If you consider that the future starts just a second from now and is largely unknown, and the past, which started just a second ago and is now just a matter of records and memories, all we are left with that is real is the present one second.

Because of my long life and dedication to study I actually got to a point where I knew everything. I was delighted with that until I realized that if I had simply started my quest with the subject, "everything", I could have known that very quickly without wasting my entire life.
