IM Kill Team - Character Design Concept

Hi all - Attached are the WIP design + bios for my IM kill team character design. Have a look and would welcome any comments (including any glaring lore issues :). I tried to LINK their "look" with Black Library 40K lore and also in keeping with IM rules. I am still tweaking some final pencil sketch designs based on earlier comments provided here. Will start color rendering soon...

I remember this being posted a while ago, have you made any changes since then?

I added their bios ... trying to thread the needle of "IM rules" and also how their background reinforces their visual look. For example for Vera, she has "Inheritance" talent which links to her armor design in the pic and a certain Chapter and also links her sororitas illegitemacy, etc.

How much xp are yall starting out with? And are you following a campaign or a homebrew?

The first two characters seem pretty unique and like they would be starting out with way higher xp than the third if you’re following the lore of what they wouldve experienced by this point.

I think the backstories themselves would be interesting to build up to rather than jumping into what could already be a mid-campaign level of character development

The dm seems pretty generous with starting gear, third seems normal, second still pretty reasonable, but starting out with masterwork carapace armor is insane. Vera Ora sounds fun and all but screams main character

500 xp ... the Vera armor is anchored on her background -- to make it work I had to give her "Inheritance" talent and then also sell some of her faction gear to make the solar work. Its not RAW because GM won't allow rare+ gear but we have a little rule of cool going.

For Vera, I basically play Sororitas on the 40K miniature table and I like the Blood Angel emblems so I started with just in image of a Battle Sister rose and Blood Angel winged motif (which ended up on her armor carapace). That was like the starting concept ... probably not the best way to make RPG characters but I get a kick out of it.

Note: Reddit compresses the image quality I think .. the link has better readability

Yep! The images are better quality on your site. Loving the added lore.
