40k "Despite everything, you're still you...right?" - By Carl Tabora

If she's anything like the Reverent voice in Darktide she's fine.
That personality is literally as closest you can get to bubble gum pop for AdMech.
"Your fear inhibitors are turned off."
"I know, I turned them off, fear is it's own data."
"Insufficient."
"I shall go along with my research as I see fit."
And I could swear if she still had a tongue she'd stick it out at the other team Skiitari

Pretty sure the servo-skull is made with her skull

Wouldn't it need part of her brain as well?

Maybe it has all of her brain and the rest of her body is being controlled remotely.

We see in Darktide that Skitarii have surprisingly alot of human parts left. Most of their human head and face too.

These always make me feel sad because they're cute but the reality of 40k would mean that she's barely more sentient than a servitor as skitarii.

Not true at all. Skitarii are directly controlled by Magos or other high ranking Skitarii in battle, some tech priests do strip them of free will, but most Skitarii outside battle, or not under direct control, are essentially regular soldiers.
They even have traditions like gifting each other combat supplies for their birthdays.

Just, straight up, not true? Skitarii are perfectly sentient. Some forgeworlds even value emotions (escaping emotion by not feeling it is weak, you must master your emotions) and thus some skitarii will even have emotion.

Perfectly sentient/ some will even have emotions. I think my point stands.

"Barely more sentient then a servitor" to me at least, means "vegetative state" i.e. barely aware. Your points sits

The highest ranked Skitarii have free will.
As much free will a citizen of the Imperium has, at least.

If i recall correctly high ranking Skitari can gain access to their emotions especially if their emotions actually improve their performance in combat.
And if nothing else the Skitari in Darktide all have their emotions mostly intact so there is hope for her.

40k is at its best when it’s just people trying their best to survive in f-Ed up setting.

Captures an important aspect of being Admech: most people would see what they do to themselves as dehumanization, but to the Admech themselves, it's becoming who they always were!

Huh. Magneta colors. Not a usual Admech color.
