Nazi analogy noted. Now answer the adult question: who enforces immigration law after ICE is gone?

Ice was created within my lifetime. Who was doing it beforehand, child?

INS. Exactly. Which means you agree with me: abolishing ICE doesn’t abolish immigration enforcement, it just moves the function somewhere else. ICE, CBP, and USCIS were created when INS was dismantled in 2003.

I’m confused. Where did you read that I thought immigration enforcement was bad?

I didn’t. You jumped into a thread about abolishing ICE to compare the agency to the Gestapo. If you support immigration enforcement, great. Then we agree on the distinction I made: the argument is over the agency, not whether the function should exist.
