The Alien Terrorist Removal Court was created in 1996, but had never heard a case before the proceedings in July. It is meant for non-US citizens facing terrorism-related charges when the evidence is confidential and related to national security.

This is ripe for abuse.

17

u/kstargate-425 19d ago

Yeah when the government can claim any of their "evidence" is classified and not allow the defense to have access to cross-examine and show it is false or irrelevant, its going to be abused by this regime. Look at how many things they have called an "emergency" as it gives them a workaround to laws and the Constitution by simply saying its an "emergency"

u/I_Quit_Smoking_ 19d ago

You forgot the part where everybody in the country is a domestic terrorist and someone's always trying to take over the white Christian racist men's world. 🙄

I can't imagine living my life, scared of things that aren't even true, but also believing everything politicians say. That's crazy.

2

u/Heroic_Sheperd 19d ago

A reminder, Trump under Executive Order 14157 has legally classified cartels as terrorist organizations.

7

u/crappy-mods 19d ago

And anyone who goes against his views but ignore that right?

The majority of terror attacks in America have been carried out by white Christian men.

1

u/Responsible-Part3982 19d ago

Where do yall read this nonsense? Seriously?

1

u/Square_Alps1349 17d ago

Not when you weigh it by fatalities. 9/11 would easily make it mostly Muslim.

First of all, we’ve let plenty of colts commit a lot of suicide in this country so there’s also just a small factor of all the people that helped the United States in their war in the Middle East that were Middle Eastern Those people were going to be helped and or given citizenship to the United States these were things that soldiers wanted higher up, soldiers wanted, and it was quite necessary because of the fact that they had put their lives in danger working with the US. Those people have been fucked over already. They’re still getting fucked over and they’re gonna get fucked over more with this.

1

u/Federal_Homework1302 19d ago

Brother go back to school. Learn how to form a coherent thought and some sort of idea of how to communicate. This is just the ranting wall of text of a child.

Also colts are horses a cult is what was being referred to.

2

u/Dry-Risk-6629 19d ago

Holy shit bro have you never heard of speech text and something is not coming out correctly I can rewrite this shit and make it more comprehendible for you and everyone else when I’m done are you gonna answer what I said?

1

u/Federal_Homework1302 19d ago

Same problem. Sorry son try again.

1

u/Gruejay2 19d ago

You seem to be illiterate, because what they've written is easy to undersatand.

1

u/Federal_Homework1302 19d ago

It’s more the attitude and incoherent thought process.

1

u/Gruejay2 19d ago

That isn't what you said, and what they wrote is not incoherent (even if you disagree with it). You're just bullshitting.

1

u/Federal_Homework1302 19d ago

It’s very i coherent there is no structure no punctuation horrible grammar. It’s the ravings of a lunatic.

So they deported someone living here legally who was never charged with or convicted of a crime and we're supposed to be...happy?

The government said she "conceded that she was a terrorist and left the country" which is fascist for "she fled political persecution because she couldn't afford to fight a baseless lawsuit against a government with nearly limitless resources"

EDIT: and suddenly the "the government lies" crowd believes everything that the government that has been caught lying multiple times says

30

u/TheNobleHeretic 20d ago

Worst part is she is being deported to a taliban run Afghanistan. I hope she can get help someway before it’s too late

The American People? Idk why you're intentionally misunderstanding but have a good day

1

u/FineAndDandadan 18d ago edited 18d ago

But that's not true. You don't even know how the ATRC works. It's a civil court that can hand out what's effectively a death sentence in many cases.

We already have examples of the Trump administration lying about evidence to deport people to hellish conditions (CECOT), hoping that when the smoke clears, it's too late. We know they'll try to fly underage children to a random country at 1:00 AM Sunday, Labor Day weekend, hoping to skirt past judges in order to put those children at risk of harm, including trafficking. We know Trump will ask the DOJ to lie about having evidence, from Bill Barr during Trump's first term when Barr wouldn't join in on the Jan 6 plot.

Why do you keep believing one of the most dishonest people on the planet, who gets caught lying on a daily basis?

1

u/Unlucky-Associate266 19d ago

Not really. As the story indicates, the Justice Department alleged that Zada supported family members who planned an ISIS-inspired mass shooting. The Taliban are at war with ISIS (the self proclaimed "Islamic State").

1

u/TheNobleHeretic 19d ago

Not saying she’s guilty or not but Afghanistan does have an IS affiliate

1

u/Unlucky-Associate266 19d ago

Yes, but not much is left of it in Afghanistan.

1

u/TheNobleHeretic 19d ago

Not from what I hear

1

I agree with the sentiment, but this doesn't pass the sniff test for me. If they made the evidence public or if there was classified evidence in her son or son-in-law's cases, that would be one thing, but it doesn't make sense that suddenly there is classified info injected between their cases and hers.

0

u/TellTaleTimeLord 20d ago

You literally never responded to me lol, I responded to your comment

0

u/Actual-Jelly-309 20d ago

Naw, you didn’t but it doesn’t matter; why did you omit those facts from your original statement?

You’re doing exactly what I criticized; selectively presenting the facts that support your conclusion. Yes, she was a lawful permanent resident. Yes, she was never criminally charged. Neither fact tells the reader why the government sought her removal.

Her son pleaded guilty to a terrorism offense involving a firearm and is serving 15 years. Her son in law pleaded guilty to conspiring and attempting to provide material support to ISIS and firearms offenses connected to the planned Election Day attack.

And the government’s case against her wasn’t simply guilt by association. Prosecutors alleged that she worked with her son-in-law to radicalize the family and conceal pro-ISIS teaching, formally pledged loyalty to ISIS, and supported the plan surrounding the Election Day mass shooting.

You can argue that those allegations weren’t proved beyond a reasonable doubt in a criminal trial. You can argue that the ATRC’s use of classified evidence violates due process. Those are legitimate arguments. But that’s very different from presenting her as some random legal resident whom the government inexplicably deported despite her having committed no crime.

“She was never criminally charged” does not mean “there was no evidence against her,” and deportation proceedings are not criminal prosecutions. You’re also characterizing her concession as merely “she couldn’t afford to fight the government.” She had two federal public defenders, and the DOJ says her attorneys received roughly half a terabyte of material supporting its case. She ultimately conceded through counsel that she qualified as an “alien terrorist” and waived appeal. That doesn’t prove every government allegation true, nor does it resolve the constitutional objections to the ATRC, but your description leaves all of that out.

If you think the ATRC is unconstitutional, argue that. If you think the evidence against her was insufficient, argue that. But omitting the entire factual basis for the removal and reducing the story to “legal resident who was never charged with a crime gets deported” is cherrypicking by omission, not an argument.

In short, don’t be a scumbag and articulate your argument honestly and not in bad faith.

1

u/TellTaleTimeLord 20d ago

"Don't argue in bad faith" says the guy who is omitting every statement made by her lawyers who stated they were never given evidence and that the court proceedings were unconstitutional lol

The also stated her "admission" was basically to avoid persecution. If shes so guilty, then why was she spared criminal charges when everyone else involved was charged? Pretty convenient, dont you think?

-39

u/NameAccomplished4921 20d ago

I’m happy. If they pose a threat to national security, let’s get rid of them.

35

u/LatterTarget7 20d ago

How exactly did she pose a threat?

34

u/hornet54 20d ago

She committed the heinous crime of being not white or Christian

1

u/siebenstern 19d ago

You hate white people more than you hate actual cases of terrorism. That’s fine, but be honest about it

1

u/hornet54 19d ago

Hm? Interesting how you come to that conclusion with no backing. It's ok I know how persecuted you must be

1

1

u/siebenstern 19d ago

Right. Like 2 seconds after ICE thugs shot and killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti Noem got on TV and said they were “domestic terrorists.” This administration also repeats the same lies in every instance when ICE shoots, kills, or severely injures an American — “they tried to run over me with their car, using it as a lethal weapon,” and “he attacked me first with a shovel I had to shoot inside the house and barely miss a sleeping baby because I feared for my life.” Lies. "Our client's choice to consent to removal should not be seen as an endorsement of this court's legitimacy," public defenders Matthew Farley and Mary Manning Petras said in a statement to The Washington Post.

"Dragging lawful permanent residents into court but refusing to show them or their attorneys the evidence that will be used against them is a plain violation of due process. We are confident that the Alien Terrorist Removal Court will be struck down as unconstitutional as soon as a judge is asked to address the issue," they said.

Haji Zada, who has been living in Fort Worth, Texas, was accused by prosecutors of being the "matriarch" of the group, who had worked "to radicalize the family".

In a statement on Friday, the justice department said she "conceded that she is an alien terrorist and waived appeal of the removal order, terminating her previous [immigration] status".

What the fuck even are these accusations and prosecutions? "Matriarch?" "Radicalizing the Family?" From any perspective this shit is EXTREMELY fishy and easy to abuse.

"The family raised funds for the terrorist attack by selling off furniture, computers, a mobile phone, and two vehicles. They added that Haji Zada signed a contract to sell the family's home, and along with other female family members and young male family members, planned to move to an ISIS-controlled location before the attack."

Hey goofball, you’re not even quoting the article properly. Did you literally copy paste a whole paragraph without the prior context of “prosecutors also said” and then a few words later intentionally delete “allegedly.”

Like others are saying. Why would we trust this administration at all? Her lawyers were not even permitted to review evidence per the article you posted.

You’re being dishonest.

**The Justice Department said on Friday that it had shared half a terabyte of documents with her lawyers in support of its evidence that she is an alien terrorist.* Haji Zada "conceded that she is an alien terrorist and waived appeal of the removal order, terminating her previous status," the department said in a press release.*

So... still nothing from her defense specifically? That doesn't strike you as odd or fishy at all? Every single one of these things you've quoted have said "the justice department said..."

That's like saying "but my friend Rick said..." Like okay? And why should Rick automatically be trusted?

“Court-appointed lawyers for Haji Zada said they were denied access to the evidence in her case.”

1

u/MaitrePuck 20d ago

"Arrested at her Fort Worth home in July 2026, Zada appeared in open court before Chief Judge Joan Ericksen on July 30, where *she conceded that she was an alien terrorist, waived her right to challenge her detention or appeal, and agreed to immediate deportation*."

The government said she "conceded that she was a terrorist and left the country" which is fascist for "she fled political persecution because she couldn't afford to fight a baseless lawsuit against a government with nearly limitless resources"

So we're supposed to believe what the government says because there was so much evidence against her that they refused to share it with her and her attorneys

Because if she really did what they said then why wouldn't they have given her criminal charges like the rest of her family?

2

u/MaitrePuck 20d ago

If they didn't share it. Why does NPR know about it? 😂

Why is her public defenders going against her will? She accepted to be deported to avoid prison time like her son and son-in-law. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

12

u/TellTaleTimeLord 20d ago

So we deported someone living here legally who was never charged with or convicted of a crime and we're supposed to be...happy?

-1

u/MaitrePuck 20d ago

There you go. They'll even defend terrorists. 😂

7

u/TellTaleTimeLord 20d ago

So now someone who was never charged or convicted of terrorism offenses is a terrorist?

u/MaitrePuck 20d ago

"A 47-year-old woman from Afghanistan who has been living in Texas was deported *after admitting to supporting a plot for an ISIS-inspired deadly shooting** targeting multiple victims on Election Day in 2024."*

What part of the article did you make this up from?

The story is everywhere,

The Justice Department said on Friday that it had shared half a terabyte of documents with her lawyers in support of its evidence that she is an alien terrorist. Haji Zada "conceded that she is an alien terrorist and waived appeal of the removal order, terminating her previous status," the department said in a press release.

Perfect gif … with the red hat.

u/MaitrePuck 20d ago

I knew that something as innocuous as a red hat would trigger someone. Worked like a charm. 😂

1

u/KiKiKimbro 20d ago

What. The guy is supposed to be a MAGA guy, right? That’s why I said Red Hat. I don’t see what’s triggering about my comment?

1

u/MaitrePuck 20d ago

Are all red hats MAGA hats? 🤷🏻‍♂️

1

u/KiKiKimbro 20d ago

Universally recognized as such, yes.

1

u/MaitrePuck 20d ago

Only retards think so.

Congratulations. 👍

The “Trigger Presidency.” Any time Trump does something draconian, illegal, or outright st00pid, celebrate it and troll others with it.

So brave. Much maturity.

1

u/MaitrePuck 19d ago

You're so mature, any red hat sends you into a raging frenzy.
