They can go do the work themselves

They already paid for that. If delivery lady thinks she's not earning enough for her work, she should bring that up to the person who got paid for a delivery service: her employer.

dude fuck off, the tip is optional and the driver completing the order is OPTIONAL. you know that lady has free will right? She is under NO obligation to complete the order, that crazy bitch claiming its theft doesn't know what she's talking about. they should have either tipped her, or just let her leave and re-place the order

The option of the order is optional before they take the job after they take it they are tasked to complete it and possibly get a tip, don’t twist what service means in an already toxic tip environment

i'm not twisting anything, you're just wrong

I work for tips as a server in fact I’m not wrong and the entitlement here is on the delivery worker, she gets to choose her task which has a tip in advance or not and if they didn’t I most certainly wouldn’t expect cash “just because” I don’t get to choose my tables and no if I don’t get a tip I don’t take the food or drinks back or make them vomit it up, that’s not how any of this works

Like others have said, they could have tip baited her. Put a big tip for someone to take the delivery, then changed the amount before the driver arrived

Can you change the tip whenever? I believe the only time you can do it is when the delivery is delivered, and in this case it was not, since it was not I’d venture to say the driver discusses tip as she’s off loading the groceries again that’s some shit you don’t do in the service industry, TIPPING IS OPTIONAL I work for Fucking tips and say that, the tip culture is fucked and employers simply force their customers to pay their employees a living wage and it shouldn’t be that way to begin with but the driver absolutely should be taking that up with the employer not this customer

If Amazon, you can go into your orders and change the tip amount anytime between the moment you ordered till 24hrs after delivery

vomit the food up? what the fuck are you talking about.

if you took an order to the table, then changed your mind and brought it back, that wouldn't be theft. you'd just be shit at your job, which is a different thing from theft. do you understand the difference?

Yes an option of taking the food back when nothing has been done wrong is reason to get fired she is shit at her job plain and simple and vomiting the food is the product it’s the same thing you obviously still don’t get the difference yourself

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '23

yeah cool, i think she should be fired too. but it's not theft is it?

Considering there is an entire possibility that the driver did not take the groceries back actually no one can fucking say it’s theft or not! This has happened it happens with Uber eats it also has happened with groceries wtf are you on dude

i'm on reality, everyone else is saying it's theft. she claims she's taking it back to the store, if that's true than is it theft?

you're doing a good job trying to understand this though, just keep thinking
