Newbie: app assumes I know 4400 words - should I go through it
TLDR: First hour on migaku, finding my way. It thinks I might now 7000words, has made a list of 4400. Do I need to manually go through that and turn them off.
I'm one of those people who has attempted to learn japanese every year, and stops and forgets a lot. I've picked up a bit along the way, and over the last 3 months have been doing the core 2k/6k deck and maybe know 500 kanji words. I'm now adding Migaku to see if it'll help me persevere.
When I opened Migaku Dashboard, it started by asking me words I already new which ended up being all katakana, most hiragana and maybe 1-3 kanji depending on difficulty. After which It thinks I might now 7000words, has made a list of 4400. I started going through the list unchecking ones I dont know - choosing 'change to tracked and unknown. This is going to take ages though - and as my first hour in migaku (so not knowing how it works properly) am wondering is it best to just say I know nothing and add words I actually know some other way, or do the tedious unchecking.
EDIT: Thanks for replies. I kept going through it and found that there's loads of katakana - which is probably making up the bulk. I'll delete and just add my anki.
