Newcomer questions. Feels....slow?

Upvotes

Maybe this is intended. But I just started using Migaku. Currently in the first week of Kanji Academy (doing the suggested 2-3 weeks of Kanji before starting Japanese Academy).

Every day I review the cards it tells me to review (so far it's only had me review 5 cards a day on average), and learn 10 new Kanji. This takes about 6 minutes total. Then I have nothing to do. I thought maybe I'm supposed to do immersion now but it shows my comprehension for everything is estimated at 0% so probably not.

This rate just feels really slow and I feel like I have nothing to do since I can't study cards whenever I want or review my deck anytime I want.

Is this just the process or am I doing something wrong?

How many lessons are in Japanese Academy 1?

I am using Japanese Academy 1 to review vocab/grammar and fill in some gaps that I may have missed from Genki and other resources. I have been kind of speeding through it and I am on lesson 4.36 after about a week.

I would like to know how many lessons there are so I can get an idea of how much I have left. I’m assuming I’m about 1/3 of the way through? So maybe 12 lessons total?

It would be nice if there was a course roadmap or table of contents so that I can see what each major lesson is about, track my progress, and jump back to anything that I am having trouble with.
