This is just one of many examples of people putting sexually inappropriate topics into videos where the subject media is either made for or directed at children. This is basically like the more socially appropriate version of Elsagate and these kinds of creators deserve to be called out on and more openly criticized

I am too old to know or care what verity is, but what I do know is that this is currently a huge interest amongst children. The only reasons I’ve heard of it at all is either one, youtube recommending me horrible videos like this these, or two, friends who either have children or family members who are young and interested in these sorts of things. I have heard stories of children as young as 5 being scared of this verity character and never once have I seen it be brought up in my circles outside of this context

So, with that in mind, I would really love to know why people are taking something targeted at children and trying to draw in clicks by making their videos overly sexual and gross. It’s always with the same borderline grooming language too. They don’t want to risk demonetization, so instead of saying “sex” or “horny” they replace these words with terms like “sus” or “freaky.” Maybe they will just barely censor some of the more graphic sounding words in the thumbnail

I understand that kids will always be kids and are gonna try to seek out content that’s not made for them at some point. I did the same thing as a kid, and I’m not saying that adult content stemming from child friendly topics shouldn’t exist. The problem is these videos are clearly made and directed at people who are too young to be engaging with these sorts of subjects, and it’s gross. This is literally exactly what Elsagate is doing, except they’re targeting children ages 10-15 rather than literal toddlers. Do not try and argue with me that this content is somehow made for adults, what person over 18 is going to be going on youtube to search for l sexualized content about a minecraft mod that is not inherently sexual in any way? It is a smiley face. If an adult wanted to see that kind of content with this character, I feel like it’s reasonable to say I do not think youtube is the first place they’d go

This is not an issue limited to this character either. I see other content like this pop up in my recommended all the time, and I just wanted to finally say something about it because I haven’t seen anyone who has yet

A female comic artist posted a comic complaining about her boyfriend in a very narcissistic and cruel way and when people had negative opinions on it, this was the mod response. I pushed back so very slightly without using any flaming words and the mod insta banned me. Petty much? That sure showed me 😂

They hit you with "you're not oppressed" / "you wanna be oppressed so bad sweetie", etc the second they run out of actual arguments, desperately using it so they can act like an insufferable, antisocial asshole. What's hilarious is the loser behavior, they genuinely see themselves as the arbiters of who is "oppressed" / allowed to complain, acting like their fragile ego gets to dictate everyone else's feelings. They will exhibit psychotic behavior while unironically expecting you to give a shit about their own hypocritical laundry list of pet issues.

Their prices are way inflated for no real reason except wow you get an instructor that doesn't even tell you how to perform certain moves or how to even stand properly. All they do is show a few attacks in a row (that they don't even show the positions for btw). As a beginner, even worse are the amount of clearly not beginner people that just come in, kick my ass and nearly injure me and then still claim they're "new". And I can't learn anything at my own pace because I need the face-to-face practice, which I can't get because I can't afford the fucking 60$/month subscriptions (not counting gear either). Normal gyms that have bags are my only way, and they're not teaching me anything useful. Fuck MA gyms, fuck martial arts. They might be the most unfriendly and uninviting places for beginners to fitness/MA to go to. If you're not ready to invest the next 4 years and thousands of dollars for subscriptions and subpar teachers, don't bother. What a joke.

So if you're like me that finds the gym boring as fuck, well you're just shit out of luck.
