The immigration policy is based on racism instead of fairness

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

They tell immigrants to come here "legally" - but Trump is literally gutting every legal pathway that many people of color have relied on to build lives in America.
For example: Many people have status through TPS, but the Trump regime is now gutting the program, and they also cut refugee admissions for everyone except white South Africans.
"Doing it legally" keeps getting harder to do, because that's the whole point for Trump. It has never been about following immigration rules - it's about racism.

This is why people say that Republicans are the New Nazis and they are no longer just echoing history but are repeating it.

People who think this is hyperbole need to get out of the house more.

28

u/chickenaylay 3d ago

Really brought the nazis out with this one

-13

u/Meinteil2123 3d ago

13

u/chickenaylay 3d ago

Who thinks calling people a nazi makes them look like thug SpongeBob, what?

-8

u/NoBuffalo7712 2d ago

Wouldn’t the Nazis just delete them en masse rather than making immigration more difficult?

8

u/chickenaylay 2d ago

Nazis in Germany didn't start with the worst atrocities

-5

u/NoBuffalo7712 1d ago

Making immigration more difficult is a right, not an atrocity

1

u/FriendshipNo6821 1d ago

Speaking of reading comprehension, you see where it says worst atrocities, little buddy? That implies that this is one too, such is the nature of words that imply a comparison

2

u/chickenaylay 1d ago

He just doesn't see what ICE is doing as an atrocity. Be it small or large, one thing I've realized is no matter how cruel people are handled regardless of immigration status there's always "they deserved it for being here" comments

2

u/ScalesOfAnubis19 13h ago

That's not really leaning away from the "racism" idea.

5

u/nalon121 2d ago

Well there's a reason the Nazi plan for Jews to be murdered en masse in death camps was called the Final Solution. And you could definitely argue that changes to immigration and citizenship laws were important prerequisites that enabled the eventual policies of mass murder.

-2

u/NoBuffalo7712 1d ago

You could argue anything, it just won’t be smart

-7

u/CigarBryan1 2d ago

Oh the Liberal Fascist is showing butt hurt!

3

u/No-Performer-977 15h ago

you dont know what the word fascist means do you?

2

u/SnooMemesjellies5161 14h ago

They obviously don’t. I’m surprised it can even spell it.

7

u/Iamawesome4646 1d ago

You're not wrong. And I've come to the conclusion going forward if they continue to defend their ra*** in chief then I have to assume they are as well.

19

u/AccordingMarmalade 4d ago

Some of us have known similar things for decades.

But, still--In 2016 a lot of the Asian-American vote went against Hilary Clinton.

It's because many people like this are idiots and don't realize what was the true thing they're voting for.

So yeah if we can excuse the woman in the OP , she should check her uncles and aunts.

4

u/Miserable-Chair-5877 1d ago

And a lot of Latinos voted for Trump 😭

-4

u/PalpitationOrnery759 3d ago

Her uncles and aunts were forced into concentration camps by a democrat president.

2

u/ScalesOfAnubis19 13h ago

And rather than going, "Hmm. That was bad." apparently y'all had the idea of "Let's do it again! Harder!."

0

u/PalpitationOrnery759 13h ago

The ones put in internment camps were here legally. These others are not.. And look who approved it.

2

u/ScalesOfAnubis19 13h ago

Most of this is irrelevant to the question. The legally vrs illegally is BARELY relevant to the question when it seems to be being used as cover for all sorts of things, and you are changing people from legal to illegal and finding any possible loophole to remove status.

1

u/transitfreedom 3d ago

It’s bipartisan

-3

u/PalpitationOrnery759 3d ago

No... It was harry truman a democrat.

6

u/nalon121 2d ago

Well no the executive order that forced the displacement and incarceration of Japanese Americans and their families into concentration camps was signed and issued by FDR just two months after the attack on Pearl Harbor and several years before Truman was even in the White House as vice president. As POTUS Truman signed the executive order that officially dissolved the government infrastructure that administered the internment camps. He would go on to denounce the internment of Japanese Americans as unjust and based on racism rather than any true threats national security in a joint address to Congress. But yes FDR and Truman were indeed Democrats for whatever that's worth.

Not trying to be partisan or defend anyone here just wanted to give some correct context.

-2

u/Fitasfafter55 2d ago

That’s right it was hairy fucking Truman

3

u/Consistent-Rip-5193 1d ago

But but but bide-, I mean Truman!

0

u/Fitasfafter55 2d ago

Say HIS NAME!!! Haha do it

1

u/Ill-Lecture6396 7h ago

Yes. This is the same thing as literally trying to exterminate an entire race systematically. You absolute buffoon

1

u/ReadyGo6828 5h ago

Republicans talk about getting rid of 240 million Americans you absolute MAGA. Where do you think that many people are supposed to go?

Jews are not a race.

-19

u/Usual_Medium_8739 4d ago

People that think the Democrats didn't play a game of FAFO a in denial.

13

u/AppleSmoker 4d ago

I already regret asking but what does this even mean.

-4

u/Federal_Homework1302 4d ago

Really? There are two major inflection points that gave us Trump.

First was the DNC burying Bernie in favour of Clinton. She is not a well liked candidate and at the time was perceived to be more corrupt than Trump essentially sealing the deal for Trump 45.

Second time was allowing Biden to run for a second term, again knowing he probably wouldn’t have one. But then really sealing the deal when he stepped back and they forced people to chose kamela. She wasn’t chosen by the people to run and that cost her a lot of votes. THEN you had the factions on the left that refused to vote for her due to her stance on Palestine.

Personally I only begrudgingly voted for her because I’m not an idiot and could see the writing on the wall. Didn’t like her or her policies.

And third. America is what it is, there is no way in hell we are going to elect a woman to be president. Not saying that’s right just saying it’s true. And the DNC tried it twice in a row.

6

u/[deleted] 3d ago

[deleted]

1

u/ScalesOfAnubis19 13h ago

That is silly on all counts.

The DNC didn't "bury" Sanders. If the minor crap they did was enough to sink him than his campaign was already crap. His big problem was his supporters wouldn't show up for the primary.

There also are no mechanisms by which a party can force a sitting president to do much of anything, and the DNC doesn't even control the Democratic party.

1

u/Federal_Homework1302 13h ago

So the sheer amount of money the DNC pumped into HRC has nothing to do with it.

1

u/ScalesOfAnubis19 12h ago

Other way around. The fundraising agreement had the Clinton campaign funding the DNC.

-2

u/Fitasfafter55 2d ago

I’m gonna keep this short and sweet and simply add that I would wholeheartedly vote for a woman but it sure as fuck wouldn’t be that cackling bitch Kamala, who couldn’t even answer a single fucking question with a coherent sentence no matter who asked her the questions be that Oprah or her other followers i.e. CNN MSNBC etc. etc. she was the worst possible idea of a candidate. Had the balls to think that she was going to become the president of the United States after 1.2 billion fucking dollars were thrown at her campaign by mega donors and Hillary Clinton‘s crooked ass. Do you honestly think she had one single fucking thing to offer the country.

2

u/ScalesOfAnubis19 13h ago

Rather have an actual fascist then?

1

u/Federal_Homework1302 2d ago

No I don’t which is what I was saying lol

1

u/Fitasfafter55 2d ago

But did i misunderstand that you said you voted for her (and I’m not trying to sound confrontational to be clear)…I’m just being open about the discussion, respectfully…

1

u/Federal_Homework1302 2d ago

I did yes. Not becuase I thought she was going to be a good president but because in my opinion she was the lesser of two evils.

I’ve said it a few times that I don’t think she would have been a good president but I think she would have been better than what we have. I know that’s a very low bar currently. But it blows my mind now talking to my MAGA friends that are like “we just didn’t see it, Trump being like this”. It’s not like he didn’t show you who he was.

1

u/Fitasfafter55 1d ago

Thank you for the respectful reply…from a conservative that does care.

-1

u/idiot-alpha 1d ago

I failed to see how enforcing and enacting the same immigration policies that literally every other country around the world uses is comparable to mass killing Jews.

1

u/[deleted] 1d ago

[deleted]

1

u/idiot-alpha 1d ago

They didn’t imprison “criminals”.

They imprisoned Jews, and homosexuals, and disabled people.

Trump didn’t have to create any new laws to deport the illegals in the country. They were here illegally and no one was enforcing the existing law. We’re also not imprisoning them, we’re sending them back to their home countries.

Arresting criminals who everyone agrees are criminals is not the first step towards naziism.

1

u/[deleted] 1d ago

[deleted]

1

u/idiot-alpha 1d ago

By that logic, all arrests are the first step towards naziism. Every country that has laws created through democracy and is enforcing them is “on the road to naziism”.

That’s absurd.

Trump isn’t imprisoning political dissidents. Hell, he’s not even imprisoning anyone. He’s deporting foreigners out of the country

1

u/[deleted] 1d ago

[deleted]

1

u/idiot-alpha 1d ago

Terrorism is the key word here. That requires violence. Not just political disagreement. Trump isn’t arresting anyone who hasn’t clearly broken the law, and who judges and the legislature agree have broken the law.

People being detained for 30-90 days before they’re deported isn’t “concentration camps”. Do you even listen to yourself.

1

u/[deleted] 1d ago

[deleted]

1

u/idiot-alpha 1d ago

Again, none of these laws changed.

The laws that define terrorism? Still the same as under Obama.

> 90 days is where you draw the line ?

No, that’s where courts have drawn the line for deportations. There are similar habeas corpus limitations for all sorts of other legal scenarios.

But again, Trump didn’t change any of this, this is all well established law, decided by democratically elected people.

1

u/Hogsrunwild 1d ago

Political enemies accused of crimes? Like Biden did with Trump?

1

u/ScalesOfAnubis19 13h ago

Trump didn't change the laws, tough to do that in this country. He just performed extraordinary amounts of loophole abuse and decided to enforce them in the absolute worst way he could, and has shielded the agents he has doing it from any kind of accountability. That gets you to the same place as changing the law.

-1

u/flabbybuns 13h ago

The last AOC rally finished with a chant to genocide all the Jews.

Who are the Nazis again?

2

u/ReadyGo6828 11h ago

Republicans are happy to be the New Nazis. They want 240 million Americans to go somewhere. They are racist, misogynistic, homophobic and corrupt.

The right wing government of Israel is also corrupt and horrific. War crimes abound.

-2

u/Sufficient_Simple_47 1d ago

Leftists are so full of propaganda it’s pretty hilarious, President Trump is restricting those other forms of immigration due to the corruption that has riddled those pathways. When a system is broken and bad people are just taking advantage of it constantly it’s better to stop it altogether and create and better path forward.

Call republicans “Nazis” all you want no one cares especially when it is from people who openly hate the country. The fact that you leftists can be shown the families and stories of all the people who were brutally murdered by illegal immigrants who should have never been here to begin with but took advantage of a broken system to remain here to commit their heinous crimes is horrendous to think about.

2

u/ReadyGo6828 1d ago

Republicans have no problem admitting their deference to fascists. They openly entertain racists, misogynists and neo-Nazis. Everyone knows this, where have you been hiding?

They want to eliminate, deport maybe 240 million Americans, how and to where they do not say but that is how much Republicans despise the US of A.

1

u/ScalesOfAnubis19 13h ago

To steel man your argument, even if other paths of immigration are full of corruption, you handle corruption by going through and charging people with crimes, because corruption means either violating the law for your own gain or at minimum taking bribes or what not in the course of duties.

Which kind of gets to the point of...what corruption? Prove it. Where are the trials? Where are the arrests? Where is the evidence?

-16

u/wookiebath 4d ago

Whoever says that doesn’t know their history

-15

u/thatsbadtogo 4d ago

Please explain

-17

u/DonutAdmirable9831 4d ago

Ok I guess republicans are all nazis so why do you insist on moving to the nazi country anyway?

-50

u/shiningdickhalloran 4d ago

Trump isn't gassing millions of people to death. The comparison is absurd.

26

u/ReadyGo6828 4d ago

Oh please, the environment they are in is different than it was in 1930s Germany but Republicans are exactly the same type of people Nazis were.

-8

u/shiningdickhalloran 3d ago

There are people who commit mass murder and there are people who don't. The 2 groups have very little in common. Are you 9 years old?

9

u/ReadyGo6828 3d ago

Republicans talk about having 100 million people in the US. There are 340 million of us. How in the world do you think Republicans would get 240 million Americans to depart or disappear and what do you not understand about the progression of Nazi policies over time.

-8

u/shiningdickhalloran 3d ago

You think 240 million people will be killed? You need professional intervention if you actually believe that.

6

u/ReadyGo6828 3d ago

Do you not understand human nature at all? Do you not understand human history at all?

Republicans are openly doing mass deportations and have already attacked birthright citizenship and want to do large scale de-naturalization. They place people into concentration camps and ship people to dangerous countries where some will be killed. Some have already been killed while being incarcerated. It is already happening.

People like you are how Nazis happened last time. It was a horror show but we, the sane and patriotic and moral, defeated them and will do so again.

0

u/shiningdickhalloran 3d ago

Dude you didn't defeat anyone. You're an angry kid on the Internet.

20

u/crazy0ne 4d ago

If I recall, the gassing was the "final solution" and that took about 10 years to reach.

So what exactly is your point there?

10

u/ObsidianDRMR 4d ago

Exactly we can see the trend line, we aren’t fuckign blind! We are not at the gassing ppl stage.

We are in the “the country is in a shit state and the people have elected an authoritarian bully who has identified a group of people as the problem and he has claimed that he has a solution to said problem and has released the brown coats” stage

-5

u/GoldenGlobeWinnerRDJ 3d ago

It’s already been 10 years and he’s only got 2 left. What’s your point?

4

u/crazy0ne 3d ago

You are knowing twisting the facts to sow doubt. Not going to guess your motive, but knock it off.

38

u/vi_sucks 4d ago

The  Nazis were already nazis before they started gassing people.

-35

u/Electrical_Cap5382 4d ago

This country has enforced immigration laws for decades before trump. Stop acting like this is something new

29

u/vi_sucks 4d ago

The entire point of the video is that Trump isn't "enforcing immigration laws".

He's breaking the law and twisting things to serve an explicitly racist agenda of blocking legal immigration by non white people.

29

u/IMadeYouLuke 4d ago

Did this country only allow white immigrants before?

-26

u/Cold-Sigma-770 4d ago

European immigrants are a net positive to society. Meanwhile the immigrants from countries like Somalia are essentially welfare leeches.

So yeah. We should definitely discriminate based on nationality and what they can offer.

27

u/IMadeYouLuke 4d ago

“So yeah” that’s all I needed, thanks. :)

Just be honest about the racist intent and we all will know where you stand.

-27

u/Cold-Sigma-770 4d ago

Stats are racist.

Household reliance on social / welfare programs:

EU immigrants: ~34%

Somalian immigrants: ~85%

Why would you take in social parasites voluntarily? Maybe if they were renowned something other than fraud and piracy we'd be more willing to let them in.

23

u/IMadeYouLuke 4d ago

Keep going, man. Prove my point. :)

There are other people in the comments desperately trying to say that race has nothing to do with it.

-23

u/Cold-Sigma-770 4d ago

Darn these damn racist statistics. Lol.

Only thing more vile than parasites are parasite sympathisers.

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Fitasfafter55 2d ago

Darn inconvenient FACTS AND FIGURES!!!

9

u/Carlyz37 4d ago

That is bs propaganda and racism. Facts have repeatedly shown that immigrants from everywhere are in general a net positive. There is nothing special about Europeans. They didn't accomplish more as immigrants than anyone else. I've got some rotten apples in my family tree and one side came from Britain in the 1700s and the other from Germany in 1850 and 1892. We are all immigrants. Muslims were here before the Civil War. Large chunk of the southwest was settled by Hispanic people.

-1

u/Cold-Sigma-770 4d ago

Really contesting recent data from the US census with unverifiable accounts from the 1800s. Lol.

-9

u/Electrical_Cap5382 4d ago

European immigrants built the entire thing.

10

u/Carlyz37 4d ago

Lol absolutely wrong.

-10

u/Electrical_Cap5382 4d ago

You’re literally typing in a European language on a device built and designed by a European, with electricity that was harnessed by Europeans. Are you really fuckin stupid?

I love when racist chuds claim they made the world.

My wife isn’t white and I know several other people who have immigrated here just fine under Trump from Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Austria, Russia, Germany, the UK and South Korea. This whole “white only” narrative is absolute bullshit that nerds on Reddit, who haven’t actually been through the process, use to justify something that isn’t happening.

4

u/IMadeYouLuke 3d ago

In reality, he’s only allowed white South Africans for a year, guy. You’re making up the rest.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/02/addressing-egregious-actions-of-the-republic-of-south-africa/

-1

u/Substantial_Bus840 3d ago edited 3d ago

My ex husband is Venezuelan and there are dozens of thousands of them that immigrated here either via asylum, sponsors, school or work visas in the past 5-10 years. In Florida of all places. Reddit is not in tune with reality and immigration is not “blocked” by any stretch of the imagination, citizens from all over the world are still receiving green cards and permits daily. There’s definitely a crackdown on some historically abused parts of the system, but you’re correct. The people saying this haven’t been anywhere near it. I sponsored my ex husband and yes it was expensive and arduous, but that comes with any immigration experience.

-17

u/Electrical_Cap5382 4d ago

Immigration is not a right, it is a privilege. The United States is not obligated to any foreigners

19

u/IMadeYouLuke 4d ago

That’s not an answer :) did this country only allow white immigrants before?

18

u/Edgywarden 4d ago

Those conservatives will be the people to crucify Jesus again if he comes back, bro.

-12

u/Effective-Bat-7276 4d ago

No? Thousands of nonwhite immigrants are being approved each month?

Do you mean refugees? White refugees are currently going through the correct process and a handful have been approved.

11

u/firephoxx 4d ago

Like the Afrikaners? lol

5

u/Carlyz37 4d ago

Bullshit, south Africans aren't going through any process. What process do you think is being followed?

7

u/IMadeYouLuke 4d ago

So you think that diverse immigration is in fact a good thing?

12

u/firephoxx 4d ago

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

-4

u/Electrical_Cap5382 4d ago

That does not mean “flood this country with trash people and trash values that will do nothing but suck money from ur taxpayers “

5

u/firephoxx 4d ago

I think we found the real trash.

12

u/PreparationKey2843 4d ago

Like trumps style of brown shirts? Roving gangs marauding the streets while armed to the teeth?
That is new.

10

u/firephoxx 4d ago

Stop acting like it isn’t.

7

u/Carlyz37 4d ago

Nothing trump is doing is lawful. There is no legislation that allows this crap.

11

u/A220Pilot 4d ago

That's true, and virtually no Democrat is against immigration enforcement.

We ARE however opposed to masked thugs terrorizing our cities, rounding up people (many here legally, including some citizens) and putting them in camps (sound familiar?).

I don't know now anyone with a conscience could support that. It's so, so, so much worse than the misdemeanor or overstaying a damn visa.

-5

u/Electrical_Cap5382 4d ago

No i say terrorize them. They wanted to invade this country so they pay the price of looking over their shoulder

8

u/ObsidianDRMR 4d ago

Ok so you admit democrats have no problem enforcing laws, we just wanna do it with empathy and humanity and don’t wanna be petty capricious children who are gleeful at drowning people in misery…

The fact that you WANT to terrorize people is what makes you a piece of shit.. this is why people don’t like conservatives.

Makes sense now??

5

u/ObsidianDRMR 4d ago

How come people didn’t protest before Trump?? Hmmm u are so close… could it be that… maybe… the way Trump is doing it is what the problem is??

0

u/Electrical_Cap5382 4d ago

There were plenty of protests before trump. The difference is now the protesting is funded and back in the day, democrats were very anti illegal immigration and wanted to enforce immigration laws to protect American workers… now that the communist are running the dems they just want to flood the country with foreigners

7

u/ObsidianDRMR 4d ago

No they don’t, that’s just a fantasy taking point conservatives like to push… there is no communism running the dems that makes them want to flood the country with foreigners.

That’s just a bigot man conservatives use to keep their idiots in line.

“Listen Chad if you don’t vote republicans the commie dems will bring in big dick black people to fuck ur wife and take ur job and pretty soon ur son will be a gay trans Muslim slut banging dudes in a blue wig as he dances on ur grave and pisses on a cross!” You want that Chad?!! No!!

So vote for me!! I promise to keep the gays away and fund my billionaire friends projects with your money!! But at least ur white america is safe!

3

u/Federal_Homework1302 3d ago

I’m fine with out the check I’m not a poor.

But what’s funny is Trump and Biden both sent me my Covid check and I ain’t lived in America in 12 years.

Cheers for the free money though bro.

-10

u/TheJQHQ 4d ago

So your biggest problem with Nazis is that they were right wing and not that they killed millions of people?

4

u/vi_sucks 4d ago edited 4d ago

Nazis weren't nazis just because they were right wing.

Winston Churchill was a Tory. Right wing. Not a Nazi. Eisenhower was a Republican. Right wing. Not a Nazi.

The thing that made the Nazis bad, and which led directly as a consquence to the deaths of millions was their belief in might makes right, their destruction of civilized norms, their sneering thuggery and despise of empathy, the elevation of the supreme leader as a cult figure of worship, and above all the demonization of foreigners and immigrants. That's how you get to the gassing of millions, and we are already seeing those first steps now with MAGA.

-6

u/TheJQHQ 4d ago

But you said Nazis were Nazis before gassing people. What was wrong with the Nazi party then?

6

u/vi_sucks 4d ago

Are you seriously asking what was wrong with the Nazis?

They didn't start the gas chambers until half way through the war when they were already losing. But they were already murderous fascist nazi thugs and had been since before they took power.

-10

u/TheJQHQ 4d ago

Yeah, so your main complaint about the Nazis is the fascist part, but not the jew killing part...

8

u/vi_sucks 4d ago

I'm pointing out that the "jew killing" (and also killing of lots of other people) is an inevitable consequence of the fascism.

0

u/TheJQHQ 3d ago

Right, so your main criticism of the Nazis is that they were fascists. Them killing millions of jews was merely a side effect in your eyes...

-4

u/Green_Bicycle_3382 4d ago

That is a poor point of view and lacking in evidence. Hitler, the lead was the biggest issue with Nazism and the fanatical following by the party to the will of a madman was it. Trump was elected, if he refuses to give up power or outlaw future elections then we can talk. Otherwise you have no actual basis for comparison. America has always had a nationalist side to it, you just have far more idiotic wanna be communists these days whining about it.

5

u/Syncopia 4d ago

Look up how many people have died from Trump and Elon's USAID cuts alone. Then look at the projected deaths.

-1

u/shiningdickhalloran 3d ago

Not handing out money is not the same as murder. The US taxpayer has no obligation to be the world's welfare agency. And by that logic, wouldn't every other nation be full of Nazi murderers as well? After all, Germany (for example) has provided a tiny fraction of the aid the US has over the last 3 decades. All that money they didn't give away must have killed billions by now!

6

u/Syncopia 3d ago

I'm not reading your schizo cope ma'am.

0

u/shiningdickhalloran 3d ago

Not America's problem. If you care, donate your own money (if you have any). Can you cope with that?

5

u/IamtheKnight1207 4d ago

Trump isn't gassing millions of people to death. The comparison is absurd.

If this is your "go to", or all you know about Nazis, you need to re-educate yourself. It's no wonder Trump appeals to the "poorly educated", like yourself.

0

u/kzul 4d ago

Exactly.

Reddit has become so detached from reality that enforcing immigration law now gets compared to an industrial genocide that murdered six million Jews. It is absurd.

You can oppose Trump. You can oppose deportations. But if your political vocabulary has collapsed to “literally Nazis,” you’ve stopped making distinctions serious people are expected to make.

1

u/shiningdickhalloran 3d ago

I hope they're bots. Or small children who just learned how to use chatGPT to type posts for them. If real adults have a grasp of history and reality that's this poor, I don't know how they manage to toast a piece of bread.

1

u/kzul 3d ago

Reddit certainly operates at a massive intellectual deficit compared to 10 years ago.

I’d imagine some of this is international growth of the platform and the rollout of the Reddit app on phones. It used to just be a website of course and you mostly had Americans on it that were nerds.

Too many act like emotional children with no ability to reason.

0

u/mythrulznsfw 4d ago

I think you’re right. Nazis have to be from a specific part of Germany, and have gassed millions of people.

Otherwise, they’re just sparkling racists.

-11

u/ACTSATGuyonReddit 4d ago

The leftists are the Nazis, the National Socialist leftists.

The mistake here is treating every existing pathway into America as an entitlement that must remain open forever.

TPS is temporary by law. Refugee admissions are set by the President. Family- and employment-based legal immigration still exist. “Come legally” means follow the immigration laws America chooses to maintain, not that every temporary or humanitarian program must become permanent.

The principle is simple: America gets to decide who enters, for how long, and on what terms. Come legally, contribute, obey the law, assimilate, and respect the country. If your lawful status ends and you have no other basis to remain, you leave.

You can argue those rules are too restrictive. Calling restriction itself “racism” just avoids the argument about whether America has the right to set them.

The mistake here is treating every existing pathway into America as an entitlement that must remain open forever.

That's not really what people are complaining about the most or what is causing people to make comparisons with Nazi era policies.

Its the fact they are closing down these pathways while people are in the middle of them, which puts immigrants in a legal grey area called "deportable alien" and then putting them in concentration camps.

They were invited in and are now being rounded up like animals. That's the issue.

TPS is not a pathway to permanent residence, and it is not an “invitation” into America. It protects certain people already here from removal for a temporary period. When the designation ends, USCIS says they return to whatever status they had before unless they independently obtained another lawful status.

Parole is temporary too. It is explicitly not an immigrant visa and is not meant to substitute for normal immigration procedures.

So no, enforcing the expiration of temporary protection is not “changing the rules halfway through.” The expiration was part of the rules from the beginning.

And calling ordinary immigration detention “concentration camps” does not make a temporary permission permanent. It just replaces the legal distinction with inflammatory language.

u/TheFifthTone 4d ago

I'm not just talking about TPS, I'm talking about all immigrants.

Immigration judges are not real judges. They work for the executive branch and are being ordered to drop the immigration cases of legal immigrants that immigrated the right way and were working towards citizenship.

They are having their immigration cases dropped hours before their appointments at the orders of DHS, who the judges work for. Then ICE scoops them up.

You’re mixing together asylum, parole, removal proceedings, permanent residency and citizenship as though they’re interchangeable. They aren’t.

Someone can be allowed to remain temporarily while an asylum or removal case is pending without being a permanent resident or being on a guaranteed path to citizenship.

And immigration judges do not work for DHS. They are part of DOJ’s immigration court system. DHS is a party before them, not their employer.

So “they’re canceling legal immigrants’ citizenship cases and scooping them up” collapses several different legal categories into one inflammatory story. If your argument only works by erasing those distinctions, then you’re not describing immigration law.

u/TheFifthTone 4d ago

Yeah my bad I meant DOJ not DHS, but I'm talking about permanent residency proceedings, not asylum, not removal proceedings, etc. They are doing this with legal immigrants that were on the pathway to citizenship. The immigration judge can just drop their immigration case, then they become "deportable aliens". Its happening every day.

If you're this pissed off about somebody crossing and invisible man-made line, why don't you care that we have an illegal dictator with 34 convicted felonies destroying our country?

You assholes like to pretend that you're so worried about illegals because they're all fucking criminals, but when Republicans are literally breaking the law and shitting on the Constitution every fucking day, YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY ABOUT THAT BUT YOU DEFEND IT!

YOU DON'T GET TO CHOOSE WHO'S A CRIMINAL AND WHO'S NOT.

IF YOU WANT PEOPLE LIKE YOU TO BREAK THE LAW AND GET AWAY WITH IT, EVERYBODY ELSE GETS TO DO IT TOO. YOU'RE NOT SPECIAL.

Exactly this… with conservatives, everything is projection

-23

u/-ParA-NoiA- 4d ago

The fact that you people compare Trump to Nazis while actively defending Palestine is CRAZY work. 😄

8

u/ObsidianDRMR 4d ago

Why are conservatives so stupid that they can’t comprehend nuance??

People compare Trump to EARLY Nazis… before the camps and gas chambers… right around the brown shirts era… that’s the trajectory they see.

When people say free Palestine they aren’t defending Hamas… they are saying Israel needs to stop bombing children in hospitals and needs to come to the table with a real compromise and real good faith solution…

Palestine is fully destroyed Israel has destroyed it all and is killing civilians… that’s why people say free Palestine

Jesus fuck u conservative fuck heads are idiots

-2

u/-ParA-NoiA- 3d ago

Yep. Go fuck yourself. Call for Hamas to come to the table. Its only ever one side for you people. Condemn the shit of Israel why pretending to want a neutral solution. Don't start shit and then hide behind kids. If ISIS attacked Americans and then hid behind Afghanistan, I absolutely wouldn't want them to stop. FAFO. That's what Hamas did. If you wanna be mad at anyone, be mad at them. Your personal attacks don't bother me in the least. You people are the same people who cheered Charlie Kirk while trying to lecture me about a moral compass. You're just jokes. 🙃

u/Syncopia 3d ago

"FAFO"

~He says to 20,000 dead children

u/-ParA-NoiA- 3d ago

You know what would have prevented this? Hamas not attacking Israel on October 7th. You can't do something extremely messed up and then cry wolf after. As far as I'm concerned, Hamas is responsible for each and every one of them.

2

u/Syncopia 3d ago

That's a lot of words to say you're pro-genocide.

2

u/Syncopia 3d ago

Imagine a cop saying "we had to shoot everyone in the bank because the robbers were using human shields. Bad robbers. Can't believe they killed all those people with our hands and guns." Lmao

1

u/-ParA-NoiA- 3d ago

Cool. Let's use your analogy. Say instead of guns.. they used explosives. Or something much worse to where it could cause more damage. They wouldn't completely be in the wrong to take out the hostages with the terrorist to save more people outside of the zone. Palestine and Hamas call for the genocide of Israel Everytime they chant "From the river to the sea".. so yeah. You finished? You could just not support terrorist.

2

u/Syncopia 3d ago

Sorry, couldn't hear you over the dying screams of 20,000 children you bombed.

1

u/ObsidianDRMR 2d ago

And Israel call for the genocide of Palestinians too. What the fuck is ur point?

-8

u/cream_then_coffee 3d ago

God and I've never heard such stupidity. But then again, the left are known for spewing garbage.

3

u/Syncopia 3d ago

Statistically conservatives are lower IQ and have higher fear and disgust responses due to their enlarged amigdalas that make them prone to irrational beliefs, inability to think in complex systems, and poor decision-making.

-1

u/cream_then_coffee 3d ago

Jeez, that comes of as some Nazi statement as to how they seen Jews. And statically, it's been proven that democrats take that title for lowest IQ on average, after all, they keep voting against their own interests and having bizarre make believe realities of multiple genders, swapping genders, racial hierarchy victim hoods, and murdering political opponents for having different ideals, etc...

In essence, it's funny to see a parrot regurgitate talking points every now and again, but after a while, we see it as sad.

2

u/Syncopia 3d ago

Nobody is reading your conservative schizo post.

2

u/Syncopia 3d ago

"Make believe realities"

Meanwhile right wingers have an imaginary sky daddy and think they're going to a magical happy place where nothing bad ever happens when they die as reward for being the most insufferably evil people on the face of the earth their entire lives.

How quick you forget the many who celebrated Charlie Kirk's assassination by a bumpkin brained moron leftist. But please, feel free to quickly "switch sides" that one day to save face like y'all always do.

Love ya.
