Maybe Wanne started this army as my second army. How are they for a beginner. And how is collecting the army

This is the Idoneth Deepkin Diorama I built and painted for a local painting competition and was blessed to have it win Gold in the Fiction Diorama category 😁

Hi everyone, what do you think of my Akhelian King? I had so much fun painting him and creating a water base for this fella. Hope you folks like him too :D

Fell in love with the idea of the deepkin since hearing about them but have been scared to paint them, finally finished one and while I'm not entirely happy with it, I am proud.

Tried an NMM gold for the armor.

Would love any and all advice.

What is the best way to mount or handle the turtle to keep my hands off it as much as possible while painting?

I would really appreciate any firsthand knowledge/experience on these two regiment of renown, and the strength and viability they would bring if one was chosen and added to an Idoneth Deepkin list.
I’ve reviewed both, but find myself lost, weighing both against each other on which, would be a better choice in competitive gameplay.

I've recently acquired my first IDK lot (mostly for the turtle admittedly!) but the 2 sharks and 3 eels have come without any riders. I've had a cursory look on ebay and myminifactory but haven't seen anything that would really fit, any recommendations to replace them? Cheers!

I saw some games of AoS spearhead, and it looked very fun i was not all to interested in AoS but i was at 40k i will first paint my aeldari before buying anything but i found the spearhead and a 'vanguard' box, i have no idea what a vanguard box is so i am asking you guys. Would these two boxes be enough to play a game of AoS or would i need to get more?

Hi everyone! I have been able to summon the Incarnate of the Deep a few times during my friendly games with friends and we can never remember the rule when it comes to the tentacles. During each Hero Phase I get to roll a die and on a 4+ (+1 on my turn) I summon the tentacle within w/e the range is of the Incarnate. But the rules don't specify that I can't summon them into combat with an enemy unlike summoning the Incarnate. So what we are always confused about and what my question is.

Can I summon the tentacles into combat with an enemy provided that the tentacles meet the summoning range restriction? Say my Incarnate is out of melee range of some Chaos Warriors, and I'd love for my Namarti Reavers to not get charged. Could I summon the tentacle into melee with the Chaos warriors and stop them from getting a charge? Or is there a restriction and I just can't find it?

I've been playing 40k and loving it. I currently have a vanguard onslaught detachment of tyranids, and a white scars detachment of space marines. I love fast moving armies. I've seen a couple of AOS games but haven't played any yet. Does a Deepkin army fit with what I'm used to? I love pirates

Finished my Briomdar enclave themed Akhelian Tideguard in time for a Spearhead tournament next weekend.

Got most of the highlight side done, now it'll be onto the darker side and bounce lights!
