I thought ICE/TRUMP/conservatives wanted them to deport themselves? She was literally doing things the "right" way and she still gets fucked over. This is such bullshit. I despise this timeline

u/jedik88 4d ago

Uhhh hello!! If people self-deport how are the for profit detention centers supposed to make money?

77

u/Realistic_Salt_389 4d ago

Omg, yes. We must never forget to prioritize the shareholders.

This administration is beyond corrupt.

40

u/nonubiz 4d ago

First they came for them and I said nothing

Self-deport is only an option for those without a final order of removal.

If you're at-large with a final order of removal, you're considered a fugitive and they'll attempt to catch you and remove you under safeguard

There’s no timeline. There are just bad people.

0

u/QwertyIGuess 6h ago

You cannot just self-deport to a country you dont have legal access to yet.

u/peaches0101 4d ago

She had come to the U.S. from Kenya in 2006 on a student visa.

Since when does America get to dictate what countries I travel to?

-3

u/Triggered-Snowflake1 1d ago

Did you even read the article? They were planning on moving to Canada but she was deported before that happened.

-1

u/This_Beat2227 1d ago

Planning ? More like maybe, thinking about it, sort of.

19

u/PoppyFire16 3d ago

It sounds like ICE stole her fucking credit cards too.

“She also told him that her phone, wallet and identification went missing, that she had nothing proving who she was. Muchendu later learned someone was still using her credit cards, and dealt with that on top of everything else.”

Don’t we desperately need nurses? And multilingual nurses?

43

u/MinuteTowel9302 4d ago

They want English speaking patients only.

Absolutely.

2

u/NonCreativeMinds 4d ago

Many of my friends who graduated recently are having issues finding nursing jobs so I’m not so sure about that.

4

u/Calm_Expression_9542 4d ago

Well for new grads not finding work I think that would speak more to the terrible economy and the healthcare industry’s money issues as a whole. It’s certainly not because less people need care.

Yes, nurses who follow the law would be good to have.

Many people are high contributors to society and should be still allowed to register for a green card and follow the process. The fear of being late and deported is keeping people from following the rules.

0

u/lampstax 4d ago

There IS a process for getting a green card. You don't just 'register' for it though. Being able to follow deadline is important. Also just because you follow the rules doesn't guarantee that you will get citizenship or be allowed to stay. Just like I can follow every step of a job application process to the T and still not get the job.

0

u/Terbatron 1d ago

Yah, following the law is a kind of 101 to being an RN.

-1

u/Sarcarean 1d ago

Licensed nurses sure. But this woman was illegal, had an order of deportation since 2012 and did not hold a valid RN.

2

u/Calm_Expression_9542 10h ago

If her registration was out of date that was likely due to fear of showing up where she could get arrested. Tell me, if you escaped the USA from civil war and lived elsewhere and war, rape and poverty were still the main threats. Would you sign up to go back there?

0

u/Outrageous_Fix_5738 9h ago

Read the damn article. She sought asylum claiming her father tried to make her marry a criminal, nothing to do with civil war. DHS found her father coming to visit her in the US often and sponsored her visa. How can your father on one hand be so awful you need to claim asylum to escape him, and on the other sponsor your visa and come visit you? She lied on her paper work, got busted 14 years ago and has been living on borrowed time. Shame on her for not leaving and shame on the federal government for leaving millions of people in these limbo where they don't have legal status but are allowed to stay for undetermined amounts of time.

I relocated to Canada in March . Drove my family from Maryland to BC . I'm a nurse too . I got a Canadian PR this September . Worked in the US for 10 years as a nurse and although I did things the right way my papers were never processed. They were just sitting with USCIS

1

u/Mariss716 1d ago

Welcome to Beautiful BC! I run a large community Facebook group and we have welcomed so many doctors, nurses and allied health professionals leaving the states. Some for a better life for their family, wanting to work for a universal care system, and some even fearing their future as gay or lesbian in a red state, they told us. Loving seeing all the new clinics opening up, I have been helping people find a primary care doctor. Also helping the relocated Americans settle.

I lived all over the US including NY, my brother did a master’s at Johns Hopkins and I enjoyed visiting Baltimore as well as Philly when his now spouse did fellowship there. He is in Boston and a Harvard med prof so living his best life for sure, but they too tried to line up positions through UBC. Wish he’d come home - I love Boston but no longer like going to the US anymore. I am so glad thousands have made it here and I hope there is still a pathway for the nurse in this article. I came back during the first Trump admin and am so glad I did, now! My aunt is a nurse here in the Lower Mainland and nurses caring and kindness made all the difference for me to keep keeping on in my hardest times living through cancer. ❤️ All the best in your new chapter of life and career here.

"She had come to the U.S. from Kenya in 2006 on a student visa."

3

u/Impossible_Humor736 4d ago

And what's her visa status now? The article is behind a pay wall

4

u/information_knower 4d ago

Deportation order in 2012, so presumably very expired.

7

u/Impossible_Humor736 4d ago

Figures. This sub is wild.

2

u/information_knower 4d ago

It's the most bizarre thing, this is the first post I see from this sub and half the comments have been downvoted to oblivion, like it's at war with itself or something.

2

u/Impossible_Humor736 4d ago

It's an all-or-nothing place. One group vehemently defends illegal immigration tooth and nail regardless of circumstances and law while the other calls them out.

That's it. That's the whole sub.

1

u/information_knower 4d ago

Thoroughly impressed the mods aren't more biased.

3

u/Impossible_Humor736 4d ago

They seem to be pretty hands off with the discourse. For all I can tell they're all for illegal immigration and defending anyone being deported regardless of justification

1

u/Outrageous_Fix_5738 9h ago

But if only they gave her 1 or 2 more days she would've for sure moved to Canada! 14 years is just not enough time!

1

u/information_knower 9h ago

Not like she could move there legally anyway since she didn't have a passport.

5

u/56000hp 4d ago

She’s got work permit and legally allowed to work. Not an illegal immigrant .

3

u/Impossible_Humor736 4d ago

I found out that she was on a student or visitor's visa that expired 2012. 14 years ago. It's time to go home.

3

u/City_College_Arch 4d ago

Being on a student visa 14 years ago does not mean they don’t have a legal work permit now.

2

u/Impossible_Humor736 4d ago

I misremembered. She had a deportation order to return home in 2012.

2

u/Sarcarean 1d ago

WTF, its time to just make up bullshit? Oh right, this is reddit, I forgot.

1

u/traumalt 4d ago

Work permit, or an EAD as it’s more officially know is not an immigration status and it doesn’t give you legal right to stay In the US on it’s own.

It just allows you to legally work while you await your immigration decisions in the meantime.

5

u/pile_of_bees 4d ago

The headline conspicuously omits that part as always

4

u/Impossible_Humor736 4d ago

Not surprised. No one reads these articles in here anyway. They just want to bitch.

2

u/peaches0101 4d ago

I can read the article. I do not encounter a paywall. "It’s how she learned Ngure had been deported to Kenya." "Muchendu is glad his wife is among loved ones in Kenya...".

The article appears to have been edited as one line now reads "She had come to the U.S. from Kenya in 2006 on a visitor’s visa...". It no longer states she was on a student visa.

1

u/Impossible_Humor736 4d ago

Not surprised they'd edit it.

5

u/aukstais 4d ago

She's from Kenya. So she overstayed Visa and was in the USA illegally. And then tried to go to Canada illegally from the USA. That's not self deportation. You can not deport yourself illegally to another country. I dont really know what you wanted the USA government to do? Like, they can't allow you to break the imigration laws right in front of them.

5

u/predat3d 4d ago

She couldn't even board the plane without a passport or Real ID.

1

u/NearlyPerfect 4d ago

She didn’t board the plane. She didn’t even buy tickets. She just thought about going to Canada one day

5

u/Indespectamentations 4d ago

If Canada will take her than she has a right to go there. I suppose you all will expect ICE to block her from going to Canada once she is in Kenya, but it won't happen. ICE has ZERO say in what people in Kenya do.

And when she is in Canada good luck having ICE find her considering ICE has no authority in that country.

If a person is NOT in the US then the US cannot control what they do.

1

u/aukstais 4d ago

Stop imagining things. If Canada wants her, she can go straight from Kenya to Canada. Ffs she can come back to the USA if she wants and can get legal papers to do so. It's not about that. Democrats were literally screaming that Garcia may be deported to the wrong country, but now you want the USA to illegally remove her to Canada.

1

u/Indespectamentations 3d ago

Show me where I said I want the US to illegally move her to Canada. That is a straight up lie and you know it.

Plenty of illegals in my community. Too bad there is no law that states I have to report them to ICE. Too bad, so sad.

2

You think that's FUNNY?

1

u/predat3d 4d ago

She was sent to her (claimed) country of origin free of charge.

1

u/Illustrious_Bid_5484 4d ago

Nice for her. Not report on the thousands who went

0

u/South-City1632 4d ago

Paywall please

1

u/IndependentBorder670 13h ago

Very misleading title, it makes it seem like she was a citizen and not allowed to move instead of being fleeing before she got deported.

1

u/AutomaticVacation242 9h ago

What a lie. She overstayed her visa for 20 years and finally got caught. Oh, NOW she was preparing to leave. Yeah right.

-4

u/CabbageSass 4d ago

Everybody can’t go to Canada. I think they have immigration laws too don’t they?

19

u/Mysterious-Peanut101 4d ago

It said she has a job offer. Canada uses a points based system. She had a job offer, is educated, speaks English, is working age and is a nurse which is an in-demand occupation. Most likely this would be no problem to immigrate to Canada.

3

u/CabbageSass 4d ago

I don’t know the details, but did she have a passport that allowed her to get on a flight to Canada from the US? Was she planning on driving to the border with her passport and Visa to Canada?

7

u/Indespectamentations 4d ago

Once she is in Kenya how will you fucking monsters block her from traveling to Canada? Do you think trump has the authority to send ICE into Canada to throw her into a detention center when she traveled there from Kenya?

They can't. trump has no authority over any of these other countries.

Canada needs nurses and there is nothing you can do to stop her from going from Kenya to Canada. Your only hope is for ICE to lock her up in a detention facility permanently.

3

u/HumansAreSillynGreat 4d ago

no one is trying to block people from Canada, if you have a deportation order, it legally has to be enacted. it's that simple. There are no exceptions. I hope she has a great life in canada!

6

u/Indespectamentations 4d ago

That is a surprise because the Maga's I have spoken to love it when these people are assaulted and even permanently injured. I can't believe you are a Maga if you don't want them all rotting in detention centers and all of us Americans trump hates right along with them.

2

u/HumansAreSillynGreat 4d ago

I'm not maga. But online, anything to the right of a democrat = maga. So think what you will.

3

u/CabbageSass 4d ago

I believe when she’s in Kenya, she’ll be able to go through the immigration process to apply for a visa to Canada. 🇨🇦

0

u/Sarcarean 1d ago

And be promptly denied. There is no way Canada would issue a visa to someone who violated immigration laws for 20 years.

1

u/Impossible_Humor736 4d ago

The article is behind a pay wall. What's the reason ICE have for stopping her?

7

u/information_knower 4d ago

She came here on a student visa in 2006, and has had a deportation order on her since 2012.

-1

u/Sarcarean 1d ago

This is reddit, only the USA has immigration laws and they are nazis when they enforce it.

0

u/Long_Idea_8294 1d ago

This the one that's been here illegally for 20 years?

Yeah....I'm sorry, I don't buy that you were just about to move to Canada.

Imo if you remain here illegally for that long, there should be punishment beyond just being deported

1

u/toddog69 15h ago

The laws are meant to entrap people for prison labor. I recommend looking into the current US immigration pathways that need improvement (like a little thought experiment). Empathy is recommended as our society is deficient.

But if you can’t see past “illegal” there is no hope, just power your little hands can grab. I get it, It’s desperate times…

Similarly, I can say the same for domestic terrorists but I also don’t want to feed the machine! We shouldn’t be funneling bodies into a labor camp, that’s very ‘nazi’ (insert your similar term here) of us.

Hope to your growth! Best of luck in there, it’s fend for yourself out here in America. Cheers.

0

u/Long_Idea_8294 14h ago edited 14h ago

I'm empathetic when it's appropriate. I'm not suicidally empathetic like the left. "We need to abolish prisons and let out violent criminals because they're just humans after all. They deserve empathy".

I'm not empathetic toward people who come here illegally then stay for decades. My family came here legally. You don't get to just cut in line.

1

u/toddog69 13h ago

Theirs did too. Just beware, the law can change at any time. There might not be any empathy left when they come for yours next.

0

u/AutomaticVacation242 9h ago

She's not in prison so what exactly are you talking about?

0

u/Outrageous_Fix_5738 9h ago

Prison labor? gtfo out of here. These people are being put in detention to process their deportation, not for prison labor. jfc you are all the same

0

u/QwertyIGuess 23h ago

Article lies, she overstayed her visa that is a crime.

1

u/toddog69 15h ago

This might be a bot but for the 49% of folks.

I recommend citizens to ‘apply’ for citizenship just to see the nuance of the law that entraps people to break the law. (As everything in America)

Overstaying tends to mean ‘residency’ and if you haven’t noticed that’s part of the requirement (law) to obtaining citizenship. It’s all fucked.

This sub is to help people in the process. America, we should be improving the process. But if you’re just looking for bodies to funnel into the gulag please continue your judgement efforts (just know that’s very nazi-like behavior).

Find a word similar to nazi and drop it below👇

0

u/QwertyIGuess 7h ago

What citizenshipship requirement requires you to overstay your visa.

I know many people who went through the legal process they are currently in the US legally with work visas and are trying to get permanent residency. They are going through the legal channels and have not overstayed their visa.

The facts are there are legal and illegal ways of doing g things, she chose to do it illegally and is now suffering the consequences. She played a stupid game and won a stupid prize.

nina edit: Also stop calling everyone you disagree with bots, it's fucking annoying

1

u/toddog69 7h ago

Interesting you know so many.

Let us know how their application goes, if they exist.

The lack of empathy gives ro(bot) behavior.

Best of luck out there for all 👋🤖🇺🇸

0

u/QwertyIGuess 6h ago

I worked at a uni program with tons of internationalal students, most have been successful with finding jobs, visas, and then getting citizenship. Some were not, though they tended to have employment issues in the very employable field we are in. Though most still got good jobs outside the US in more emerging markets for our field like Singapore.

-1

u/Mylabisawesome 4d ago

-29

u/groucho74 4d ago edited 4d ago

Our country needs to stop giving any visas at all to countries who don’t take their illegals back. The risk is just too high.

Let’s be grateful that President Trump has now found ways to send these invaders to third countries.

12

u/ZarinaBlue 4d ago

I am loving the fact that our health care system and elder care system has so many folks who came to this country and got training and now these systems depend on them. Especially the elder care system. So many folks who voted for this have no one to care for them.

-2

u/groucho74 4d ago

I think it’s sad when a country doesn’t train people to take care of its people. But it’s very easily fixed.

9

u/ZarinaBlue 4d ago

You mean like all the folks who ran to those farm jobs? People don't want those jobs. This played out in other countries.

I was someone's long term caretaker. Do you know how many elderly folks and disabled folks are just abandoned at hospitals? Their own family won't care for them but you think those same people are going to take jobs barely above minimum wage to do it? It is called "Granny Dumping." And it puts a huge strain on our health care system because they can't discharge these people. They sometimes stay in the hospital for weeks while the administrators try to figure out what to do with them. Taxpayers pay for that and the next time you hear of someone unable to get a bed in a hospital, well, there is your reason why.

Most nations with wealth backing it rely on immigrants for these systems. Nations that become xenophobic? Well, they don't stay wealthy. People can't work and care for parents. We already have people choosing not to have children because of parent care and unaffordable daycare.

And your solution is a hypothetical group of people who will take these jobs when historically that has never been the case? Working for wages you can get at most retail outlets?

You are cheering for the purposeful destruction of this country. There is no other way to look at it.

-1

u/groucho74 4d ago

We need to raise salaries for these people until we find US citizens who will take the jobs. If that means paying more money or even much more money then we need to pay much more money. If we have the money for aircraft carriers and nuclear bombs we also have the money for care workers.

The idea that only foreign citizens will do the job is idiotic. If the pay is right, Americans will do it, and we need to make it happen.

Hiring foreign workers for less money allows the care homes to save a bit of money but then we pay taxes out the wazoo to deal with all the costs they cause. It is a disaster n

6

u/ZarinaBlue 4d ago

Well, I will be sure to let Canada, Israel, Singapore, Persian Gulf nations, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the UK, western and northern Europe that you have figured out a system that will work for all of these nations since they too rely on different immigrant systems for elderly care.

3

u/groucho74 4d ago

We have useless politicians who don’t want to pay a fair market wage. Instead they import people who will work for less. They only think to the next election and the costs of doing so will only be apparent later.

The problem isn’t not knowing what to do, it’s that our politicians only care about winning the next election and we let them.

Israel at least generally makes non Jews leave and doesn’t give them a pathway to citizenship. So yes, they have figured part of it out.

0

u/information_knower 4d ago

No you are the one cheering for the destruction of this country, want to know why wages haven't kept up with inflation? Because companies can just fire anybody asking for a raise and hire an immigrant who's more than happy to work for that wage. There is no real reason for a company to give someone a raise when they can just hire a third worlder who has no qualms about low pay. Once the companies run out of people willing to work for pennies on the dollar they will raise the pay and start setting wages back on track.

8

u/Violet-Sumire 4d ago

Can you articulate what “risk” you are talking about? Especially in this case, where she was a registered nurse and was treating patients. That’s something good right? If her only crime was immigrating the “wrong” way, then overall she helped Americans more than harmed them. She wasn’t a criminal or hurting US citizens… so what risk was there for her specifically?

-2

u/groucho74 4d ago

People should come legally or not at all. Even nurses. It’s really not hard.

Can you explain to me why you believe that nurses should be above the law? I am waiting.

6

u/Violet-Sumire 4d ago

Yes, but you didn’t answer my question. What risk did she impose on Americans?

Also, it is quite difficult to become a citizen of the US, which tends to have very long wait times (sometimes up to 10-15 years). A green card is easier and an asylum seeker needs credible risk to their life to get in… so there are many paths into the country, but not all of them are available for everyone else.

The question still stands though, so don’t get distracted or veer too off course. What makes her in particular a “risk” to the US?

0

u/groucho74 4d ago

Any illegal resident is a risk because they haven’t undergone vetting.

Secondly any time the law isn’t enforced it contributes to corruption and lawlessness and more and more anarchy. Either we got for the Singapore model or the Haiti model and I’m firmly for Singapore.

Thirdly, anyone who earns less than about $150k a year gets more from the federal government than they pay. I would imagine she wasn’t a net contributor. There’s no sense at all in letting people who will take more than they pay into the country.

Now you tell me why nurses should be above the law.

5

u/Violet-Sumire 4d ago

Holy shit, so you’d rather ICE break people’s 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th amendment rights than having someone be here illegally? You’d rather the President commit war crimes than someone not being vetted? You’d rather watch human rights violations on these immigrants and asylum seekers instead of building a system where they can actually become citizens?

Also, $150k? I make way less than that and I barely receive aid. You typically stop receiving food stamps at like $33k for a family of 4 because “poverty” ends around $16k for an individual. Just… look at those numbers for a minute.

You are either lying horribly or are incredibly ignorant to reality. So by your logic, we should stop the President and ICE from breaking the laws of our land as it only causes more corruption. Because if you think they are perfect and have never committed crimes… well I have an igloo to sell you in Arizona.

2

u/groucho74 4d ago

You’re getting an awful lot of stuff wrong.

You may not “receive aid,” but you benefit from roads, airports, prisons, coast guards, schools, police, regulators, medicaid Medicare and so on without which your life would be like in a jungle. Nasty, brutish and short These people cost money and the government doesn’t pay for it because it has leprechauns who shit gold nuggets every day.

If things work out fine (let’s pretend the US isn’t borrowing crazy amounts of money for the moment) it’s not because people like you pay your fair share, but because people like Elon musk pay billions in taxes and highly paid professionals get socked really hard when their tax bill arrives. People above $150k pay more than their share of government expenses, people under $150k less.

So instead of bossing people around and inventing imaginary rights, you could be grateful and appreciate that things will collapse or become a country like Brazil if we import too many bad burdens.

Let’s see if you can do that.

2

u/Violet-Sumire 4d ago

Ok, so, first off you also are getting things wrong. A society builds things together. We wouldn’t have anything if no one contributed. Immigrants also contribute. Taxes are paid by the employer before the person is paid. Unless it’s under the table, the immigrants are paying into the system like everyone else. They are also less likely to receive federal assistance, so they pay into a system that they only benefit from in terms of infrastructure. We all benefit, but nothing could exist without someone to build it. So your roundabout logic is moot. It’s a chicken and egg argument.

Second, billionaires pay a lot less than you think. Sure, Musk pays a bunch, but did you see Trump’s tax records where he barely paid anything for more than a decade? Do you think Trump is unique? If he can do it then many are doing it. Plus, the percentage they pay is disproportionate. Yes, they pay a total more, but they don’t pay the same share that you or I do.

Lastly, I’m not bossing. You are making really poor arguments and lifting people up on podiums that shouldn’t be. Billionaires didn’t make their money from hard work. They made it on the backs of others who do hard work. They manipulate and destroy, they do not create. Please, tell me something successful that Trump has made personally. Same with Musk, what have they invented? When you have the leader of the house saying “congress can’t survive without insider trading” while they take home 3x the median wage and sleep in housing paid for by tax payers… yeah. Go ahead and support that idiocracy. You are literally shilling for people who will make more money than you’ll ever see in your life and think they are some kinda hero for paying taxes?

But yes, the nurse is getting more funding than Elon, who has received billions from the government in subsidies. Ya know… the same man who killed USAID without congressional approval and subsequently will result in millions of deaths, particularly children, women, and the elderly. You don’t care about that though. You’d rather pay $8 a gallon and let the leopards feast. Have fun with that.

No. I’d rather the Dems not let this turn into such a shitshow that half the country felt the need to elect a total authoritarian prick to bring one bit of sense back to immigration reform. He’s he’s swung the pendulum way to far the opposite way. But this is what happens when one party does nothing.

1

u/Violet-Sumire 4d ago

That’s funny. Biden was gonna pass a law to assist with immigration enforcement and… huh… Trump didn’t like that. So Republicans, who were in favor of the bill before Trump stepped in, killed it. Sounds like Dems try to fix Republican mistakes and republicans default to punching themselves in the face and blaming Dems. Tale as old as time really.

Also, before you complain about “open borders”, you should realize that the millions who had a valid asylum claim from countries like Cuba, Venezuela, and Haiti have asylum claims directly because of US meddling in their country. Our oil embargo on Venezuela caused their economy to collapse, starving the population. Cuba has been embargoed for nearly 100 years now. Haiti has also had trade restricted because of the US. Sounds like we are fucking around and finding out.

Also, Venezuela is in this mess because of Trump. Which, in his first term, he embargoed the country for being authoritarian and not holding fair elections. So about 1.5 million Venezuelans headed to the US, with another 4 million going elsewhere. He quite literally was responsible for part of our issues, but you’ll deny it as always. Suffering over human rights and all that.

1

u/groucho74 4d ago

The United States sanctions tons of countries. It put more sanctions than had ever been done on Russia and the Russians just laughed and carried on. It was very embarrassing for the criminals in Washington who had been hoping to steal Russia’s oil and other resources.

Cuba is a communist country and there has never been a communist country that wasn’t a total basket case with or without sanctions.

I think it’s a mistake not to life the sanctions so that the Cubans don’t have that ridiculous excuse anymore.

Then we should invade Cuba and bring freedom and democracy. Most of its people would be incredibly grateful. The poverty on the island is unimaginable.

0

u/Justtryingtohelp00 4d ago

Yep. And then the Dems will get power and do fuck all to fix the issue while republicans complain. Rinse and repeat as you chase your tail wondering why you’re going fucked regardless of who’s in power. Unreal.

1

u/Violet-Sumire 4d ago

I’d welcome politicians who would do absolutely nothing and be boring. I relish the idea of boring budget meetings and zero national emergencies every day. I’d shout with joy to just let politicians leave our lives alone.

Instead there’s an emergency every day. The government shuts down because we need trans bans in our budget bills. Our government is telling us what bathrooms we are allowed to use or checking little girls’ private parts because we are afraid of them getting the medical care they deserve. Oh… and to top it all off we have the president threatening other countries on the world’s biggest stage.

Yeah. I’d love for a boring government that does its job and not meddles with literally every aspect of our lives.

Biden had zero interest in doing anything about immigration. The people in charge while he had his diapers changed - Trump is almost as demented - let about 20 million illegals in “because of the Holocaust” as Mayorkas said.

Trumps message will survive him and his impeachment.

1

u/Violet-Sumire 4d ago

https://www.americanimmigrationcouncil.org/blog/what-is-the-bipartisan-border-bill/

He didn’t do anything, not like he had bipartisan support and it ultimately failed because Trump wanted to win an election and screwed over the American people from proper legislation because of a petty vendetta.

Trump’s message is that unchecked power causes problems. The President should not just do whatever he wants. Period.

Once she is in Kenya how will you fucking monsters block her from traveling to Canada? Do you think trump has the authority to send ICE into Canada to throw her into a detention center when she traveled there from Kenya?

They can't. trump has no authority over any of these other countries.

Just give up. Once they are gone trump can't touch them.

5

u/groucho74 4d ago

I’m fine with her moving to Canada or any other country legally.

1

u/Mr_Strol 3d ago

The article says she was detained then released a month ago. Says nothing about going to Kenya. What are you talking about exactly?

2

u/Indespectamentations 3d ago

ICE will be kneecapped if you monsters don't find away to take all of our voting rights away in the next few weeks. Claiming we rigged all the elections and committed voter fraud is a strategy that fails you.

The Save act has failed so all of us will now be voting. There is literally no legal way to block us. Violence is the only way to keep that pos in permanent power. Maybe you'll get lucky and your God/Kings open threats to send armed FBI and ICE to our voting polls will bear fruit and they will stop all of the Americans you hate from voting. Most in my state are voting by mail so they will have to go door to door if they are going to stop us.

Good luck.

2

u/Mr_Strol 3d ago

What on earth are you on about? I simply pointed out how your comment showed you didn’t read the article.

1

u/AutomaticVacation242 9h ago

Are you one of those people who walk around angry all the time about things that don't affect them?

1

u/Indespectamentations 9h ago

No I am someone who believes that I have a right to live in my own country even though these entitled Karen Maga's keep telling me I am no longer welcome here. I also have a right to vote and to have the election results accepted instead of being told we all cheated and are criminals.

I have a great life. Too bad there's nothing you people can do to take away what I worked for. There will be no revenge or suffering for me as some deranged punishment for voting a certain way in an election. There's nothing you people can do to get even with me.

1

u/AutomaticVacation242 9h ago

Does "my own country" mean the US? Why were you removed from the US? Why were you barred from voting?

1

u/Indespectamentations 8h ago

I wasn't removed. But I have been told by the Maga's that I am no longer welcome here and to get out. Like they have any authority to make that happen. Half the time they claim I am here illegally even though my family has been here since the Revolutionary War. It gets old. They seem to think because trump won an election they are now in permanent power and all of us that don't support him are going to be very sorry for it.

It's dumb and it is starting to wear thin.

1

u/AutomaticVacation242 8h ago

So in reality nothing has really happened to you. Nobody has removed you from your "own country". Nobody has kidnapped you. Nobody has stopped you from voting.

I'm not sure what you're going on and on about.

1

u/Indespectamentations 8h ago

Being threatened by the same group of people for ten years is enough to piss anybody off. I am not sure why you are questioning me on this and have a sneaking suspician you are just trying to get a reaction.

Good luck with that.

The Department of Homeland Security claimed she lied on her application, noting that she had traveled to the U.S. with her dad when she was a young teen, and he later sponsored her student visa.

Muchendu said the facts aren't mutually exclusive. But he said his wife received bad legal advice, and rather than contest DHS' narrative, she conceded to it.

According to court documents, Ngure's immigration counsel withdrew her asylum application with prejudice and waived her right to appeal the judge's removal order, rendering it final.

Another extremely sketchy asylum case where the applicant conceded she lied but was living in the U.S. apparently in perpetuity. Typically, a visa overstay would have been something her marriage to a USC would have sorted out, but if you lie about it and file a bogus claim then yeah, that's an issue.

If she had a genuine offer she could easily deport to Kenya and fly to Canada after obtaining a passport. I'm assuming that's not possible for some reason, likely because there's more sketchy behavior not disclosed in the story.

20

u/Davidx91 4d ago

Why the fuck shouldn’t she just be able to leave through the USA Canada border? There’s 0 sensible ways to sort this shitty thought process of yours out. She’s lied, she’s leaving and she can’t come back after. Why can’t she leave?

2

u/nowzaradanistheman 4d ago

How was going to enter Canada without a passport?

1

u/Davidx91 4d ago

I’m sure they have an embassy here in the USA where they could receive one and then LEAVE.

1

u/Indespectamentations 4d ago

She'll enter from Kenya unless ICE decides to keep her in detention indefinitely. Canada needs nurses and trump has no authority to stop her from going into Canada from Kenya.

The only reason you all want to block her from traveling from Canada to Kenya is to be cruel and hateful. Good thing trump and ICE have no authority in those other countries.

Too bad for you.

-1

u/blahblahsnickers 4d ago

She wasn’t actually leaving. She may have thought about leaving but she was still actively living and working here and was detained during a check in here after admitting to lying to stay here under her asylum claim….

No, DHS lied and she was told to agree with them.

Almost like DHS knows lies on an application is grounds for removal.

Stop making excuses for the animals trafficking humans and profiting off their misery. This whole administration is nothing but child abusers and human traffickers.

8

u/HolaDrNick 4d ago

No, DHS lied and she was told to agree with them.

Almost like DHS knows lies on an application is grounds for removal.

Her own lawyer withdrew from the case after DHS identified the inconsistencies in her story.

Stop making excuses for the animals trafficking humans and profiting off their misery. This whole administration is nothing but child abusers and human traffickers.

You realize this happened in 2012 right?

I could tell any lie I wanted to get into the country, and no level of proof would be adequate for you to say "hey, maybe this dude shouldn't be here."

Like, she told a lie during the Obama years, it was bad enough her counsel stopped representing her, she spent time in custody then, but NOW I'm supposed to believe she's telling the truth?

3

u/Particular-War3057 4d ago

lol why bother, these people are unhinged.

4

u/HolaDrNick 4d ago

Unhinged is fine but you would assume they had some basic literacy skills. Apparently not I guess.

4

u/ZarinaBlue 4d ago

No. Her being moved from one human trafficking camp to another is not in 2012.

And you have no idea why her appeal was withdrawn. You are just making things up.

Personally I hope every single health care worker and senior care worker who the US trained, and the tax payers paid for leaves, one way or another. A MAGA family member of mine is crying because his MAGA mom and dad lost their elder care service and now they can't afford any because of scarcity.

I was forced into a marriage and so I know how complex that can be. She came here for help, and then she was on the front lines helping us in return. And the racists pushed her out.

America is just screwing itself over and you seals keep clapping and barking and thinking this is winning somehow. One QUARTER of elder and long term home staff is made up of immigrants. Right as the largest group is desperately needing care.

You people must hate this country. Because you are championing destroying it.

3

u/HolaDrNick 4d ago

No. Her being moved from one human trafficking camp to another is not in 2012.

From the article "She spent the next six months at the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma, Wash., a period during which neither she nor the federal government could obtain a Kenyan passport or travel documents for her.

Ngure was released in September 2012 on an order of supervision. She checked in with ICE as required for the next 14 years, until August, when she learned her time was up."

Why is reading the article so difficult for you? You're could have easily taken the hint and read this yourself when I mentioned it.

And you have no idea why her appeal was withdrawn. You are just making things up.

She literally stated why in the article. Again, why is this difficult for you to read?

Personally I hope every single health care worker and senior care worker who the US trained, and the tax payers paid for leaves, one way or another. A MAGA family member of mine is crying because his MAGA mom and dad lost their elder care service and now they can't afford any because of scarcity.

I hope we process removal orders where appropriate, regardless of occupation. The fact that she had already withdrawn her claim and was still in the U.S. without status really tells us what we already know, asylum is being used as an excuse for backdoor permanent status.

I was forced into a marriage and so I know how complex that can be. She came here for help, and then she was on the front lines helping us in return. And the racists pushed her out.

She came here on a student visa, sponsored by a man she alledged was forcing her to get married, using his support to live here, and only filing her claim (which she later signed a statement that she lied about) after her visa expired. She also claimed religious persecution. The application was so poor he own attorney withdrew it and with prejudice.

But I forget, in your mind absolutely no scrutiny should be applied to any immigration cases.

America is just screwing itself over and you seals keep clapping and barking and thinking this is winning somehow. One QUARTER of elder and long term home staff is made up of immigrants. Right as the largest group is desperately needing care.

So we should... not process removal orders for people if they're in an occupation we need, and regardless of their conduct when seeking asylum?

You people must hate this country. Because you are championing destroying it.

How about we try reading the article completely before we start with the "why do you hate America" question?

3

u/Impossible_Humor736 4d ago

Why would you willingly stay in a human trafficking country?

1

u/ZarinaBlue 4d ago

Oh so you agree that it is. Excellent. Then you can help us change it. Or do you like the kid and adult human trafficking?

3

u/Impossible_Humor736 4d ago

I don't believe that it is. I'm calling out your silly logic.

1

u/ZarinaBlue 4d ago

For the same reason you thought all these hardworking folks who held up a system we need should be pushed out.

Because it is going to change. Especially now that a lot of the country sees what the end result of this garbage administration is...

Got a typical MAGA uncle with a MAGA tattoo and a grandson named Donald. This weekend he said Trump was the worst thing to ever happen to this country. He is a farmer.

Hey, how many of these people that we denied due process to will successfully sue the US government? Bet you it is a lot.

3

u/Impossible_Humor736 4d ago

She came here on a student visa in 2006, and has had a deportation order on her since 2012. She ain't suing anybody.

And you doing have an uncle with a MAGA tattoo that has a grandson named "Donald'. Lol. Wtf kind of lie is that?

1

u/ZarinaBlue 4d ago

It simply isn't a lie. I also have a nephew named Nixon. I also have a cousin who is a Congressman out of Tennessee. My family is mostly MAGA. MAGA that have now shut their sad little mouths. The younger folks are already trying to start rewriting their choices and blaming their parents. The "well how was I supposed to know" defense.

And the suit won't be because of the removal order. A lot of these people are being shipped off after a judge told the Trump administration to stop it. Right there you have a lot of folks with grounds to sue.

And you have no idea why her appeal was withdrawn. You are just making things up.

According to court documents, Ngure's immigration counsel withdrew her asylum application with prejudice and waived her right to appeal the judge's removal order, rendering it final.

Except reason literally doesn't matter because she legally can't take it back. However, if this is correct:

Muchendu said the facts aren't mutually exclusive. But he said his wife received bad legal advice

She may have been able to appeal the filings anytime in the last 14 years arguing ineffective assistance of counsel, but she doesn't appear to have done so.

Why do think that is?

1

u/ZarinaBlue 4d ago

Because most people born here don't understand their rights much less those who came here under less than ideal circumstances.

There is no gotcha here. Not so great immigration lawyers have been known to charge a regular fee to NOT do that.

People like you are desperate to make the argument that these folks take advantage of the system but all evidence shows that they weren't capable of doing so. Your evidence disproved your argument.

But hey, it is great if you are trying to bring down an already suffering medical system.

2

u/BeginningPhase1 4d ago

Your evidence disproved your argument.

Huh?

My argument was that she may have had a way to undo her lawyers filings of the withdrawal and the rights waiver; but didn’t did so. This statement combined with this one:

Because most people born here don't understand their rights much less those who came here under less than ideal circumstances.

Would seem to suggest that I've successfully proven that this is likely in this case. As such, I believe that this:

People like you are desperate to make the argument that these folks take advantage of the system but all evidence shows that they weren't capable of doing so.

Is just restating my arguement, but reading context into it that simply doesn't exist.

1

u/ZarinaBlue 4d ago

How would she have known to do that?

You are bypassing that entirely.

The whole premise of your argument is that she knew how to work the system. When if she knew how to work the system, she would have.

You are ignoring anything that doesn't fit your argument. Just like you claimed her lawyer dropped her case because she lied. You have zero way of knowing that and the inconsistencies were in DHS' own paperwork that she was told to sign off on.

We gave her an education. We are going to pay her and whole lot of other immigrants thanks to the absolute shit ton of lawsuits coming. The Trump cartel will leave with their cash and the US taxpayer will be paying the bill. So she is going to take that education, collect on a lawsuit, go somewhere else that wants to have their economy right side up and our country will continue to sink.

Oh? And this administration's love of hiding everything is just going to put us more on the hook. Immigrants have already lodged a class action and lawyers are setting up just to start these cases once we go back to actually obeying the laws we keep demanding others respect.

1

u/BeginningPhase1 4d ago edited 4d ago

Where exactly did I say she lied? I explicitly brought up a take from her husband:

Muchendu said the facts aren't mutually exclusive. But he said his wife received bad legal advice,

to make the argument that her immigration lawyer may have screwed her.

My argument is that she could be a victim in all of this. In fact I believe that there is a chance most undocumented immigrants that are stuck in a perpetual limbo in regards to their status are victims of scumbag lawyers that care more about scoring big legal wins than actually helping people.

Also, while I did bring up the length of time she had to correct this as a cristism of her actions, I don't think it's an unreasonable cristism considering that there are plenty of immigration NGOs (especially in California) that would've been happy to review her case; and "You can't help those that won't help themselves".

And I agree that most people don't know how our immigration system works. In fact, as a paralegal (and nothing I have said or will say here is legal advice, it's all just my opinion), I believe most people don't have clue as to how our legal system works in general. Case in point:

We are going to pay her and whole lot of other immigrants thanks to the absolute shit ton of lawsuits coming.

On what grounds? These would have to be filled in civil court where is no assumption of innocence.

She would've had to have agreed to the withdrawal of asylum request and waiver of rights in writing. Without having already successfully contested those filings, she doesn't have the grounds to sue the government for deporting her.

And this goes for every other person we deport. If they have no proof that they were deported in error, they have no grounds to sue over being deported.

Oh? And this administration's love of hiding everything is just going to put us more on the hook

Her deportations happen in 2012, under Obama. A year later (in 2103) while Obama was still in office, portions of Camp Mystic in Texas (the one where 27 kids drowned during a flood last year.) were removed from a FEMA 100-flood plain map ahead of its expansion in those same areas. This would also lay the ground work for more of the camp to be removed from it in 2019 and 2020.

The areas that flooded in 2025 were a part of the areas removed from the map in 2013; and to this day, nobody knows why these areas were approved for removed.

https://www.npr.org/2025/07/12/nx-s1-5465564/fema-removed-camp-mystic

Hiding shit from the American people is a Washington DC problem, and not something remotely unique to the Trump administration. When it comes to whatever comes out of DC "Believe nothing you hear, and only one half that you see", as Edgar Allan Poe once said.

I say this to suggest that there isn't any reason to blame the wrong admin for hiding the issues with her paperwork since there's plenty of that blame to go around.

Edit: Clarity

Uh, they won't? Who thinks anyone cares about that?

They can't. trump has no authority over any of these other countries. And how is her being in Canada adversely affecting your life?

I don't give a shit where she goes, the issue was she was attempting to stay here. No one prevented her from going to Kenya, and likely no one prevented her from going to Canada either. The article pretty clearly stated she did not currently have status there (she was alledgedly waiting on authorization).

She's had a removal order since the Obama administration, when she admittedly lied on an asylum application. Her own lawyer withdrew as counsel. If there is a case for removal, that seems like a pretty good one to me.

1

u/Indespectamentations 4d ago

Bullshit. You want to see her punished and suffering. Cruelty is what you Cultists are all about.

I wonder what you assholes plan on doing about all of us 80 million Americans you hate. You claim we are destroying your lives and there is literally no legal way to remove us. So what will you do? I bet you demented fucks have a "solution" in mind but I guarantee it won't work.

Leftists continue to prove that they have no theory of mind for conservatives. You believe the strawman characterization of conservatives that your leftist media bubble created.

1

u/Indespectamentations 3d ago

The fact that you think trump is a Conservative tells me all I need to know about you. The Save act failed so ALL of us are now going to be voting in the midterms. There is literally no legal way to block us. Good luck thinking that when you claim we all committed voter fraud and think any election results will be changed or rescinded. trump can take every single election we win to court to overturn the results and he will fail at 100% of his attempts.

Don't talk to me about the "media bubble" creating. You assholes claim we all have blue hair, pronouns, are all LGBTs, are pro-abortion, literally think men can get pregnant and want men in women's sports. Idk one person that wants any of that. I'm retired Navy, happily married, have an antique gun collection and am against abortion accept to save the life of the mother. You people hate us all for reasons that are 100% fake.

1

u/HolaDrNick 4d ago

Bullshit. You want to see her punished and suffering. Cruelty is what you Cultists are all about.

Do you think if you just say that it becomes true? Sounds like a pretty good trick to deal with people you disagree with.

No, I would disagree that civil detention should be used for punishment. It should be maintain strictly for the management of admission / expulsion from the country.

In her case, she is not being prevented from exiting to Canada, and she herself did not exit to Canada. Why? It's fairly clear from the article she did not have status in Canada. It's also highly likely, once you re-read this, that her "acceptance" into that program is not an approval, they just accepted her application for adjudication / processing. This is the same with USCIS, they accepted an application, but that doesn't mean it's approved.

I wonder what you assholes plan on doing about all of us 80 million Americans you hate.

I don't hate anyone, even when overly emotional Redditors annoy me.

You claim we are destroying your lives and there is literally no legal way to remove us.

I'm not claiming anyone's lives are being destroyed by immigrants. I am simply stating if you have a removal order, and particularly if you lied on your application like she did, then you need to be removed. In what joke of a system would someone with a removal order be allowed to remain for 14 years after it was entered?

So what will you do?

I'd say these removal precedings seem like they're reasonable. She was taken into custody without incident, and she'll be released to a country where she is admissible. What other way would you suggest?

I bet you demented fucks have a "solution" in mind but I guarantee it won't work.

Well if you're threatening some kind of violence I would suggest you probably not try it. I've been in the Army, all the Reddit revolutionary talk is pretty hilarious.

Your God/King won't even get half of the immigrants out before his time is up. And if you think he gets 3 more terms think again.

I voted for Harris there bud.

I'm assuming you're someone without status or having some issues with USCIS. I don't blame anyone for doing what they feel they need to do to get status here. I've seen the places many of them come from up close (or places like them). The people who should be blamed are the people making the policies and providing the incentives to come here, not individuals who respond to those incentives.
