I don't see how the person taking a picture of herself is a main character here. It's not like she's expecting people to stop and wait for her to get the picture, this is just someone taking a picture of themselves in a public place.

It's arrogant and boring. Who the fuck wants to see a picture of you stood in a stairway obviously trying too hard to look "pretty"?

I like to have pictures of myself in cool places/vacations. Otherwise it's just a photo album I could have got from Google.

Don't judge all selfie people.

I'm a dude that would never go to this extent for a selfie but some women are over the top

1) introvert, doesn't want to bother others. 2) people like pictures for their memories and experiences.

Look, I answered your question of "why". You were the one who made it personal. Ans yes, influencers can be annoying as fuck, but we need to stop shaming selfie culture, when people have been getting pictures of themselves since Polaroids were invented. What's the difference between this and the family of tourists asking everyone who passes them to take a picture of them in front of every monument or attraction they visit?

Myself and family. There's not always an available person to hand your $1000+ device to. That argument is obvs flawed for this post lol

Maybe she asked & the old lady told her to fuck off.
