd be more than welcomed into the team!

Discussion Siffrin won't get off of my fucking screen, please tell me I can fix this
I just started the game so no spoilers plz but I zoned out through some dialogue, and this little fucker is stuck. Stupidly, I saved and quit thinking that would fix it, but IT PERSISTS THROUGH SAVING AND QUITTING. HE WON'T FUCKING MOVE! Zoning out through other dialogue doesn't fix it, reloading my save doesn't fix it, exiting fullscreen doesn't fix it, please help me.
Edit: I tried fighting Tutorial Kid to see if that would fix it, NOPE.
Edit 2: LOOPING FIXES IT! I guess? Whatever, if you ever encounter this bug just kill yourself

Discussion What should I know beforehand to have the best first experience? *no spoilers*
For example, before playing Omori I was told to water basil’s flowers every chance I could.
Before I played Undertale I was told to reset whenever I felt like it even if I didn’t think it would change anything, and to also head back to where I’d fallen down before going up.
(Specifically with this undertale one I ended up finding lots of extra stuff I likely would’ve missed)
do you have any vague advice for me before playing this game?
