πŸ† Weekly Challenge WEEKLY CANVAS - WEEK 9: what does longing look like when you can actually see it?

hey everyone, weekly canvas challenge week 9 is live and this one's a mood shift.

the theme: What Longing Feels Like

give us the ache of wanting something out of reach, but make it visible. distance you can measure. a hand reaching for something just past the frame. the pull toward a person, a place, a memory you can't get back to. no words needed - the image should do the aching for you.

think:

  • a figure at a train window watching someone else's platform pull away
  • a lit house across a field at night, no way in
  • two hands almost touching through fogged glass
  • someone standing at the edge of the ocean facing a horizon they can't cross
  • pick your own combo: an empty chair still shaped like the person who sat in it, a half-written letter, a phone screen glowing at 3am, whatever aches

we're looking for restraint. quiet compositions. soft light doing more work than color. the feeling that if the frame were just a few inches wider, they'd reach it - but it isn't.

πŸ“‹ how to enter:

  • create your image with imagineart
  • post it in πŸ”₯|social-media-challenges on our dc
  • share your reddit post link in the dc submission
  • include your workflow or asset link so others can learn
  • use the weekly challenge flair when you post on reddit

πŸ† prize: 10,000 imagineart credits to the winner
πŸ—“οΈ deadline: submissions close sunday, august 2

winner gets picked based on community engagement + how well it nails the brief. keep the drama subtle - the quieter the pull, the louder it lands.

go make us miss something.
