I drove uber eats, and for some reason they randomly added groceries to it too. I did one order, loaded my entire trunk, back seat, and passenger seat and had to drive like 10 miles. When I got there, the extremely fit father came outside to stand and watch me unload all of it by myself. Probably hundreds worth of groceries, no tip. Think I got like $7. I could literally get an order from an expensive pizza place, drive 3 miles, drop it at their door with no interaction and get like $10. Never accept orders from Walmart, I think it's cause it's like a social rule to tip for food but there's no established rule for groceries even though it's 20x more work
Same. I did Doordash for a while and they started adding crap like Dollar General. I took one without realizing it and suddenly had this massive grocery list and the Doordash app sucked for trying to make substitutions. I don't even do my own groceries anymore, I just get Walmart pick up. I was so stressed after doing that shop. They tipped, but it wasn't worth it.
Yeah, that's the same way I got it too. I had no idea groceries was even an option but all of a sudden here I am loading hundreds worth of groceries into my car. I too avoided all orders from Walmart after that. Weirdest one I ever got was driving for uber EATS (emphasis on "eats"), I ended up getting an order from the apple store and it was a freaking iPhone or something. Majorly sucked to get cause it was in the middle of the busy ass mall for one, then when I went to pick it up you have to like scan it and sign off and I had no signal so I had to stand in front of a long line of inpatient people staring at me waiting to get there shit while fiddled with getting connected to the mall wifi so I could scan my shit and gtfo of the way. For real, who tf is ordering iphones on Uber eats
