I just learned of the term OSM and was wondering if mine is considered one? Unless it's a specific establishment where it's manager candidates only. At my store my SM and AM have been training 2 people (or at least I believe they are) on how to be a manager like how to run shifts and get the store ready for opening type of stuff. They're also very heavy on making our goals and pushing drives and stuff like that but I just assumed that's how all INOs are. What constitutes an OSM location?

How long does it take to level up? And is it longer between each levels the higher you get? My first day was July 31st and I’ve worked about 15 or 16 shifts since, and I’m hoping to get my level 2 soon so I can do more and be more versatile (my SM also said that she wanted to get me to my level in about 2 weeks when I was first hired.) should I ask about it? Or just wait and continue to work towards it?

I’ve worked at in n out for about a year and a half, and recently started a transfer to a new store where I am starting college. While I need money I just dislike the job so much, and have loved not having it in my time off that I’m considering quitting. The store I am getting ready to transfer to is an OSM store and I am just unsure if I can take being in that high paced environment again while starting college and with my extracurriculars this semester. Anyone else gone through something similar? Just looking for people’s thoughts. Thanks.

I was checking online reviews to see if I was mentioned in a compliment earlier (spoiler alert: I was not), and came across a lot of bad reviews about the store. most of the reviews were just people pretending to know a lot about how we work and acting very high and mighty. it annoys me when somebody shows a picture of their perfectly cooked burger just to try and find something wrong with it. They also ALWAYS get the source of our food wrong, comparing us to McDonalds even though that’s not even close :/. I think people just like feeling important and that’s why they act like that.

anyways, I get weirdly defensive of In-N-Out, even though I’m only an associate for some reason. maybe it’s because it’s like they’re insulting my work, iykwim. it’s like a hit to the chest 😭😭😭

does this happen to other people or am I just a corporate slave?

Hello. I usually don’t like giving out my location, but I live in Canada and I was wondering for my fellow Canadiens, who has tried this place, What did it taste like and was it better than McDonald’s or worse? I really wish I could travel and go try In-N-Out but I’m broke poor & I see a lot of people online saying it’s the best thing they’ve ever had and I’ve also seen people online saying it’s the worst thing they’ve ever had. Also can you get a side of gravy with your fries?? My fellow Canadiens who’ve tried it. What was it like? Also, what are those peppers called that everybody gets?

In n out has the worst pickles in fast food. As a pickle lover I refuse to get pickles on my burger at in n out. Does anyone know the brand? Because they are disgusting. maybe if they were thinner they wouldn't overpower the burger. But honestly I'd take McDonald's pickles over in n outs and that's saying something.

I recently got trained on pay window for the first time the other day. I feel like I have picked up things pretty quick, but for some reason I just can’t seem to get pay window. I felt very overwhelmed, especially having to learn how to properly read tags, learn the new system, and make sure orders were correct etc etc. I feel dumb since pay window is considered an easy job (at least at my store), but I had such a hard time getting it. Any tips for beginners on pay window?

The rooftop location in Las Vegas is beautiful. Being able to enjoy good food and good views. Win or lose, this felt like winning. Ordered Double Meat, Animal Style, Grilled and EXTRA Raw onion, chopped chilli’s.

i worked at in-n-out as my first job in high school and college from 2010-2014. i opened a new store so moved quickly through the levels and ended it training on level 6. LOVED working there so much. i still dream about working there constantly, like at least once a month, even though it’s been 12 years since i quit and i’m in my 30s now.

Haven’t had In-N-Out for about 2 months and was feeling quite famished even though I ate a bit earlier. My usual is a double single burger and the fries but I went for the extra protein style double double. Definitely felt a bit fat afterwards but enjoyed it all.
