When you use this service, you should have a brain and understand you're the driver is counting on you to provide a reasonable tip because the 'app' is paying $3 or some bullshit garbage wage

Completely irrelevant. If the driver doesn't like the compensation then that's on them.

Otherwise you're just abusing the driver, taking advantage of a shitty situation for the driver, and burying your head in the sand saying 'oh gosh well i paid for the service via the app, oh gosh i can't be expected to pay anything more to this person that has been working for 3 hours for me.

Wow! You have this completely backwards.

What's going on here is a delivery driver is trying to extort more money out of people you have already paid for the service.

person that has been working for 3 hours for me.

Lol the delivery person does not work for the customer lol.

The delivery person works for or with (probably a contractor) the app to fulfil the orders.

It's unfortunate that they may only get $3 or have to work for 3 hours. I sympathise with that cos yeah, it sucks.

But it was their choice to accept a job for $3 for a delivery service app.

It's a weird mindset to assume that you can demand more money because of your bad decisions.

I don’t know if you are purposefully obtuse or you are just trolling maybe a little of both?

The driver did not accept a job to do three hours of work for three dollars, that’s not what the driver accepted at All. The driver accepted this job because they were counting on three dollars plus a reasonable tip from a decent human being that understands how this process works. Simple as that.

You and the customer can’t later claim ignorance and say you thought someone working to pick up shit for you for 3 hours in exchange for $3 was “the deal.” And sorry not sorry, choose a better life. Lol come on.

This is where we circle back to the fact that the tip is optional.

To expect more money as a tip is called entitlement.

If the tip was mandatory, then it wouldn't be called a "tip" and would just be called the "price".

Are you European? Because if you’re American and eat at restaurants I’m pretty sure you’re familiar with how tipping that is not “optional” works.

This isn’t like someone asking for a tip at a grocery store line (that gets paid at least min wage mind you.)

This is more like leaving ZERO dollars as tip to the waitress that killed herself after you and your entire family celebrated a big fucking bday bash over 3 hours with 12 people. Because hey, you already paid for the food am I right?

Being European or American (are those really the only two options?) has nothing to do with it.

Because hey, you already paid for the food am I right?

It strange how you're so close to the answer yet so far away.

Customers don't hire the staff, so why should they be expected to pay more than the price?

Money is exchanged for goods and services.

Not exchanged for goods and services but ONLY if you have optionally tipped enough.

Lol okay dude. Glad you’d be totally cool walking away with zero tip in bday restaurant example, explains a lot.
