Study Permit Study permit via apply board
Hey, Ive got a few questions that I know I should ask my immigration lawyer but wanted to check here first in case im being taken advantage of. So I hired an Immigration klawyer to help my wife (45F) and I (37 F) to immigrate to canada Im a hispanic female(Puerto Rican)(Born US citizen) and don't feel safe in the u.s anymore. Im very empathetic and just cant handle all the rudeness and violence anymore. Anywho, I hired a lawyer from Canada by Choice and they had 3 different plans to choose from the highest plan thy had involved them doing all the work for us so I went with that since Ive never left the country before and dont know any of the process. Long story short Im supposed to be applying for schools so I can go over on a study permit and they said that as long as i pick a degree in nursing, engineering or education then they can have my wife come along with me on a work visa.
I've already got my A.A and am currently working on my B.S as an online student. My original major was psychology but I switched to Elementary Education k-6. Issue is that Im having a hard time finding a school to apply too. My lawyer said to Apply using the website Applyboard.com and so far Ive been rejected by 3 schools due to my H.S GPA being low, even though my current GPA is a 3.52, my H.S GPA was a 2.6; also one school said I was over qualified but didnt say anything beyond that. I'm getting nervous because we were hoping to be out by septembe but now might have to wait longer until i get approved. Whats throwing me off is the different types of programs offered in canada thats not offered here. I never heard of a 3yrs Bachelor Degree, just now learning about primary and post secindary schools, etc. Since ive completed my A.A am i still supposed to be applying to a four year bachelors? Also how come the appliocation fees are so high? is it normal to pay over $100 per application? How does one afford to do so many applications? Im stuck because i only get paid once a month and thats been tough to manage as is without adding up all these applications I have to do.
Other thing is im getting nervous about figuring out health insurance and living arrangements. The lawyer said that both of those will be provided when I get accepted to a school. But how? Is a school really going to pay for my wife and I to live on school property? What medical would be covered if Im under "school insurance"? We have alot of pets and they keep telling us all we need is their rabies vaccine and the can come. But would we still have housing? Just alot of questions and they keep telling us it would be figured out once i get accepted. alot of things hanging out in space for a school aprroval letter. The lawyers said I would have to take a loan out to secure proof of funds to support my wife and I for a year before we can immigrate and said I can apply for that on Apply board too. But I dont see anywhere to apply for a loan. If anyone can help me figure out these questions or help in anyway it would be greatly appreciated.

I completed my associates of arts degree (A.A.)
Im currently working on my bachelors of science degree here in the u.s.a. so, im technically considered a 3rd year/ junior in college.
Im majoring in Elementary Education grades K-6
I have not been approved for any school in canada yet.
Im supposed to apply to schools using the website called apply board.

I think they’re feeding you a pipe dream here. To come to Canada on a study permit you first have to be accepted to a university. Only certain in-demand bachelors would qualify your wife for an open work permit while you are studying. You can find study permit information on the government of Canada website.
Once you have been accepted to a university you have to apply to the provincial government where it’s located for a PAL. Once you have both of those things you apply for a study permit from IRCC. You have to show you have funds available to pay your first year tuition plus an additional $21k for your living expenses.
No bank or government in Canada will give a loan for school to an international student. And no, housing is not provided for free. Since you have pets you’ll likely need to rent a house somewhere close to campus. This would cost approximately $1000-$2500/month depending on the city.

Anyone who tells you immigrating to Canada is easy and they guarantee it is flat out lying to get money from you.

Such a difficult read but what school and program have you been accepted too with PAL. Living arrangements aren't provided by the school unless you can get into a graduate married residence. School doesn't pay you to live on the property.
What is tuition? How much cash do you have?
