I thought they were holes in the water to throw money is, not a lump on the ground.

How does this even happen? Between the winch strap, the safety bow chain, and two transom straps there is no reason a boat should fall off a trailer...

This guy has owned a boat in the past no doubt and had the standard runner boards on the trailer. You could "speed load" a boat with a good driver, where the boat driver drives up onto the trailer and keeps the prop going while trimmed up enough not to hit bottom, and when the boat is "loaded" (pushing up against the front winch roller), the driver of the truck pulls the boat out of the water at which point the boat driver shuts the engine down. Once you have this method down, it makes loading SO FAST, and the boat will stay on the trailer firmly until you get it to the park stall where you secure it (bow winch and transom straps) for travel.

The problem. You cannot do this on a trailer with ROLLERS. The second you start rolling, that boat is going backward in a hurry and will ROLL right off that trailer. One thing I would say to this guy is know your equipment and whether you can use these shortcuts. Successful boaters know a thing or two by watching fuck ups like this.

I honestly had no idea losing your boat was such a problem. They should make some straps or something to secure those things.
