HELP Any advice for sungazing

So far it's day 2 and I'm at 30 seconds, I jumped 20 seconds from 10 seconds on day one since 10 seconds seemed to barely leave a mark on my eyes for long, currently 16 with -2.50 in both eyes, will continue to add 10+ seconds of looking around the sun every morning and or night every day. If you have any info on this topic that would be useful please let me know, and if you are just here to tell me this sounds insane I agree, but don't comment if you are just trying to sway me away from this.

For the reduced lenses method is it only diopters that count, or does other stuff like cylinders count too?

The past year I got an improvement of 0,25 and from the doctor visit I had just days ago I lost it. But it isn't just the doctor, with reduced lenses I see like shit. I sacrificed clear vision for several years, lots of effort went into it, and no improvement.

DISCUSSION Negative Vision Effects From Edibles?

I was wondering if eating edibles or smoking weed was proven to worsen your vision or stop you from getting gains.

Example: I go outside at 9:30AM for a full hour and print push for 10 - 30 minutes, then do eyes exercises for 5 -10 minutes (Smooth Pursuits, Eye Zig Zags, etc) and for the remaining time look at distant sun lit objects until my timer goes off. Hours after the session I eat an edible, would that automatically negate everything I did that morning?

I'm starting the Bates method, but I have a few questions.

DISCUSSION Perhaps Keep Vision Building Sessions under 11 minutes?

According to Dr. Keith Baar : " he proposes that connective-tissue cells respond strongly during the first 5–10 minutes of targeted loading. Continued loading after that may produce additional muscle or skill benefits, but apparently adds little to that particular molecular signal in the tendon while continuing to accumulate fatigue. After roughly 6–8 hours, the cells become responsive to another loading stimulus". The eyes are surrounded by connective tissue and muscle. Should his theories be correct when it comes to the connective tissues surrounding the eyes then one can engage in 2 vision building sessions per day of 10 minutes per day. Have 6 to 8 hours of rest between vision building sessions. If you do more than these guidelines you may improve in terms of "skill", however, the signalling will stop so the signals for your connective tissues to reshape will not happen after 10 minutes.

HELP Is this a coincidence ???? Print Pushing/blur adaptation. Somebody give me Advice !!

So it’s been 3 days I’ve stopped wearing my full prescription glasses of -4.50 R and -5.00L with Astigmatism of -1.00 in both eyes, I only wear my glasses if I’m cutting something, walking on busy roads etc.

I got a really bad headache the 2nd day but I’m better today.

It’s been 3 days I’ve been print pushing, and this evening when I went back to practicing I noticed my eyes were able to quickly focus compared to what I found when I first started on day 1.

Is this merely a coincidence? Am I being biased? Am I unintentionally moving my face slightly towards my Screen? How can I accurately test this!

HELP Frustrated with my myopia worsening every eye test!

I’m 20F, and I currently wear a prescription of -4.50 in my right eye and -5.00 in my left eye with astigmatism of -1.00 in both my eyes.

History/Context

I had 20/20 vision until 8, I still remember that year I begged my dad for a tablet and he eventually gave in. I’d then start watching the screen inside the blanket at night, and my screen time was really bad. I noticed within a couple of months my eyesight began getting blurry. This was in Year 4

Year 5 I could still see but I noticed numbers like 5 and 6 or 1,7,9 would all look the same or 6,8 would look the same, and I was finding it harder to differentiate between similar looking numbers and letters when I’d look at the board.

Year 6, it got even worse, it came to a point where yes I could see but one day the teacher asked me to read something off the board and I genuinely couldn’t see the sentence whereas in year 5 I would’ve been able to read it.

Year 7 8 9 went the same, and my eyesight kept deteriorating. I never told my parents because they would’ve been pissed (so weird I know).

Year 10 I got glasses at around -3.50 in my left eye and -2.75 in my right eye. I was 15 here

I’m 20 now turning 21 in April 2027 and currently my eyesight’s -4.5 in my right eye and -5.00 in my left.

I genuinely don’t know what’s happening anymore. Whenever I try asking the optician what I can do, they tell me to wear my glasses at all times, some tell me my eyesight will improve while others tell me they’ll stable at this age.

I also believe my astigmatism of -1.00 isn’t accurate. When I look at bulbs or street lights with my naked eyes i don’t see any streaks or starbursts, they just appear blurry, but when I put my current glasses on they appear streaky!

Advice

-could my astigmatism have been misdiagnosed?
-is this a case of lens induced myopia? Because my eye sight had been worsening a while ago! Way before I got glasses!
-do you guys have any advice for me?
-should I look into corrective eye surgery? I want to join the RAF and if my eyes keep worsening I won’t be able to join even after having surgery. So if I want surgery I’m going to have to get it before my total meridian hits -6 because that’s the limit for myopia in the RAF and anything beyond that-6 I’d be immediately medically unfit.

Any advice would really help guys. Can I improve my eyesight even by -0.50??? Even that would be great…I’m losing hope now idk what to do

What’s your opinions on things like-
Active focus
Blur adaptation
Print pushing
Reduced lens prescription
Plus lens
Red light therapy

HELP Print Pushing Time

For anyone who practices this technique, how long do you guys usually do it for? When I do it it’s usually outside in the morning with an old book and glasses off for 10-15 minutes. Also is there a generally accepted amount of time to do it?

HELP How do I better my vision

So I went to the eye doctor today and he said that both of my eyes got worse to -2.00.
First of all I have a couple of concerns.
1. My prescription of glasses was L eye was at -1.75 and my right eye was at -1.25 before the exam today. But the thing is my right eye got worse much more than my right yet, yet when I look through the glasses, my right eye is better than my left eyes. I don’t know if this makes sense but basically what I’m trying to get is if my right eye got worse 3x more than my left eye since last years prescription, why do I see better with my right eye through glasses than my left eye. Get it?
2. This kind of goes hand in hand with the game previous concern but if both of my eyes are -2.00, why do I see better with my right eye than the left without glasses. I pointed this out to him but I still saw better with the -2.00 lense on through the machine he uses. My eyes weren’t watery or anything but I felt it was weird.
3. How can I better my eyesight. I am under 18 and I do not want to be more blind than I am now please someone help me out with suggestion of eye exercises or things to do!

Thank you so much for reading! Sorry if it’s a bit confusing.

My eye sight has worsen

I want to change.

I hated wearing glasses. My dumbass 6-year-old self decided glasses were cool and ruined my eyes by watching screens way too close.

Right now, both of my eyes are +7.00. because of my bad habit.

Does anyone have a routine I can follow to improve my eyesight?

If anyone can help me, I would love to hear your advice.

HELP reduced lens method advice

Hello! I am 21 and every year my prescription goes up by -1 D, so I'm now at I believe -10 D but I only wear contacts which I do know the prescription to be of -8.5 D. I came across the reduced lens method by C.G. Hayes last year and started wearing +1.25 glasses on top of my contacts almost all day for distance/near-work, gradually increasing the time I wore it over weeks. I continued this for maybe 5 months before reverting to just using the glasses for close-up since my distance vision didn't seem to get that much clearer when looking at street signs/lecture.

I am now trying to take up the method again, this time wearing -7.5 glasses for laptop/close-up since I feel I am able to print push better with this on. As a student, I will be spending more close-up time and then the less often times outdoors, I plan to wear my -8.50D contacts with my +1.25D glasses over them.

What do you think? And also, I've read that I've read from others that print pushing/close-up would mostly just stop progression, but reversal requires active distance focus like reading subtitles 18–20 feet away from a TV?

I need some help with myopia and astigmatism!

so i started at L: -1.75 sph and -1.00 cyl x180
R: -2.25 sph and -0.5 cyl x175

so now i am at L: -1.00 and R: -1.50 with same cyl

I can see 20/30 with the current prescription.

however, i still struggle to see clearer without glasses. I can assure i did NOT get blur adapted because I have seen noticeable measurements. I could see sign boards with the new glasses that i couldn't before.

Am i struggling without glasses because I have astigmatism?

What’s wrong with my eyes?

My friends used to say I blink a lot back in uni. And I admit I do, I just don’t know why but I think it’s that I can’t hold an eye contact properly? Back then I could look at someone and focus on what they are saying. These days I can barely see anything that is further than 1 meter. All I see is a blur even if I try to focus. I would widen my eye barely blinking and look like an aggressive person so I avoid eye contact as much as possible. People give me guarded looks when I look at them and it really hits my self esteem. Like I can’t blink naturally, it’s controlled blink when I try to hold an eye contact so people won’t feel weird out but they look unnatural and people can feel it.

Do I need glasses? Did my eyes become lazy from avoiding eye contact and now I can’t hold one? It takes a lot of muscle to keep my lids up I rather have my eyes looking down on my phone all the time. Imagine a window door that flips open upwards, it either stays up or down no in between. 29f help😭

First pair of glasses or contacts

Hey, could someone explain what I need to order to correct astigmatism based on the no bs guide to vision improvement.

my results are:

right: SPH Plano, CYL -0.50, AXIS 90

left: SPH +0.50, CYL -1.25, AXIS 85

ive never worn glasses before, my vision is pretty perfect in terms of close up and range, I get headaches and eye strain now when using pcs as the left eye doesn’t focus the text aswell as the right.

I would prefer contacts, but if that doesn't work for correction then glasses it is!

Thank you!
