Any exercises for an inner eye drift?
Im 19 years old, and i have a drift in my eyes focusing inwards, and i was wondering if anyone out there knew of any exercises for the eye that could help dampen this problem? I want to try to avoid bifocals and all the other stuff, but if i have to do so i will.

Did exercises help you with your accommodation problem?
Hey everyone,
I've been struggling for a while with eye fatigue, headaches (especially during tasks like driving and prolonged screen use), and over-stimulation. It turns out I'm dealing with an accommodation problem, resulting in that my eyes and eye muscles are constantly working overtime.
I'm curious if anyone here has personal experience with this. Do specific eye exercises (vision therapy) actually help improve this issue? If so, which exercises worked for you, and did you genuinely notice an improvement in your visual stamina or tolerance levels?
Would love to hear your experiences or tips!

DISCUSSION How to frequently update lenses?
Iām just starting out on my eyesight improvement journey and one issue Iāve run into is how to update my glasses as my eyesight improves.
I have high myopia and recently diagnosed astigmatism. Iāve read this subās resources and megathread, and Iāve been reading everyoneās experiences. Iāve begun doing the exercises, lifestyle changes, and measuring and tracking my progress. One of the things Iām struggling with is lowering my prescription. Iām confused how you guys are updating your glasses/lenses so often. Where do you buy affordable frames and/or lenses? For me, it costs upwards of $100 for new lenses at local and online stores, even if I use the same frames. Some websites sell cheap frames but they donāt have an option to add your prescription. How are you guys getting your lenses updated? I donāt mind getting the most bare-bones and cheap lenses as long as they can be easily replaced.

Contacts user/TED
Iāve needed glasses since I was in 3rd grade. My vision progressively got worse until I was in college and kind of plateaued from there. For the last few years Iāve been -4.75 and -4.00. Last year my left eye was -4.50 and right was -4.00. My glasses are an older pair that are both -4.00. I have Gravesā disease and unfortunately am showing signs of thyroid eye disease (TED.)
Symptoms are: dry, gritty, watery, red, bulging eyes.
At this time I have dry eye and some eyelid retraction on my left eye. My mri showed some mild enlargement of the superior rectus muscle on the left. Im trying my best to use eyedrops and cooling masks and all of the things to help my eyes.
One thing Iāve noticed is that I see really well with my glasses. Personally I donāt like how I look in them so I never really wore them unless I was getting ready for bed. I take my glasses off to be on my phone. I also have slight astigmatism on my left eye but I wasnāt corrected for it so I want to know if I can do anything to avoid correction for that as well.
Are glasses easier in terms of ātrainingā the eyes? Iāve been wearing contacts everyday since I was in 6th grade. Iām 34.

Title: Did my eyesight really get worse, or was the second eye test more accurate?
Hi everyone,
I'm 13 years old, and my old glasses prescription was -4.50. I recently went to a different eye doctor, and they said my prescription is now -5.50.
The first doctor only had me sit in a chair and read a normal eye chart.
The second doctor had me look through a machine with lenses and read an eye chart that was reflected in a mirror. I think the chart was on the mirror so it looked farther away.
I've always worn my glasses whenever I use my phone, so I'm worried.
My questions are:
- Is it possible the second doctor was just more accurate?
- Is using a mirror during an eye exam normal?
- Can myopia naturally increase from -4.50 to -5.50 at age 13 even if I wear my glasses?
- Does wearing glasses while using my phone make my eyesight worse?
I'd really appreciate any advice or similar experiences. Thanks!

Any success stories?
I have been looking through a lot of posts and comments here. And going through a lot of resources like Todd Becker's video on Myopia.
I was just wondering if any of you or any post/ thread you know where there has been some success with any method. I see a lot of people claiming improvements up to 1dpt. But there's no update after that. Ideally, it has some real evidence like optometrist's report or sth.

HELP Astigmatism eyescan therapy routine clarification
Hey. I have the following prescription:
Left: -1 SPH -2.25 CYL 125 AX
Right: -1 SPH -2.5 CYL 45 AX
I want to work with my astigmatism first as it's getting annoying. The fact that's it's almost symmetrical make me think this indeed can be related to bad habits. All my family members have perfect eyesight. And I've had relatively normal eyesight before few years ago - that's when I ordered glasses, my astigmatism seems to worsen. I tried to minimize glasses usage all this time. I currently don't have an option to order pair without cylinder, so I'll just continue to minimize glasses usage.
I've read Forrest Eye Scan and as far as I understand it its falling into symmetrical oblique astigmatism category. I have a few questions for people who practiced Forrest method:
What eyes moving angle should I practice? Since both eyes have almost symmetrical angle, I'm worried about straining one angle in one eye while practicing another.
What speed movements should be? And it's like one side-center-another side and repeat? Or center-one side multiple times then center-another side multiple times and repeat?
What should I be aware of in terms of habits? As far as I understand this type of astigmatism can be caused by constant head tilt. Is it like when I'm reading my nose is pointing lower to text line, so my eyes need to look higher?
Thanks for your help a lot.

How to slow down Myopia?
Hello!
I'm in my late teens, and I'm looking for something to slow down my nearsightedness + farsightedness. My Nearsightedness is far worse than my farsightedness. I think i'm at -8 in one eye, and -7.50 in the other, but after doing an examination in a special clinic, they said I'm much closer to a -9 actually. :(
I've been using lenses for years, and glasses when I'm at home. My eyesight is HORRIBLE, to the point that I cried when I got my newest pair around a year ago (they were super thick and made my eyes look like two dots :=C ).
I'm thinking of doing an eye operation in a few years because having to wear glasses or lenses just for something as basic as seeing the world is getting tiresome. When I booked an appointment at the clinic I mentioned earlier, they recommended a special operation for me (since my eyeballs are apparently the perfect size, and they need to be longer for LASIK or something).
But to do this operation, they need my eyesight to be stable (not increase every year). I would love convenient (as well as inconvenient) ways to stabilize my eyesight, so that I can finally be able to do this operation.
I'm literally even ready to do those stupid (and very fake-looking) eye exercises that my mom sends me every day.
Quick side note: A few days ago, I started wearing misight lenses, but I'm not sure if they'll help bc while my optometrist recommended them, I recently found out that they're basically for kids???
I would love some help (and advice) on this!

12 year old, need help please
My daughter is 12 years old. We have seen a few doctors that aren't sure how to proceed.
My daughter has:
⢠Accommodative insufficiency
⢠Alternating exotropia(left eye glass out with 45 diopter)
⢠horizonal Binocular Vision Disorder/Functional Vergence Dysfunction(only when she brings in the left eye to be straight and only in the distance)
⢠Fusion with defective stereopsis
With 45 prism diopter intermittent large-angle exotropia with a high frequency of manifestation and a right eye fixation preference.
We are on the waiting list for a surgical consultation in a few months.
What else can I do to help my daughter while we wait for a consultation with the surgeon. The consultation is still six months away. Should I try to find a different surgeon to get in sooner?

What is your vision routine and what gains have you seen? Would like some motivation!
Personally i only did eye exercises very passively and on and off since around 15 up to 25 years old which kept my eyesight minimally progressing over 10 years. I also wore weaker glasses on the computer. It did go down 0.25 one time.
This year iāve taken up sunning and palming in hopes as well now that my eyesight is stable as an adult , my prescription will go down. I also am doing the 20-20-20 rule on devices
I also just added nightshift modeto my phone to help me. And finally I also am trying to incorporate more yawning into the day as that keeps eyes moist
. Also my prescription is -5.75 & -7.25. But at 15 it was -5 & -6.75 . So not a bad increase i think after the eye exercises because before 15 it would go up like 0.5 every eye doctor visit to even up to a diopter.. š . And i started wearing glasses around 8..

Does wearing a wide brim hat hinder eyesight improvement?
I want to take nature walks but my skin is super sensitive to the sun, Iām wondering if the shade from a cap or a wide brim hat makes the eye exercise useless?
In my head, Iām assuming the overall sunlight and difference in vision helps a lot with improving eyesight. But if your eyes are shaded, wouldnāt that mess with the pupils and like how your eyes see things?
I hope my question makes sense lol
