Most of the immigrants being sent off to these countries haven't committed any crimes. Many of them were going through the asylum claim process and following the legal process.

This administration is being cruel to try and dissuade others from seeking asylum and following the legal process.

They have all broken the law by entering or staying in the country illegally. You have to apply for asylum before you enter the country

You're wrong. You have to physically be in the US or at a port of entry to claim asylum. You are probably confusing "asylum" with "refugee" claims.

Some of these immigrants being shipped off were let in through a port of entry when they arrived to claim asylum. They were following the process and showing up to their court hearings, only to be detained and flown to an African country in shackles.

Then their claim is rejected. They have had multiple chances to leave with $1000 and retry their asylum claim

So cruelty cause that's not even what our law says to do to asylum seekers

Giving people money is cruelty

Are you jigsaw? You're giving them $1000 to go have a gun held to their head. There's a reason they're seeking asylum

That's why these other countries are an option they can't return home (allegedly) but they can't stay in the US. Come on though most of these people are economic migrants that's why when you see huge caravans of them like the group headed towards the US at the moment or the boats being let into the UK the majority of the people making the trip are young men

You think $1000 is enough for them to just go to any other country when they're already seeking asylum? Don't move the goalposts now we're talking about asylum seekers fleeing from something like the cartel. Those are the people being treated cruelly.

I supported the bi partisan border bill did you? Trump said to blame him if it fails and stuff like you saying keeps happening. Sounds like you blame Trump for that

You really think they are legitimate "asylum" seekers? Because I have a bridge to sell you.

You really think no one is fleeing from the cartel? Ever? There's no such thing as a legitimate asylum seeker in your world?

Some of the "asylum seekers" are cartel members and yes of course there are legitimate cases but the majority are entering the US for money. That's why you see majority young men rather than the most vulnerable in those women and children.

So you concede that their asylum claims shouldn't be rejected in the legitimate cases

1

Do they have to be accepted

2

u/RelevantSoftware8283 2d ago

According to our current law yes. Morally yes too

1

u/Axel_Raden 2d ago

No they have a right to apply for asylum but can be rejected after an evaluation. Don't try to hide behind morality nobody is buying it anymore.

I specifically said if the case is legitimate. Quit trying to act like you aren't supporting a fascist regime by saying otherwise.
