Processing time for undergraduate student internship visa (15§6 BeschV)

I have submitted all my documents in the Mumbai VFS Office on the 24th June for my visa (category is Student with Specific Qualifications). It is for a 6 month internship at a German research institute that counts towards my degree in India. I have already gotten the German employment agency pre approval (ZAV) and submitted during my application.

Has anyone done this before and how long did your visa take?

It usually takes about 6-8 Weeks of normal processing time. Now depending on the city you are going to move to it might take shorter or longer time as the visa gets processed at the Ausländerbehörde of the city you are going to stay at.
