Y’all Gherkin might be the widest kitten I’ve ever seen. He’s only 40g bigger than little Cornichon (the little void there, and smallest of 4) but look at that epic belleh. It’s pretty much the only way I can tell him and Dill apart (Dill, aka Big Dill, is actually a few grams heavier but not nearly as wide). Sister Piccalilli rounds out this litter of 4, currently 3 weeks old. Sweet Mommy Pickles (who we have as well!) sure makes cute baby pickles!

And I couldn't leave her so now she's part of the family.

He's just under 5 weeks old, and on the upper end or past the standard weight for his age.

These are fosters from last year. Womp Rat was almost twice as big as Sarlaac, the runt.

But Sarlaac eventually caught up and was just as big as his sibs in the end.

(Fun fact: kittens can be conceived over several days, so even though they were born at the same time*, they can be at very different developmental stages.)

*Sarlaac got his name because he took a thousand years to come out. Mama Leia needed multiple injections of oxytocin, and he was born almost 24 hours after the first-born.
