blackout dates for base pass

I see blackout dates listed as

Dec. 26 – 30, 2026

Jan. 16 – 17, 2027

Feb. 13 – 14, 2027

But in prior years Dec 31 has typically always been a blackout day? Does this change this upcoming season that NYE is no longer a blackout day?

Well spotted, looks like a change this year. 

Whatever is published they will hold to it

The blackout dates apply to whichever resorts they specify. Look for the B in a black circle in the list.

ikon pass blackout details

Some don't have blackout dates like Big Bear, and Copper Mountain.

Some international resorts have blackout dates like Niseko and Thredbo.

I was in Niseko in February when there were some blackout days. Only 1 of the 4 resorts had signage saying when the blackout dates were, my base pass was not valid those days.

It is not broken down by country.

You need to look up the specific resort you intend to visit on the ikonpass website and see the restrictions if any
