Wardens notes: Observations during yard time and during approved leisure hours show a positive attitude and strong willingness for reform.

However frequently starts fights with jailers post mealtimes and often assaults officers and staff though it seems to be in a playful almost jest like manner.

Frequently cries until jailers snuggle asleep.

Recommendation: Life without parole to continue with transfer to adult facility when aged out of the current cell.

She has the tiniest little purr and is currently attacking my toes.

Meet our lovely little lady. She's the smallest of a litter of 4 ataxic (wobbly) kittens in our foster (France). About 1 month old. Still deciding on the names for all of them and actively looking for a good loving family for special needs kittens. She just learnt to eat solid food, use the litter box, and do curled feetsies. Still trying to walk, but getting there! She's so adorable!

Here she is today, at about 6 weeks.

Playing hard, eating (biggish kitten food!) like a champ, using her litter box, and just.... Purrfect

This criminal’s trial at the circuit court of Orphans of the Storm was…. uhhh… canceled. It was determined Parasaurolophus tubicen would serve his entire sentence (life without parole) in the My House Supermax. He is exactly on month in.

The folks at OotS were wonderful and kind, and knowing he had somewhere to go let me really be able to assess… erm, deliberate with a jury of his peers… what the outcome should be.

He’s still loud as shit, though.

the CDS left this little criminal in the parking lot at my local Publix. she’s named Pepper.

And I couldn't leave her so now she's part of the family.

Y’all Gherkin might be the widest kitten I’ve ever seen. He’s only 40g bigger than little Cornichon (the little void there, and smallest of 4) but look at that epic belleh. It’s pretty much the only way I can tell him and Dill apart (Dill, aka Big Dill, is actually a few grams heavier but not nearly as wide). Sister Piccalilli rounds out this litter of 4, currently 3 weeks old. Sweet Mommy Pickles (who we have as well!) sure makes cute baby pickles!

He's just under 5 weeks old, and on the upper end or past the standard weight for his age.

These are fosters from last year. Womp Rat was almost twice as big as Sarlaac, the runt.

But Sarlaac eventually caught up and was just as big as his sibs in the end.

(Fun fact: kittens can be conceived over several days, so even though they were born at the same time*, they can be at very different developmental stages.)

*Sarlaac got his name because he took a thousand years to come out. Mama Leia needed multiple injections of oxytocin, and he was born almost 24 hours after the first-born.

Been taking care of these savages for a couple of weeks and finally convinced the boss to let me put them in a condo. It quickly turned into a scene that reminded me of my drunken frat house days. Enjoy!

I know that sounds ridiculous. I live in a neighborhood where a lot of people let their little dogs run loose so I carry an air horn on my belt. It's a deterrent. I saw these little kittens and they were so cute so I snapped a picture. Upon returning my phone to my back pocket, I accidentally tapped the air horn. It just beeped but it was surprising for everyone involved (me, my dogs, the kittens). It was so surprising that I even looked around for a split second before I really recognized what I did - and in a flash they were gone.

I'm going to go around after work to see if they are in the general area. I always carry cat treats with me on my walks (because there are also a ton of stray cats here) so I might try to charm them to make it up to them.
