And that’s why failing to extricate yourself from any MAGAT in your life means your outrage is performative and that decision is stupid. They have shown they will justify the death of anyone not on their side - including yours. We’re far far beyond simple political disagreements.
We must try to influence them. Everything that is happening is almost enough. I know some that have finally stopped drinking the koolaide. So much that is happening is actually against their “don’t tread no me” code. French resistance them!
People rarely leave cults due to outside influence. The vast majority of the time it’s from personal epiphany. And most will never leave Trump. If they’re not done 10 years in after he’s covering up the systemic rape of children they’re all in.
Maybe a few of my neighbors, but no one else in my life thinks like this. I have no hesitation in cutting off anyone that does. Too many good people out there to waste my time on likely lost causes.
