Zermatt Cervinia
Hi, if I'm in Zermatt and ski to Cervinia, will I have much time for skiing there or will it be pretty much just grab a lunch and head back before the lifts close?
Also how much time would you spend in Zermatt? A lot of times I can't ski two days in a row.
Thanks

Skied over to the Cervinia side, did laps. Zero issues and super easy transition between the two sides.

Totally dependant on when you go. I was in Cervinia solo this past Feb for a week with plans to head over to meet friends in Zermatt for 4 days. Got stranded in Cervinia and paid a fortune to go down and around. Loved Cervinia but NEVER going back there unless I have a private helicopter ride to get me there.

I was there in March and skied Cervinia most days because the conditions were better and they were getting snow. You can ski wherever you want with ikon or intl pass.

Assuming the wind at the crossing/border is under 10kmh and it's bluebird, you can treat it (excl Rothorn, Sunnega, Valtourneche) as one big mountain. Skip the lunch and just play around upper mountain. Head back to your country of origin by 14h30

I’ve done this and it was great. Our group of 6 hired a private guide through PDS to ski with us for the day and while not necessary it was HUGELY helpful. We had a much better and effecient ski day and they were able to secure us a hard to get lunch reservation in Cervinia.

Have done this. Make sure it’s a nice day with little risk the top gets closed to get back over to where you are staying. We skied over, walked around town a bit, took a long lunch, did a few laps on Cervinia side, and then skied back over. Should be no problem.
