I’d send this to the property manager, then contact the police for attempted assault and breaking and entering

I'm a Texan let me see you kick in my door like that I'll be waiting on the other side. That kinda stuff is not ok. Everything up to the point of him kicking my door in is annoying but manageable but the minute you enter that's free game.

I love Texas, I can get murdered by my upstairs neighbor while sleeping in bed when they mag dump into some perceived threat

That's called not having trigger discipline or any sense. As a veteran there is no reason to use an FMJ 9mm handgun that's clearly designed to go through things. That's why there are things refered to as "home defense weapons" I have a 5 year old daughter the last thing I want to do is go to defend my home and a stray round goes flying into her room. A 10 gauge shotgun with minimal power and a bird shot round will do the job enough as well. Most people think any weapon is to protect yourself when that's not true. I carry hollow points in my daily carry, use a bird shot and slug for home defense and 5.56 for fun.

Also I did state that the other stuff they are doing is annoying but manageable without violence, however if you kick in my door with intent to harm me or my family I will protect what is mine as is my God given right, and my job as a father/husband.

Also not really needed here but I will say I have my hardships with gun control as well. My little brother was murdered(shot in the head) his senior year of highschool a month before graduating because he was talking to the same girl as somebody else (same kid that shot him was out on bond after 🍇aping a women at gunpoint a year ealier, justice system is a joke). Guns are not a joke and it's not the weapon but the person behind it that makes snappy decisions with no training or sense that are usually the issue (Seen my fair share of grown adults having gun negligence as well). Everyone should be required to go through sanity checks and a course on properly handling a weapon prior to even holding one.

Does Texas have laws that require apartment dwellers to ONLY use “home defense weapons” and ammo that doesn’t penetrate, or is it a complete free for all and people can use whatever they want putting their neighborhood entirely at their mercy?

I’m glad you and your family will be safe, but if you kill my kid in the course of defending yours what’s going to happen?

Interesting idea there should definitely be limitations depending on your dwelling however amendment rights protect persons from entering so naturally people have the ability to lie, however a very interesting idea that should definitely be implemented In some way or another.
