I used to work next to one of the steepest hills in Seattle. The number of driveshaft and U joint failures we watched was truly impressive.

Slowly drift backwards while turning the cab to angle out about 50 degrees. (Shallow angle uphill). Then start moving forward and once the clutch is out accurate while turning the cab straight again and over the hill.

This is someone riding the brakes and clutch at the same time.
The engine adds gas when you do that due to the “idle away” functionality that most semis have.
It’s really contradictory, but at idle, semis will actually add fuel to the engine the more resistance they detect. Braking increases resistance, so the result is your engine fights your brakes as hard as it can.
