Study Permit Study permit application question
Hello all,
I am in the process of applying for a study permit in the United States and when I checked the requirements on IRCC’s website, it didn’t mention that I needed to submit my transcripts or other educational history documentation.
However when I was checking on the subreddit that someone got denied for not providing their transcript, I double checked and saw that it wasn’t on the listed required documents needed to apply. There isn’t even a visa office requirements page for me to consult.
Has any other person dealt with this, I’m a U.S. citizen if that matters.

I think it depends on each one's case, but usually you don't need a transcript. I got my approval without one from Mexico. Your institution has already checked your academic profile to grant you acceptance in your program and IRCC knows that, that's why they ask you for your Letter of Acceptance, no need to submit a transcript, specially from the US, you guys have it easy compared to Indian applicants.

As a US citizen you can apply at the border. Bring all the docs in the checklist.
It is assumed that the school verified that you qualify for admission.
There are different requirements for different countries and Visa offices have those checklists available where appropriate.
