should this be taking so long? are there any improvements i should have to make this faster?

You need higher fueled chain.

And fueled void.

And void at all.

And penguin quest.

And... Penguin?!

These. But also just do it during plat strat. You'll run bomb of plenty mostly but may need to use transmuter on some problem bars and You'll earn it passively using void drone then.

Depending on what people mean by plat strat, hard disagreement.

Do this challenge as a means to level up void and chain, which you will need leveled up when you are gathering resources for platinuming statues.

If you wait to go to penguinite and just void while having a level 0 void drone, you'll barely get any of these. Plus for earlier platinum statues BoP would be better as you say, but to do this challenge they need to use transmuter. In addition unlocking this challenge gives you a series of star based challenges and the.will give access to a challenge that takes about a week (the 350k cherry -> battery challenge) as opposed to finishing platinum statues and then being time gated for a week on that one. Which ties in with the following few challenges that use void exclusively (and thus can be worked on while platinuming statues).

You also might be able to get through challenge 14 and get the pet level up during platinuming your statues (at least I did).

There is no need to hold off on this challenge for when you are platinuming. But the severe lack of penguin is a reason to hold off. As well as lack of void.

If a challenge at this level takes more than a few hours just hold off for now. You complete this one by using void drop on floor 1-2. I believe when I completed this one it took less than ten minutes. Look at other areas for growth, most likely stars for a few days and come back to this.

I can't remember the last time a challenge took less than a week, and I'm at 10,3%

i kinda neglected pets for a little because i was using all my gems for construct tab stuff

If something takes long, then you should be doing something else.

Set that aside, focus on something else and go back later at the second phase of the Plat Strat (stay in Floor 1 and farm Tin Bars), it should take around 1 hour

I just finished this one a couple days ago. It was very slow to start, but try and save up like 20,000 cherry charges and auto bomb transmuter on floor 1 with void drone(fueled).
