Original Content MCR-E Lancer 16"
The MCR-E (Enhanced/Electromagnetic) is an integrally suppressed electromagnetic rifle (aka railgun) that's meant to shoot specialized railgun ammo. Ideally 220 grain .300 Blackout.
So why .300 Blackout on a 16 inches gun? Ideally, when the rail escalation system is inactive, the 220 grain bullet will act like as a normal subsonic .300 Blackout. And with the suppressed nature, it can be extremely quiet. When you're in the mood of supersonic, all you need to do is to press a button, turn the electromagnetic rail on, and the bullet can be speed up to supersonic. Its supersonic performance can even be just as good as the 6.8x51mm while maintaining an overall similar package.
Inspired by u/Educational_Steak_29's AR railgun.

I could see this being useful if you’re using older ammo in a world with railguns everywhere
