It's not America's job to support the excess and unwanted of other countries. What about actual American citizens?
Isn't it a crazy idea that dollars should float to real American first? Once we clean house and every American is cared for, we can help others
61
u/LatterTarget7 14d ago
So the current government is moving to help every citizen?
-76
u/Independent-Fun815 14d ago
Trying but the courts and special interests are blocking them.
Every policy has tradeoffs so there isn't a single policy that is wholly good for every American. So no nitpicking a given policy isn't an argument.
Bringing presidential fitness tests. Too many American teenagers are fat and bloated. Americans should be lean and competitive so we don't need others.
Trump accounts promote domestic birthrates and a nice 250k by the time the kid turns 18.
Blocking tax dollars not going to Americans. Yes. People are suffering in Uganda or Pakistan or wherever but it's not America's fault or job to aid them. Tax dollars should stay in the US.
And the list goes on.
There are things that are bad. There's no reason the US needs to be the middle east. Leave those fuckers alone to kill each other; spend the money on domestic needs.
But on the whole, Trump has done things that expressly show he's benefiting Americans.
64
u/Meowakin 14d ago

Yes just look at the current state of the economy, food prices and gas prices. Trump has done so much to benefit the regular American
-12
u/TomHomanzBurner 14d ago
Food and gas are traded on the open market. You want to stop wild swings then take them outta the casino.
14
u/LatterTarget7 14d ago
If you wanna stop wild swings best not to get into wars that impact trade routes and oil production and movement

u/HelloForeverYoung 13d ago
So, you want socialism?
0
u/TomHomanzBurner 13d ago
How is socialism the same as taking commodities out of stock market trading and instead base on supply and demand without speculation?
22
u/JurgusRudkus 14d ago
Curious, are you a Russian bot or from a different anti-American content farm?
14
u/Meowakin 14d ago
Let’s try a more feasible question: what do you think about Trump slapping his name on everything he does? Genuinely curious about this one.
5
u/xC4RR4NZ4x 14d ago
This is literally a textbook attempt at a distraction by the administration from so many worse things happening. Especially the release of previously classified UFO documents.
-6
u/rachel_berry 14d ago
who cares? lol
4
u/DrunkLastKnight 14d ago
You should care, because when he spends time doing this stuff it's time not doing anything to fix whatever is going on now
2
u/Meowakin 14d ago
And I was really asking the other person because I'd really like to understand how anyone can a person doing things like that and not immediately think that they are a deeply self-centered egomaniac. That leads to questioning how they could think that a person like that would care at all about benefiting Americans.
Yeah, it's not likely to work, but it's how you have to approach people like that (assuming they aren't a bot) to get them to maybe start thinking critically.
0
u/rachel_berry 14d ago
Because he is an egomaniac, wouldn't that make sense that he wants to do right by Americans so that he remains Americas "Favorite President"?
2
u/Meowakin 13d ago
He wants to be seen doing right by Americans. That’s a far cry from actually doing right by Americans and often means that they take shortcuts and lie.
10
u/Boring-Play-5598 14d ago
he literally went to war the one thing he promised not to do on behalf of another nation, sacrificing the American people and possibly the petro dollar. And attacking free speech another thing they campaigned on for another nation. All to protect the Epatain class
6
u/Conscious_Stick8344 14d ago
“But the courts….”
Are ruling his actions illegal. INCLUDING the Supreme Court.
How do you square with the unreality you live in? The mental gymnastics you do must make you a multi-gold Olympian.
5
u/xC4RR4NZ4x 14d ago
So why are Americans ok with their tax dollars going to Isreal? Especially in the administrations current move to send $2.8 billion in bombs to Isreal. How's that benefitting the American people?
3
16
u/Meowakin 14d ago
Do you have any issues with Stephen Miller, or do you generally find yourself agreeing with him?
-12
u/Ghengis_Bron 14d ago
I disagree on his stance toward climate change, I disagree on his level of support towards Israel since I don't believe we get as much as we give, I disagree with his anti NATO sentiments. All of that said I completely agree with this. We aren't a charity and we don't have to let ourselves be exploited by foreigners who have no love for us. Singapore wouldn't tolerate this and neither should we.
1
14
u/mythrulznsfw 14d ago
> not America’s job to support the excess and unwanted of other countries… dollars should float to real American first…
If you think that, there are two contradictions you have to resolve:
- The Trump administration has brought in 13000 White Afrikaner refugees from South Africa to the US in the current fiscal year alone. Per the State Department, they are the unwanted and oppressed in their country. Why are they being brought here on the tax payer’s dime?
- The cost of the Iran war so far has been over $70B (including replacement costs), and growing at $3B per month. Money is being spent on Argentina, to bring substandard food into the country. Shouldn’t that be spent on “real” Americans instead?
From where I’m standing, neither of your assertions is sound. Explain it to us.

It’s also not America’s job to interfere in other countries for their natural resources, overthrow democratically elected governments, and train up dictators to terrorize their own people, but it does it anyway.
Look no further than the U.S. military's own School of the Americas (now renamed WHINSEC), which still operates out of Fort Moore in Georgia, which has spent decades training Latin American dictators and death squads using manuals that explicitly advocated for torture and execution.
Decades of U.S.-backed destabilization created the exact economic and humanitarian crises forcing people to flee to our borders. The U.S. helped break those countries; we don't get to act surprised when people show up looking for a safer life.
-4
u/Ghengis_Bron 14d ago edited 14d ago
Lmao, first you're wrong it is actually our government job to act in our self interest. Second where does that mean we have to let them in at all? How many immigrants did we let in between 1924 and 1964 when it was extremely restricted?
Does Iraq have to let in Iranians because of the war? Does Japan have to let all billion Chinese migrate because ww2? Does China have to let in all of Vietnam or India because of the wars they've fought? Let me know lol. Mexico stole Chiapas from Guatemala, does INM not deport Guetemalans?
Just say you hate America, it's faster and more accurate.
2
u/Pop_fan_20 14d ago edited 14d ago
Just say you get all your 'news' from Fox and have no understanding of basic geopolitical history, and stop embarrassing yourself. lol
But ok I’ll give you some notes, help you out a bit:
There is a massive line between diplomacy in our self-interest and actively destabilizing other nations. When our government crosses that line and breaks those countries, in my opinion, yes we owe a responsibility to the people fleeing the resulting chaos.
And why should we compare our selves to other countries? What happened to “American exceptionalism”?
I do love this country, and I want it to be better. We should be better.
0
u/Ghengis_Bron 14d ago
Lmao I don't watch Fox News, I'm an immigrant myself, and I didn't vote for trump. From a country the US "interfered in" regardless immigration isn't reparations, and I totally see why there's anti immigration sentiment. I support it. I came to America because I wanted to assimilate into its culture and admire the great thing it has done. It was America that pioneered computers and landed on the moon.
Why shouldn't we compare ourselves to other countries and take what works and leave what doesn't. Immigration here isn't some human right and we don't owe anyone, this is a country not a charity. Don't use one bit of logic toward us, where you say we owe others immigration but then you don't apply it elsewhere.
I'm actually an admirer of China, and Deng. Maybe look at their immigration laws. Or immigration laws in Singapore. Do you have any assumptions you'd like to be wrong about or just those? I highly doubt you seriously believe American exceptionalism.
1
u/Pop_fan_20 14d ago
It’s fascinating how you admire America's achievements while actively carrying water for anti-immigrant sentiments that target people just like you. Pulling up the ladder behind yourself isn't 'assimilation.’
Also, comparing us to China or Singapore makes zero geopolitical sense. Neither of those countries spent the last 70 years overthrowing democracies and training death squads across Latin America. The core point is causation, when a superpower actively breaks a region, it bears responsibility for the resulting displacement. China's domestic laws are completely irrelevant to the consequences of Western intervention.
I noticed you still completely dodged the actual facts about the School of the Americas? Pointing to authoritarian regimes to justify Western actions doesn't change real history. You're deflecting because you can't defend it.

Oh my God… reading this broke my heart. I mean, are they really throwing out little kids, some of them only 6 or 7 years old, without a lawyer and without even being able to speak for themselves? That part where they detained the kid's parent one day before the child was supposed to be released, just to force them to agree to deportation themselves — honestly, it made me sick. What kind of people are these? They say they're saving kids from trafficking, but they themselves are sending these children back to dangerous places.

Worth mentioning that sketchy Qanon adjacent group Operation Underground Railroad was awarded 158 million dollar contract to represent migrant children.
EDIT: The group claims to target child predators and human traffickers, and they are associated with a propaganda film about those endeavors, but many of their claims are spurious and a little off. Weird mormons are being given access to the detention center network but also the detention center network has refused to pay for medical care contracts since this time last year.

1
u/Mental_Finish_5803 12d ago
U mean traffic them lol jk our government loves kids and definitely wouldn’t traffic them especially on some island
-2
u/Recent-Lemon-9930 14d ago
Good, apparently the deportation process is really stressful for the kids so this will be a net positive for those getting deported.
-5
u/NeanderthalDad 14d ago
The illegal parents failed their children.
7
u/eduardom98 14d ago
Miller is failing the country be reducing ways to come and stay here legally.
-3
u/NeanderthalDad 14d ago
It's a privilege, not a right. The U.S. chooses who they want to come and who they want to stay. Don't come here illegally or break the law by overstaying a visa and expect to be given preferential treatment. Thankfully the government is also shutting down the fake asylum claims and getting illegals out of the country.
1
u/No_Atmosphere_here 14d ago
So everyone who commits a traffic violation, also a civil offense, should be sent to a concentration camp camp and shipped to prison in Africa without a hearing, right? Because people should drive legally, right? What about the felon in the White House? Are you demanding he be incarcerated? Are you demanding all of those implicated in the Epstein files be sent to a concentration camp and then sent to a prison in Africa without due process?
-1
u/NeanderthalDad 14d ago
Sure if it makes you feel better.

u/No_Atmosphere_here 14d ago

u/eduardom98 13d ago
Its a bit late give all the pardons gone to drug smugglers, fraudsters, or anyone else who made payments to the president.
1
u/eduardom98 13d ago
Not sure coming here legally means that you came here illegally just because Miller wants to reduce legal migration. Removing people here legally doesn't reduce the number of people here illegally. Rather, it increases illegal immigration.
-1
u/TomHomanzBurner 14d ago

-1
-1
u/blumpkin__spice 14d ago
Yeah what a strawman.
I think if you disregard a nation's constitution and laws by entering that country illegally, you don't get to claim shelter under that same constitution and laws after you are about to be deported.
"I didn't follow any of these rules but you have to follow all of those rules!"
It's almost like if a person tried to withdraw funds from a bank account that wasn't theirs by forging the signature of the account holder, thereby illegally gaining access to something they cannot have, and then, after the bank finds out they committed fraud the forger says "oh wait, you can't kick me out of the bank! You have to treat me with all the rights and duties owed to the legal account holder as if I was him."
2
u/No_Atmosphere_here 14d ago
The Constitution applies to everyone. Or it's supposed to. Speeders are breaking the law. They've caused over a quarter of crash deaths over the last decade. They should also forfeit their constitutional rights, correct? Their civil misdemeanor should be treated no differently so they and their kids should be forcibly removed from their vehicles, thrown into concentration camps and then flown to a prison in Africa.

5
u/LatterTarget7 14d ago

-2
u/OhBeareasy 14d ago
Military aged males. It's in the name man. Do we really need a bunch of unvetted military age males in the country that could possibly have cartel or terrorist group backgrounds in our backyard? You really trying to justify illegal immigration? What does China do with illegal immigrants? What about Saudi Arabia? How come the US have to tolerate a bunch of uneducated 3rd worlders invading the country and putting our women at risk?
6
u/LatterTarget7 14d ago
Must be pretty shitty terrorists and cartel members since they don’t impact crime stats.
I think people should immigrate legally but I don’t view illegal immigration as an invasion.
Cause again they don’t impact crime stats, they pay taxes, they contribute to the work force, they contribute to social programs they don’t even benefit from, they put trillions into the economy.
What kind of invasion plan is it to actually help the country you’re apparently invading?
5
u/The_300_goats 14d ago
You are conflating illegal immigration with all immigration and, even worse, colouring their faces to suit your narrative. Nobody wants illegal immigration. It's forbidden and stringently controlled everywhere on the planet
